Reforged is a pathetic, miserable release. Absolutely shameful.
Gutted, just like BfA.
So, a couple of things that will be coming shortly, things that were announced ahead of time that they would be removed, and... chat isn't IRC based anymore? That's it?Sounds more like people weren't paying attention during the development cycle, than anything else. Oh well, I'm still having a blast with campaign, pvp, and custom games.
You forgot to mention an option to switch from original voice over to the reforged one. In some languages, some voices are completely different, aswell as their voice lines. It was said that we should be able to choose between old and new (at BlizzCon if I remember correctly but I'm not sure). It's not a very big deal, but it's something.
It honestly just makes me less excited for Blizzcons in general. Nothing said in those events can be taken for face value. Everything is subject to change, regardless of the amount of pre-orders they sell. It's deceitful to a point. Even if it is marketing's fault and upper management for trying to push unrealistic deadlines for sales numbers. It makes me really worry about Shadowlands and the ideas and promises they made. How much will get cut? Will it be WoD levels of cut content? Who knows...
And now we wait for blizzard apologizers to rear their ugly heads.
Next time they make a reforged/remastered/warforged/titanforged/RNG'd version of a classic gamethey're gonna have to preface the announcement with a 20 meter tall billboard that reads "NONE OF THIS IS FINAL AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. NO PONY!"
One cut content I am salty about is the campaign overhaul to match the Chronicles and WoW lore. And for that I entirely blame the "Reee, you gonna ruin it" nostalgia idiot community.
There are good reasons to complain about reforged very good reasonsbut i have no idea where you ppl got the information that there will be additional campainsblizzard never promised that for the release they stated that if reforge would be a success then it would be an option to make a new addon but nothing more so please guys complain about reforged because it abviously needs more patches to fix this but compain that there are no new campains pls stop embarrassing yourself with that crap
What bothers me even more is that the new models were out-sourced to a malaysian studio, LemonSky.IMHO, through the past 20 years, I've come to love Blizzard for their artists, for the musics, the 3D models, the textures. If they start out-sourcing that... let's just say what's left isn't the best part of Blizzard.Point is, when you look at Warcraft 3 Reforged, something should be obvious to you : the units/heroes models are clashing hard with the terrain, they don't fit together, there's a HUGE difference in style, which was NOT a problem in original WC3. They decided to go the 'semi-realistic' approach with the models and didn't consider that the terrain would suddenly have to become 'semi-realistic' too. The result looks like a fan-made mod, it lacks the Blizzard-polish.Consider this : Heroes of the Storm looks more like what Warcraft 3 Reforged (or Warcraft 4) should've been. Go ahead, compare the two togetherand I DARE YOU to tell me the WC3R models blend better in their game than the HotS models do in their game. Now I see that one scrub above who's like "myeh, looks like you guys didn't read the advertisements, myeh!". Yeah, right. If that was the ONLY issue.I've booted the game, played the prologue with Thrall. Second mission, went into the options to see if I could tweak things to increase the quality (it was actually already to max). While in the options, I got a black screen and it transitioned to a defeat screen. Yup. Lost the tutorial because I went in the options.I've never seen that level of incompetence in a Blizzard game before. Nah but "the game's fine, really"!Haven't booted the game since. I'll wait for this pile of fiery garbage to be out of beta, because it clearly isn't, despite what we've been told.I actually wanted to make WC3R maps, scenarios, campaigns. I can't even make a bloody campaign anymore! And Blizzard now tells me that everything I'd make in WC3R's world-editor, they could claim as their own, and strip me of any rights to it if they feel like it?Yeah, I'll take my business elsewhere, thank you very much. I hear the Unreal Engine 4 is nice this time of year. The likely truth is, they were pressured by the money-bags / shareholders from Activision-Blizzard to release as soon as possible, and they did. They shouldn't have. The reason Blizzard got a name for themselves was because they used to be all about "it's done when it's done", which led to "Blizzard polish".They're now too big too keep this mantra, and that'll be their downfall.
The problem is not the game, but the players.
Im curious why they have such poor releases as of late, and if activision is truly to blame - or if its the lack of people passionate about the company. Compare blizzard to cdproject red. Postponed the release of a major title, stating they want to deliver a complete product. Blizz postponed the release of WCIII and still shipped hot garbage... With no comments concerning the extra time, as far as im aware.
Image making such a fuss about these few changes. Literally just people jumping on the hate-bandwagon because it is cool. So pathetic.
