You guys need new class writers if this is the content they are putting out, your classic content in general is very lacking in quality (your PvP page is completely devoid of any relevant links or meaningful information).Feral and Warriors below rogues? The Arms debuff is a larger physical damage boost than imp expose and Feral brings an extremely powerful buff for your hunter group, how did you guys rate rogues above these two and on par with a boomkin or even ret?Additionally, how is shaman not S tier? Easily the most important class in TBC as you really need 1 for every group because the totems are just that powerful.
Going Blood Elf Ret Paladin this time, and my latest class was Enhance Paladin in Classic. Going from one struggle to another and I can't wait!
Yikes this is bad.
I disagree with a post like this, classes are not classified like this in TBC, a balanced comp is all it is about. Many will go think stacking hunt and lock are the key to success because of "guides" like these, TBC is all about Comp.If you stack classes they will get less gear and do barely more damage. it is better to bring a Boomkin and Spriest than a extra lock or hunt : Refer to top guild comps in TBC.With all the Hunts rolling ravager you dont even get the Screech debuff on bosses and adds, taking 10% extra raid damage, all because of guides like these. overall raid dps suffers because you have to survive more (1 hunter gets 4% extra dps)If your Kara group has a prot pala, its very important to bring a Warrior to keep Demo shout and TC on everything all the time, this is a massive 20% DR for demo shout alone. warrior also bring 1.2k extra hp for tanks. They are not "C tier" by any means. You should post good and strong comp examples for 25 and 10man instead of this, Tier classification just screws players over and misinforms them.1 warrior or 1 rogue is great, Arms is recommended because no competition for gear with rogue and enhance and strong cleave. Rogue never get aggro, and can vanish or cloak many mechanics, very strong survivability. In short :Tier classification doesnt matter because you will almost always bring 1 of every class and maybe even spec in a 25 man ideal comp. (exceptions are Pure cat dps which was not intended by the feral tree, Fury warrior because gear competition and no blood frenzy, also all the pvp specs).
Completely disagree with this post. No one cared much about a class ‘tier’ and all this will do is move whatever was in retail from class favoritism to tbc. (I.e since warrior is c tier and warlock is s tier, all people will do now is ignore taking warriors into anything). Considering that NO dps class in tbc was bad, they were all good with warlocks and hunters taking the lead in the dps spots in most fights. Nonetheless, all of them were viable with only some classes bringing more to the table in terms of debuffs, fury warriors being an example of no debuffs (aka selfish dps class) than others; warriors were top dps when armor pen gear started dropping. These posts do more harm than good towards the tbc community because all its doing is creating a divide in the player base where now people will look at tiers as a metric to evaluate a player, and generally they are lacking in knowledge.
Honestly it's probably in wowhead's favor to delete this. Fairly inaccurate.
I've been playing TBC on mutltiple private servers. I really don't get why everyone is putting warriors in such a low tier. Warriors outdps rouges and enhancement shamans by a mile in phase 1 when played correctly. Furthermore they add value to the raid with Commanding Shout, Battle Shout and Demo Shout, while rogues literally have no benefit for the group. Retripalas and Boomkins have been on the bottom of every meter on any server I've played. On what base is this tier list made?
I remember mage topping all meters in T5 content, that build with frostbold doing big crit damage, I remember watching Mar from Loot FTW doing like 5k frostbolts with some ridiculous crit chance like 45% absolutely destroying the meters, no one could keep up.
Just go read icyveins for better info, wowhead guides are pretty bad compared to those, its only a good site for wow related news.
Good god that is satisfying seeing Warriors at the bottom.
T4 is so friggin easy just bring whatever you want. lol These guides talk like it's mythic raiding.
Shadow Priest is vastly underrated. Sure if you are thinking strictly DPS throughput by the class itself it's mediocre at best. But considering how everyone is min/maxing in Vanilla Classic this will most certainly be the case in The Burning Crusade Classic. Heroic farming will be a thing and most groups will have at least three characters using mana (Hunter, Warlock and healer) and tons will be playing Protection Paladin as well so in many scenarios you might end up with a full five-man being all mana. In RAID's people will be stacking a lot of classes using mana. The mana regeneration of Shadow Priest will be extremely useful for any group and RAID that will follow the Hunter/Warlock meta, and even more useful if you toss in a Protection Paladin as the tank. Doesn't really matter that Shadow Priest is mediocre with its own DPS throughput when you are going to buff the overall burst throughput of the entire group immensely.Putting it as B-tier is pretty much only reflecting the mid-level DPS the class has by itself. Its utility, especially for meta groups in TBC is basically through the roof. The ultimate five-man group is going to be Protection Paladin, Warlock, Hunter, Shadow Priest and Restoration Shaman. You might consider replacing the Hunter for a Mage if you are focusing more on AoE.Another reason for choosing Shadow Priest as your class is how the class is underrepresented as is and will most likely be even more so in The Burning Crusade Classic as so many players are focusing on Warlock and Hunters as they are great for solo farming and S-tier DPS.
