Blizzard Posts: Dec 13th Hotfixes, Upcoming Legendary Changes, Unholy DKs and Apocalypse
Patch 7.1.5 PTR blue posts for December 13th cover some major changes to legendary items and a change to
Apocalipsis
. These changes should be visible in the next PTR build.
Legendaries that provide a strong throughput increase are being toned down, and those that have more niche uses are being given another pass. In blue post follow ups, Lore stated that if Blizzard were to redo the system now, they'd likely only have utility legendaries. For all the new and changed legendaries in 7.1.5 so far, check out our
7.1.5 Legendary Item Preview

December 13th hotfixes added to the post.

Class Design on the 7.1.5 PTR
When the 7.1.5 PTR went up earlier this week, we had
spell changes from datamining
but no specific class changes in the
official patch notes
. As such, there was some confusion as to the intended changes and class directions for specializations that seemed unfinished.
Today, Blizzard explained that the 7.1.5 PTR so far only shows roughly half of the mechanical changes, with more of them coming in the next build. Once the mechanical changes are in a good place, adjustments to overall performance will follow.

Classic Server Update
While many players are looking forward to
Patch 7.1
or speculating on
BlizzCon panel announcements
, other players are interested in followups on the Legacy Server situation from the spring. Community Manager Ornyx explains that there will not be any updates to share at BlizzCon, although the development team is still discussing it.
Ornyx
Hey everyone,
We’ve seen some talk among the community that you might be expecting to hear some news on legacy servers at BlizzCon, and we just wanted to take a moment to let you know that while we’re still discussing the possibility, we won’t have any updates to share on that until after the show.
These past few months we’ve been laser-focused on the launch of Legion and getting Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan ready to go (it’s almost here!), as well as prepping for BlizzCon—which is always a huge undertaking itself. You’ve heard us say that the launch of Legion was just the beginning of the story we want to tell in this expansion. What we will focus on at BlizzCon is how the team is committed to making sure we bring you a steady stream of content going forward, and we can’t wait to share what’s next for Legion.
Thanks for your patience, and we’ll see you at BlizzCon.

Sept 15th Hotfixes, Class Balance Update, 7.1 PTR Dungeon/Raid Testing Plans, Honor Talents in 7.1
In the
Legion Developer Q&A
last week, Ion Hazzikostas talked about upcoming hotfixes based around endgame (raiding, etc) data and how it's tricky to tweak classes before the content is available.
In a follow-up blue post today he stated that the aim is to do a broad pass of tuning hotfixes after the first week of raiding and Mythic Keystone dungeons, to get a good sense of endgame data. However, there are some outliers which Blizzard will be addressing quite soon to reduce tank damage as well as the AoE burst of Havoc Demon Hunters and Windwalker Monks.
Other posts in today's roundup include 7.1 PTR Dungeon and Raid testing plans, as well as the reasoning why Honor Talents will no longer reset with Prestige in 7.1.
Mythic Keystones and Dungeons Preview
Piedra angular mítica
s and a new level of dungeon difficulty is unlocking on September 20th. You can prep for them in advance with our
Legion Dungeon Guides
which have detailed information on all abilities.
Blizzard has previewed the system below, here are the highlights:
Keystones allow you to run higher-difficulty versions of Mythic+. You can keep leveling up your keystone by completing the dungeon in a certain timeframe.
At the end of a Mythic Keystone run, players get a chest with two high-quality items, starting at ilvl 845 and going up to 865 for Mythic Level 10.
This will be capped at 850 for week 1: which was new information as of today's post
.
For the highest level dungeon you clear in one week, you will get a corresponding loot chest in your Class Hall the week after. This chest will contain a keystone and loot; your best dungeon from the week before affects how good the keystone and loot is.
In Mythic+, the mobs have a fixed set of affixes which change every week. This will create group variation--there won't be one set group of specs that is best for every set of affixes
There is no lockout for Mythic+. The amount of keystones is the limiting factor instead. This should allow players towards the later part of the week to have a fair chance finding groups.
¡Primero del reino! Maestro de la piedra angular de Legion
is a new feat of strength available in Legion for participating in the realm-first completion of a Level 15 or higher Mythic dungeon within the time limit. A special artifact tint is also unlocked with
Maestro de la piedra angular
.

Artifact Power from Quests and Treasures Scales with Knowledge
Artifact Power from quests and treasures was confirmed to scale with Artifact Knowledge today. There was a concern that one-time AP rewards with lots of power would be something players would delay turning in until they had a lot of Artifact Knowledge to scale up. On the other hand, if the quest and treasure items did not scale up, it wouldn't feel good to return to old content to get a minuscule reward.
In addition to scaling Artifact Power items up, they also now grant a much smaller base amount of power. These items have been updated on Wowhead, such as
Dije de caminavalles
.
