At today's meeting announcing the news, Bungie staff cheered loudly. Can't over-emphasize how happy they are not just to get away from Activision, but to have a game that they now own completely. Imagine a Destiny free from Activision's restrictive annualized schedule!— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) January 10, 2019

oh.. oh my
So does that mean, if I got the game for free, I don't have it anymore?
LOOOOOOOOL
Am I the only one hoping that Blizzard does the same and goes back to being a company for making great games that the consumer wants rather than everything being an activision money-grab?
the fun continues
Now do this with Blizz/WoW.Thanks
Mabye they'll give back World of Warcraft too, we can but hope.
YES Edit: no
So what does that mean for those of us who own destiny 2 on battle.net?Or does this only affect future destiny games?Edit: looks like the post has been updated with a tweet that answers tht question.
Well, I don't blame anyone abandoning the ship at this time. You reap what you sow ACTIVISION.
"Destiny 2 will still receive full support on BattleNet and we do not anticipate any disruption to our services or your gameplay experience."everything should remain the same.It will probably just take action on the future games.
Downhill from here, oh no been that since BFA!
Blizzard needs to leave Activision. There are probably a lot of contracts in the way of that but seriously, I feel like Activision is at an end. This is just...crazy news.
Yikes. This is a huge risk to undertake. I see people cheering but uh, I'd be worried, lol.
Sounds like they try to get rid of flops which doesn't bring in enough money.
As far as I know wasn't this part of the deal from the start? Bungie does 2 Destiny games for activision and can keep the IP afterwards
Are they taking HotS too?
Good! "Get off my la...uncher!"
