This Wowhead endgame build guide covers the best Skills, rotation, gear, Paragon boards, Glyphs, nodes, and consumables for the Blight Golem Minions Necromancer in Diablo 4.
Blight Golem Necromancer brings forth a new generation to the world of Minions. No longer are we weak and an afterthought. No, now we are an unstoppable powerhouse being able to fully focus on damage multipliers without worry of our resources, nor defensives to an extent since we have a wall of the undead to distract our enemies. Utilizing the powerful in combination with a plethora of other massive damage increases such as and allows us to become a walking nightmare that's both easy to understand and simple to progress with. Step inside, welcome to the blight.
Blight Golem Minions Necromancer in Season 5
Are you prepared for the "Wombo Combo"? This term is coined for the build as we're constantly tightly packing enemies together, locking them down through powerful crowd control abilities then blasting them repeatedly with until they are no more. With this build being quite flexible in terms of gameplay, it allows players of all intention and skill types to excel in their goals. For a more casual relaxed playstyle, two buttons can typically be enough, and for those wishing to really push things to the max -- well, it has that too. Complexity or simplicity: the choice is yours.

Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
Weaknesses
Things are generally pretty smooth for Blight Golem Minions, although there are moments such as when our enemies sprint through our Minions and manage to reach us where things can get dicey. Mostly, this comes in the opening moments when we need to summon our Minions, or if they take a huge burst of AoE damage and we need to resummon them. Otherwise, we are a true powerhouse of a build that can contest with the best of them.
Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Skills and Rotation
Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Primary Skills and Rotation
Our playstyle does have somewhat of a rotation to it, yet it also follows a priority system in the same breath since certain abilities need to be pressed immediately once they've come up.
(1/5)
Typically Corpse Tendrils will be our first ability used depending on how spread out a pull is. It's very situational, thus somewhat a priority system. Nevertheless, we want to find our first corpse so we can pull them all together with this. Not only does it tightly lock them all together so we may begin our "Wombo Combo" properly, but it also guarantees a way to apply the Vulnerable status.
For Bosses, we want to use this off cooldown or right before all of our damage-increasing buffs are activated to fill up their Stagger bar or apply Vulnerable.
(1/1)
Here comes the boom! This is our bread-and-butter ability that deals the vast majority of our damage and the "Wombo" in our "Combo". The Golem active ability hits for an astronomical amount once we have all of our buffs rolling, even without them this skill hits like a truck.
Ideally, use this right after everything has been pulled together with and has been applied. However, it may also be used as an engagement tool just to get enemies focused on our Minions rather than us having to sprint forward and aggro them ourselves.
To min-max our damage, it becomes a bit more complicated. We need to track all of our damage buffs such as , , having off cooldown and used right before the Golem Active usage, activated, along with fully stacked if using this Unique. It seems like a lot, but these buffs have very minor downtime so they naturally are coming online often, which makes it so our eyes do not need to be glued to our buff icons generally.
(1/5)
Blood Mist may sometimes be the first ability we use since our comes from . Alternatively, it may be used right after everything has been pulled together with , depending on the situation. This gives us a safe way to apply since we need to be somewhat close to enemies.
As always, Blood Mist is also our main defensive ability since it provides complete immunity during its duration. So if things are getting dicey, remember our key motto, "When in doubt, Blood Mist it out."
(1/1)
This is how we raise our Skeletal Minions. More importantly, we need to use this ability often since it not only provides our Minions with a damage buff and healing, but it is also our main way to activate . With a short casting animation, Raise Skeleton lets us get this multiplier activated on demand by quickly consuming 5 corpses with rapid presses of the button.
(1/5)
Directly after has pulled things together, cast Bone Prison. This not only applies Vulnerable, but also gives us even higher Cooldown Reduction, allowing higher uptime. Since is our huge damage-increasing cooldown, this is incredibly valuable. As an added bonus, Bone Prison keeps things from wandering away, or lethally charging us sending our character to an early grave.
(1/1)
Used immediately after everything has been pulled together, or if min-maxing, right after all of our damage-increasing buffs are activated, Army of the Dead is our ultimate deletion cooldown. Our damage soars through the roof when pressed through .
It's worth noting that situationally Army of the Dead may be used to resummon all of our Skeletal Minions, either mid-fight or right when we're starting whatever content we may be attempting. This is not optimal, however, there are moments where it should be used for this very reasoning and not hesitated. At the end of the day it is a tool at our disposal, and having it on cooldown is better than death.
(1/5)
Even though it is not placed on our bars since we gain it through , Decrepify is incredibly important to our overall gameplay and should always be kept active upon our enemies. It gives multiple benefits, with the most important being the Cooldown reduction from our chosen modifier. However, it also applies Crowd Control, lets us take less damage and has a chance to stun. Make certain this ability achieves 100% uptime whenever possible without throwing yourself into a deadly situation. Even then it's sometimes worth it to apply Decrepify since it's so important, although we have to help in those rare moments.
Shadowblight remains the most powerful Necromancer Key Passive overall. We do deal a little bit of Shadow Damage, but it allows us to use which is a powerful multiplier, along with a few other various synergizing increases.
Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Passive Skills
These are the best Passive Skills for the Blight Golem Minions Necromancer. Passive Skills can provide some of the more powerful synergies and interactions that bring a build together.
(1/3)
- We're required to spend a point here so that we can reach the next bracket of passives.
(3/3)
- This is our main source of Corpses making it incredibly important.
(3/3)
- The damage is okay, yet the increased health is excessively more important.
(1/3)
- A little Essence never hurt anybody. One point here to go next.
(3/3)
- We love multipliers, and this one is easy to activate consistently.
(3/3)
- We're lacking sources of Damage Reduction, this gives us just that and a minor situational damage increase.
(3/3)
- Give us speed! How fast can we go? Not too fast but this helps boost our shoes a little.
(3/3)
- Another multiplier, how lovely.
(3/3)
- Life is the most important factor again, although our Mages do provide a decent bit of damage.
(1/3)
- Just one point here. If we had more points available, or if speedrunning, this would be a decent choice.
(3/3)
- Another nice multiplier to help boost our damage.
(3/3)
- Similar to the last, this gives us yet another boost to our overall damage.
(1/3)
- An extra chance to stun which helps with Bosses stagger bars.
(3/3)
- Arguably our most important passive since our Golem deals the vast majority of our damage.
(3/3)
- Increased Critical Strike Chance is incredibly valuable overall.
(3/3)
- A stronger contender for our most valuable passive, making it an easy choice to place points into.
Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Book of the Dead
Our recommended choices are ideal for our overall build, providing massive multipliers and utility through Cooldown Reduction. When combined with everything else in this build, there simply aren't any other viable substitutes without losing efficiency.

Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Gear
This setup represents the best gear for the Blight Golem Minions Necromancer. Since many of these items and Aspects are based on drops, this may take time to achieve. Alternatives are provided when applicable, but making substitutions to BiS gear can have negative consequences on performance. You will want to Imprint Legendary Aspects onto other Legendary items, since Legendaries will have 3 Affixes and Rare items only have 2.
Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Aspects and Uniques
Helm
Source
: Dropped
Masterworking Priority
: Maximum Life
Lucion offers a truly massive multiplier with a cost that doesn't affect us since we're not using Essence for anything. We're cooldown-based, rather than a spender/generator build.
Chest Armor
Masterworking Priority
: +Ranks to Golem Mastery
With so few sources of Damage Reduction available to us, Hardened Bones raises massively in overall value defensively.
Gloves
Masterworking Priority
: Attack Speed
We're gaining not only another multiplicative damage increase from this, yet it also activates . These combined are a huge damage boost, putting our build over the top.
Pants
Masterworking Priority
: Armor
This allows us to still benefit fully from and all of our chosen modifiers from the skill. Essentially, we're gaining another skill without needing to place it on our bars.
Boots
Masterworking Priority
: Movement Speed, Maximum Life
More Minions contributes to more distractions, and also a bigger boost to our overall damage as well as our utility.
Amulet
Masterworking Priority
: +Ranks to Hellbent Commander, +Ranks to Amplify Damage
We get a sizeable multiplier from this, one of our largest, making it an ideal choice for the amulet spot.
Ring
Masterworking Priority
: Attack Speed, Golems Damage
Simple enough, Reanimation gives us another multiplicative damage increase.
Ring
Masterworking Priority
: Attack Speed, Golems Damage
This is our main way to activate , thus enabling . In combination with those, Shademist deals a considerable amount of damage all on its own.
Main Hand
Masterworking Priority
: Critical Strike Damage, Maximum Life
When we use , the damage increase is very noticeable -- so noticeable and massive that it warrants placing Unyielding onto a 2-Handed weapon, especially since has been reduced in effectiveness.

Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Affixes and Tempers
In many cases, you will want to reroll at least one undesirable Item Affix from a piece of gear. This is not possible with Unique items; all Affixes are preset, and you can't even drag it into the Occultist's Enchant window.
Replacing any Affix at the Occultist will replace it with a normal Affix, not a Greater Affix.
These are among the best Item Affixes and Tempering Affixes for Blight Golem Minions Necromancer in endgame, organized by type (not all Affixes can appear on every type of gear). Remember that you can only reroll one normal Affix per item, so if you get an item with more than one undesirable or unusable Affix, you may want to reconsider using it.
We must hit 100% Attack Speed so that our is providing its full benefit. This is possible with Masterworking Criticals and Greater Affixes more importantly. This isn't the easiest or quickest way to solve the problem, so until then running instead of is an option if the user has not yet found since activates . If not, then feel free to make this switch until everything is found.
Ranks to Golem Mastery become our most important Affix to find on our gear and what we're hopeful our Masterworking Criticals will land on. Past that we're looking to gain +Ranks to Hellbent Commander and Amplify Damage since they provide huge multipliers with proper gear. The final most important factor worth mentioning is Armor. We need to hit the 9230 Armor cap, we can get this through one piece of gear typically with a single Greater Affix or Masterworking. Once we are at the cap then we can slowly begin switching to Maximum Life or Intelligence depending if the user wishes for more of a glass cannon build or something a bit more tanky.
The same goes for our Tempering options. For full damage, glass cannon - switch your Maximum Life to Intelligence, and vice-versa for more survivability. Finding a middle ground is the ideal choice although this is the user's choice at the end of the day. Both are viable, play how you like!

Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Paragon Boards
With 225 possible points (1 at 50, 200 from leveling, 20 from Renown, and 4 from Altars of Lilith), it is possible to open all 8 class boards, but most builds use 4-5. All classes begin with their Start board, and can then choose to attach one of 8 class-specific boards. The Start board is the same for all class members and cannot be changed.
The Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Paragon setup uses the following Paragon boards, Glyphs, Legendary nodes, and Rare nodes:
Start Board
Amplify gives us a sizeable Multiplier that activates from something we're constantly making sure we apply - our Curses. It also gives a small boost to our Magic nodes which is always nice.
These are all rather standard Rare nodes, providing things we need but aren't necessarily insane. Nevertheless, they're important and very cheap to reach in terms of points used.
Cult Leader
We're gaining another source of a multiplicative damage increase here, but arguably more importantly we're getting a boost to our Minions Damage Reduction. If they die... typically we're going shortly after, so death is not an option.
Cult Leader is one of our largest multipliers, making it incredibly important that we hit that 100% attack speed bonus.
These are all great for us, with Damage Reduction for our Minions being the most important by far, although the Attack Speed helps since we need a 100% bonus and gearing takes time.
Hulking Monstrosity
Our Golems Active is dealing Physical damage, so with Corporeal, we're juicing them up a bit more while getting a source of Movement Speed, something we somewhat struggle to fit. We are slow, but boy do we hit hard when we get there.
Our Golem is what makes this build a thing, so we're looking to take anything we can viably reach to power our Golem up to the fullest.
More damage and power for our golem. We also get a nice little boost to our Armor when our Golem is active... which is... always. It really takes a miracle on the enemies' part for our Golem to fall.
Flesh-eater
Since we typically are surrounded by Corpses, and we're also generally within the range to be considered 'Close', we benefit directly from this boost.
We activate this multiplier by quickly casting to consume corpses. It's easy to achieve and boosts our damage, lining us up for our burst windows.
More damage boosts here and a little bit of Resistances.
Bloodbath
Things typically aren't Healthy for very long, and we're focused pretty heavily on Critical Strikes, making Essence an instant choice for a Glyph socket.
We do not take the Legendary node on this Paragon board.
We mainly take this Rare node to reach the Dexterity on the other side, although a damage increase is never a bad thing.
Scent of Death
alone activates this Glyph. We're packed with a ton of different tools to Crowd Control enemies too, letting us benefit from one of our larger multipliers from a Glyph.
We almost always receive the Damage Reduction part from this Node. Since Damage Reduction is rare, this makes it incredibly valuable to take.
Here's another situation where we snag a Rare node for the stats to empower our Glyph, but once more the extra boost in damage is always a welcomed addition.
Bone Graft
More damage for our Golem, mainly the multiplier since we're hungry for points. Gaining extra Glyphs elsewhere instead of focusing points to fully empower this Glyph tends to perform better.
We do not take the Legendary node on this Paragon board.
Resistances helps alleviate our goal of hitting the 70% Resistance cap.

