That's some interesting speculations. Although I am leaning towards February for the release of 7.3.5 rather than next week.
I'm still guessing that the allied races, minus the Zandalari and Dark Iron Dwarves, are going to be preorder bonuses similar to the Demon Hunters with Legion. Most people have capped characters and have no real reason to go and try out the new level scaling zones but if the allied races are a preorder bonus people would be leveling these new races, potentially, for the heritage armor sets but I could be wrong. Prepare yourselves, members of the Alliance, for the hundreds upon hundreds of Void Elves that shall be invading your cities and for you of the Horde, you get a ridiculous amount of Nightborne because elves!
I am also leaning towards Februarish, simply because other than the two mounts, there have been ZERO changes towards Call of the Scarab, no mention, nothing at all. They probably just made the new Silithid models and thought "Hey, they could be cool mounts" and made them into mounts, without really basing their release schedule around that.
I have a hard time seeing Blizz make additions for a quickly approaching event on the PTR with the intention of not releasing that content for a whole year. That just feels like them wasting resources that should have been put into more pressing content if that ends up being the case. At the same time with how close we are to when the patch would have to be it feels odd that Blizz hasn't said anything yet. I think this coming week is going to be very telling of how this is going to go down. If we don't see some kind of post or at least a release candidate build on the PTR then I think we're waiting for February. I really feel like the intention has been for a mid January release and the only reason for them pushing it out farther would be because of some issues not getting worked out in time.
Call of the Scarab is once per year, if I would be Blizzard, I wouldn't want to miss that date just by few weeks when I have plans for updating it...
7.3.5 most likely will come out in early Feb. I think Blizz would give some time to breathe after holiday season before dumping another content patch on live servers. And remember, adding / changing or removing items is a whole different thing now. They don't really need a content patch for that, they can just use "hotfix" methods to do all that.
I'm thinking the feb date as well - the PVP season is likely tied into that, and it's far too short right now, especially if there's only one more.
i always buy the physical collector's editions of the addons and i have no one who would buy a spare key from me when i preorder the digital deluxe and upgrade that with the physical CE. but i really don't want to wait the additional day it takes to get the physical CE from amazon. i also want the preorder bonus to level allied races, if that one really is tied together.so, what to do?- would amazon participate in a preorder program which lets me buy the game beforehand, tells blizzard and then activates the bonus?- would amazon send the game box a few days early, since it wouldn't matter anyway without the activation on the servers?- would blizzard somehow recognize my ambitions and make a deal with amazon to NOT shaft owners of a physical CE, especially when potentially there are allied races and a rather long leveling run for six characters involved and it would be counterproductive to receive a BfA CE AFTER the release of BfA?maybe somehow we get some clarifications on that soon. :(
I'd guess February. I don't believe there's much content left to be had in legion and they'll space out what they have left.
I think February 13th is a much more likely date, but I secretly (well not so much anymore xD) hope that we will get the patch on 16th of January or just as soon as possible. Can't wait to start leveling my toons! Got 6 characters I want to level up before BfA hits!
Unless they change the allied race requirements, I think allied races will be part of the pre-purchase, rather than part of the pre-patch. That would solve the issue of unlocking the allied races, as you would get a 110 boost (maybe with some reputation already?) ready to do the unlock requirements, and then you could create an allied race.
I'm pretty sure this week we will see a release candidate patch on the PTR and the patch is going to be live either the 16th or the 23th. The reason I don't think is going live on february is because of Ulduar TW, as the patch would release too close to the WOTLK event and many people could miss it.
It's definitely this month and all the proof you need is the fact that FFXIV's new patch comes out this month. Blizzard loves dropping patches on or a week before other MMO's drop a patch. I think there may even an ESO patch this month? Though I think FFXIV is bigger competition than them. It will be out this month.
I always go by, what ffxiv is doing to figure out when wow is gonna do their next big thing. lol they always wait for yoshi to say a date lolol
Have they really gathered enough data on the new level scaling to just release it next week?
Check the Xorothian Cultist on the broken shore to find out the release date of the new patch. they are counting down a time. They were doing it before 7.3.2. I followed the everyday. And the antorus came when the time was over. After the antorus came, there was no countdown. Now it has started again (my last check: 15 days ago). and around 700,000 seconds now (08.01.2018). this is equivalent to 8 days :)))).
