Well that is both nice and very annoying. Its nice that they are making professions mean something again and annoying since my hunter isnt a skinner. I doubt non hunter skinners would take the bait talents too
This is great, but sounds like a lot of RNG on top of a lot of RNG.A little specificity from Blizz for specific types of creatures in specific places would have been useful - even if it is a map or "journal of rumoured beasts" - available from the grand hunt quartermaster at higher renown levels tied to skinning skill gating.
This is cool. Wish it had a bit more to it like specific locations or terrain types. Maybe it does and we just haven't figured it out yet, Or maybe it's one of those things that got pushed back to a future patch, Cause it's kinda weird there's so much assets in this but it's just a simple RNG system with no way to influence it.
So I need to unlearn either engineering or mining on my hunter, then learn skinning and level that up just to get the pet appearance that I want...-Then unlearn it and level up mining or engineering again?...-Blizzard's incompetence never ceases to amaze me.
I didn't think there much purpose for Bait Crafting. It's good to see me proven wrong. Bonus points since only a few are locked behind a rep grind.
In before 2 x 4 elusive pet taming groups...
Took this as a skinner because I thought it meant getting more/better quality skins from the kills, but at 10 maybe meat per with no real difference (that I see) in skin drop, it's not worth it unless you're a hunter looking for rare color pets.
When the game was new, the idea that my hunter could kill, skin, and craft his own gear was the reason I started playing it. Recently being able to make bows and mounts with LW instead of Engineering really felt cool. And this is going to be even better.
Tried taming an Elusive Rockfang from the trap today, received the message "you cannot tame this creature". Had my pets dismissed, thre was room in the stable, I am level 70 and am 100 in skinning (but not far in to Bait). Hopefully they didn't create a problem with the last hot fix (or decide we shouldn't be taming these).
