Maybe a new arthas model? maybe?
Reverting the judgement of Devos and Uther for Arthas soul, returning and eventually sending him to Revendreth to cleanse from his sins would be a hu-u-u-uge slap in the face of all who suffered because the prince had taken the cursed sword during WCIII era. Yep, the cleansing of the Stratholme would have still occurred, but there would have been no undead, no Forsaken, no Horde/Alliance-torn Lordaeron, no plague-bombed human settlements, the Alliance would have been bolstered by the living human kingdoms of the northern EK and, maybe old Terenas would still be sitting on the throne.
All of these are souls that were taken by Arthas. The Betrayed Father - King MenethilThe Blood-Queen - Lana'thel, Boss from ICC (Raised by Arthas)The Grand Magister - Belo'vir (Slain during the invasion of Quel'Thalas)The Guardian of Naxxramas - Kel'thuzzadThe Archmagus Mentor - Antonidas The Golden King - King Sunstrider (Kael's father)The Holy Lifebringer - UtherMany Forgotten Victims - All others including those taken in Stratholme
The Betrayed Father - Father of Arthas The Blood-Queen - Lana'Thel The Grand Magister - Something Something Blood Elf The Guardian of Naxxramas - Bigglesworth The Archmagus Mentor - Antonidas The Golden King - Bloodelf king The Holy Lifebringer - I remember there was a paladin with this name in W3 Many Forgotten Victims
Just how many times was Uther's souls splintered? The Afterlives Uther videos showed it being splintered in 2 fragments:- First went to shadowlands - Second stayed on Azeroth and we met it in ICC after we complete the Shadowmourne questline
The Betrayed Father - Terenas MenethilThe Blood-Queen - Lana'ThelThe Grand Magister - Belo'vir SalonarThe Guardian of Naxxramas - SapphironThe Archmagus Mentor - AntonidasThe Golden King - Anasterian SunstriderThe Holy Lifebringer - Halahk the Lifebringer (Imagine this is specifically mentioned because of the Frost DK artifact weapon questline)Many Forgotten Victims - Everyone else killed by Arthas after he picked up Frostmourne.
I dont know
I'm not posting this in an edgy or memey way, but Arthas doesnt need redemption because he didnt do anything wrong. Stratholme was 100% the correct action to take, as otherwise the undead raised in Stratholme would have overrun Lordaeron, and nothing he did after taking up Frostmourne should count, since its always been very clear that it consumed his soul.
Was going to comment on those other souls, glad to see others picked that up as well. I’m glad to take part in this story and I can’t wait to check it all out.I also completely agree with the standpoint of Redemption. Things have been jacked up for a long time but Renethal will get things back their true duty. There is a lot of corruption in who to redeem and who is cast in the maw seen in questing in Revendreth. Many are tossed into the maw just to fuel the jailer’s schemes. We will see what happens when Denathrius is set free how things will play out. A multi front attack by the jailer is most likely going to occur. The sire, I imagine will also be scheming on both forces (The covenants and the Jailer) with his Nathrezim + loyal forces.
Adrestes is the new Paragon? Oh hell yes! I already feared it would be Uther!
Just a thought, but the Guardian of Naxxramas in Warcraft III would might have been Anub'arak.
Even if Arthas were meant for Revendreth, remember that Revendreth is only a chance at redemption because there's some kernel of good in the soul. And even if they can be redeemed, it can take literal centuries. Take Kael'thas being redeemed, the Accuser makes it clear even with the progress he makes during the current plot that he has a long long redemption ahead of him.
Have they confirmed how soul judgment works yet for the Maw? Is there ever a soul that is deemed irredeemable before getting their shot? OR do ALL souls that are deemed corrupted and evil sent to Revendreth FIRST for a chance at repentance? If you think about it, souls in Revendreth have included bloodthirsty conquerors, corrupt leaders, genocidal race superiority types etc. So how bad would a soul have to be to go to the Maw directly without a mourneblade?
