This month we will be featuring:

Hey, I'm Frenone (or Fren), a digital artist / illustrator from The Netherlands. You might not immediately recognize my work, as it's pretty diverse and I use many different styles.

I started playing World of Warcraft with my boyfriend (now husband) during WotLK. While I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, it wasn’t until 2014 that I started drawing digitally and creating my first bits of fanart, inspired by Tamplier’s speedpaintings and various artist-streams on Twitch.

That same year we attended Blizzcon for the first time. I created laminated badge portraits for myself, my boyfriend and a fellow guildmember. After sharing the art on Twitter, more people started requesting badge portraits of their characters. The following year, along with a couple other artists, we started a small artist community called BadgeBabes. That was kind of the turning point for me, where art became more than a hobby.

I am currently working full-time as an independent illustrator. Most of my work can be found on Twitter and Patreon.
