HUGE body, tiny head. They may be dumb as a pile of rocks, but those new Earth Elementals look absurdly good.
God, yes, I doubt it'll happen but I LOVE the Caverns of Time.Getting a dungeon each expansion was great, I wish they'd continue. Relatively simply side-content, surely?
Make their heads a little bigger. The size looks too comical. The rest of the model is amazing. Just make the head a bit bigger is all
Strange to do new models just for a minor vision. That'd be like giving Khadgar a new model back in WoD and he dies 5 minutes after going through the Dark Portal. Would be stupid to have spent the time to give him a new model if you see him for maybe 20 minutes. So more than likely Uther has to be playing a larger role as might Rhonin despite both being dead. It has to be more than just flashbacks. Then again, Rhonin's pretty much a stock human with some tweaks. Nothing major done for him and his armor will likely be available to players in some capacity (robe version more likely than the shirt) although not likely that color variation. Uther, on the other hand ... That's a lot of work for a guy that might be around for 5 minutes. Either that or that's a hint at a paladin tier set since both Tirion and Liandrin wear existing paladin tier sets although I think Tirion had a unique color scheme .. except there's no tier in BfA so screws that idea.Does seem they're setting up for a Return to Northrend expansion, though, if they're going to potentially do more with Arthas, Uther, Bolvar, etc. Bringing in Bolvar's daughter in BfA only hints at a Northrend return sooner rather than later. His daughter will likely be the connection between BfA and the next expansion which could very well lead into a semi-redemption arc for Arthas and final closure for Jaina likely ending her current story arc as well as Sylvanas's ... barring she survives BfA. The whole Lightbound thing with the Mag'har orcs and draenei will likely be a trailing thread we'll see teased in BfA and the next expansion after that before they finally do more with it which is likely whenever we get the Void Lords.A WotLK 2.0 is looking more and more likely after BfA. Blizzard keeps updating rather strange things that aren't related to BfA like the ghouls, abominations, etc and now Uther and his memorial? Blizzard did the same thing with WoD by updating many demons before Legion came out. Begs the question if Bolvar's going to see an updated model soon or even Arthas pre-Lich King. Also makes you wonder if the next expansion is a lot further along than we think if they're doing little things that don't seem to be related to BfA directly. Considering Blizzard doesn't seem to want to talk about how many raid tiers BfA has, I can't help but wonder if they think it'll go down the same road as WoD and they'll have to cut it short so are working hard on the next expansion to get it out fast if BfA flops.
finally after so many years good looking earth elementals ... and as for Ronin, Uther and Arthas, i think they will play some roles in BFA otherwise there would be no point in updating their armor sets :D ... hopefully they'll get a new model aswell :D but let me dream xD
tbh, playing BfA feels like utter boring pile of ash, compared to Legion. I've been in beta stages for both of them, and comparing both of them at the beta stage, first time in my life, I'm not so excited for an upcoming expansion... You don't really know what you're up against, it doesn't get you excited as much, and quite frankly, after defeating legion, there are a lot of possibilities in the cosmos now we can discover, a lot of threats that we can face, and yet, here we are, digging for n'zoth, trying to find old god influence from that we've already killed, which makes me feel like this is another WoD;a brief doorway expansion for what is next, with systems and visual upgrades.Maybe they push some beautiful lore, so I can get excited about the game I'm going to play, but I don't know if it will be the same.
It's not "new models" though. It's a regular model, with different armor. It takes ten minutes or so to do, even less if you know what armor you're giving the character from the get go. Give me five minutes on the Wow Model Viewer and I'll do the exact same.Nice new elemental models though.
Of all the elementals they could have done work on... Water Elementals have looked like fringed jello for over a decade.
Caverns of Time is only a thing because of the infinite flight which was stopped with End Time dungeons. So unless some other threat comes to the timeways then there's not more CoT.
I don't like how they made the elemental's chest look.
Uther looks like he is a day away from selling his armor for booze... Uther the Homeless Drunk seems like a more suitable title for that appearance :P
