Archimtiros
Warrior obsessed streamer and speed leveler
DesMephisto
is nearly 32 hours into the 35 hours he's planned to earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records! The current record for longest marathon of World of Warcraft is
32 hour and 36 minutes
set in November 2017, though breaking the record isn't DesMephisto's only motivation - all of his streams have been charity events raising money for the
Autistic Self Advocacy Network
(ASAN).

The criteria for entry into the book of world records is rather strict - the attempt has to be streamed or recorded for accuracy, the participant is allowed a 10 minute break per hour, though those breaks can be taken cumulatively. Entries are also broken up by game; while the record for WoW is only 32 hours, the longest record for
any
game is a staggering 138 hours... which probably isn't too healthy to try to beat! DesMephisto is currently going for 35 hours total, in order to beat the WoW record by a healthy margin. Of course, any attempt will have to be verified by the Book of World Records, but DesMephisto has professed that his true goal is to continue to promote charity and awareness.
Update
: The stream has ended at 36 hours and 5 minutes, with $4,475 raised for his charity, Integrate Advisors.
