Thank you for this article! I have yet to be in a pug that knows how to use the anima cages effectively.
Good information but nowhere does it say how the Anima Cage actually works lol
think yall reaching too far now with these "guides" i get you need to write stuff because its your job but whoever is forcing you to do this should focus more on quality not quantity.
Sorry to post irrelevant information on this, but I wasn't able to post on the Trevor Project page, as the comments were locked. I think Tiltify is having problems, and am not sure my donation went through. Tried to log in to Tiltify, and get stuck in a log in confirmation loop, so I can't contact them either. I want to help, but not sure what to do.
Agree with what others said. This guide fails to explain how the lanterns work. The short Twitch video clips also do not help.
This article probably just needed to link the basic Venthyr buff information in the dungeon description: https://www.cuckhead.com/guides/sanguine-depths-shadowlands-dungeon-strategy-guide#venthyr-covenant-dungeon-buff
It's not a "guide", it's a tip.The tip is fine. You people are being obtuse. If every single post had to explain every single premise being used to form a statement, then every post would reach inexcusable sizes. They didn't explain what M+ is. What about people who haven't tried M+ yet? What is a key? Where do I put the key in? Wait, I've never played WoW before, please explain what a video game is to me. What is an MMORPG?Of course we could just take this example further and further to more and more levels of ridiculous, but that's literally the point: people acting ridiculous. If you want to learn more about the Lantern there are undoubtedly guides you can search for that explain every mechanic you can imagine. Honestly, if you literally had to ask, then the tip isn't intended for you. You shouldn't be using this in a +12, literally.
Advantage of 9.1 taking so long: wowhead can finally complete backlog of articles that should have come out 6 months ago.
@StandinginFire's criticisms are completely legit. Title calls them Anima Cages, but then article calls them "lanterns" without bothering to tell the reader they are the same thing.
Of all the trash nerfs (and the Anima Cage buff) they've done to this place, they've never made the Anima Cages around Executor Tarvald's area more accessible because of the adds that $%^& on the floor every 10 seconds, or the ranged ones that don't move and don't have a threat table. Seriously, it's a strong buff, but those are borderline unusable in 90% of groups because of this.
I have never known how the anima lanterns work, and I was hoping that when I clicked on this article, that I would learn how they work alongside the intended pro-tip. It feels like this wasn't thought out very well, because I still don't know what to do.