Best Blight Golem Minions Necromancer Gems and Consumables
Gems come in various qualities from Chipped to Royal. While the Gem properties do not change, the traits improve with higher quality. We only list the highest quality Gems here, but you should always socket the best Gem you can craft and equip at your level. Gems can be crafted at the Jeweler.
Best Armor Gems for Blight Golem Minions Necromancer
There really aren't many options here since Maximum Life is so easy to stack and offers so much survivability.
Best Weapon Gems for Blight Golem Minions Necromancer
We're Critical Strike focused for a decent chunk of our gearing, making Emeralds the most beneficial option.
Best Jewelry Gems for Blight Golem Minions Necromancer
Despite listing Diamonds here, this is an indicator that players will need to mess around with their gems based on what Resistances they're currently lacking or have too much of. Once we're able to fully reach the 70% Resistance cap with each element, then Skulls become the dominant option so we can focus our gearing elsewhere once we hit the 9,230 Armor cap too with affixes such as Maximum Life or Intelligence.
Jeweler Guide
Best Elixirs and Incense for Blight Golem Minions Necromancer
Elixirs offer a wide variety of effects, along with an Experience boost of up to 8%. Elixirs can be either offensive or defensive, and a few of them are so powerful that you can only get them as drops, or you must find their recipes to craft them. Incense works both in a group and solo, increasing Stats, Resistances, or defenses for 20 minutes for all nearby players. Elixirs and Incense can be crafted at the Alchemist. We recommend using any of the following Elixirs and Incense:
Elixirs
Incense
Until we're able to reach 100% Attack Speed through gearing, then one will want to use an Elixir to help boost our percentage. Otherwise, we're going to want to boost our Critical Strike stats or Maximum Life depending if one needs more damage or more survivability.
For Incenses, we're mostly going to be using exclusively for more damage, although if we're not at our 70% Resistance caps or our 9,230 Armor caps then is a good choice too. We can't kill things if we're dead.

Absolute crap. I was using this as a guide, but then OP decided to completely upend it, and change everything about it, with no way for us to view what it originally was, instead of just making a new build. !@#$ me & anyone else that was following the original build I guess, right?

I'm pretty new to D4 and I'd like to run this but with the mage variant they mentioned in the "Diablo 4 Best Endgame Builds Tier List - Best Builds for The Pit, Bosses, and Endgame - Season 4" for 1.4.3 but I'm not sure what all I need to change?

This build is not working. The interaction between the Crown of Lucion and the Aspect of the Great Feast is broken
