Got hit myself, totally deserved. I got a 2 day ban (seems to be the minimum amount) for levelling a monk from 16 to 30-something and using about a dozen or so potions.Oops. :p
Why the players have to pay for the Blizzard's mistake? They should thank the players that they have found that bug. They introduced a bug in their product that is on a live environment, as long that exploit is available is not the player's mistake, he did not introduced that bug.
I can understand harsh punishment for things that give you a competetive advantage like exploits in raids/m+ but I can't relate why they do the same for leveling. Those players didn't hurt anyone
@%$@ yea, ban the players that benefited from Blizzard being inept at game development. To top it off, its to bypass their absolute horrid, outdated leveling chore.
Good.
Good thing I only bought the potions and sent them to my Druid.
I also got 2days ban. Ok, Great time to superclean house, do some family-tings, care of myself etc. Thanks bliz for carrying!
Ban ppl who abused potion bug.... HOW ABOUT BAN PPL WHO ABUSED CAULDRON BUG, those ppl abused it for days unlike leveling bug
"iF iTs IN tHE GAme WhY shOUlDNt i AbUSe IT?"Gods this argument is tired. If you suddenly glitched the matrix, noclipped through a wall to take money out of a bank, would you then be surprised when you're landed in jail for theft? You broke the Terms of Use that you literally signed to even start playing the game. Get over yourself and quit following this "exploit early exploit often" mentality, because then ya'll throw temper tantrums when Blizzard actually punishes you.
Focusing on the real issues plaguing this game! Who needs to worry about people breaking raid boss mechanics or bot problems when you can ban players who aren't paying for your level boosting service?
30-day ban for not having to pay $60 for a boost? Fair trade.
I hope they banned the guy who posted a youtube (I don't remember his name) video on how to exploit it too. He has lots of subs and views on that video so maybe they noticed him.
My favorite part is reading all of the comments desperately trying to rationalize their intentional abuse of an exploit as Blizzard's fault. The cognitive dissonance is real.
I didn't get tagged. But leveling in WoW is so #$%^ing awful and time consuming for no reason. I've seen this content at least 8 times. I don't want to do it again. Its not like its just free either. You spent time grinding out the medals. Whatever. People jumped on this because leveling is so painful.
