I hope they are going to maybe raise some kind of "void-city" in that rift. Otherwise it would feel quite unfair that the Horde gets both Silvermoon and the Nighthold.
So the Alliance get Dreadscar Rift 2.0 and Exodar Mini while the Horde get Suramar and Thunder Totem? What a joke, we had better get Shadowforge City and Gilneas.
This makes it even more confusing lore-wise. "Anyone who treats with the Void is a danger to the Sunwell!" So does that simply mean that Blood Elf priests never use the Sunwell whatsoever and simply pull ALL of their power from the Void, and why can't Void Elves simply do that, or do they and there's just this slight chance that the Void could corrupt the well. Again, left with the same Shadow Priest ordeal. I really hope there's more to it.
Maybe we can remodel Undercity for our Void Happy Elven friends im thinking Naggarond-esque from the warhammer fantasy. universe. Dark Spires, Black Towers, Void Magic,
Blood elves were desperate after the Sunwell was destroyed and fed on other forms of magic to feed their addiction. Most used arcane sources to feed their addictions such as mana wyrms. Some dabbled in fel magic. Many such as Farstriders and priests did not but simply being in close proximity to those who did gave them green eyes as well.Either way blood elves were able to master the destructive magic they wielded, they did not fall prey to it. After the restoration of the Sunwell blood elf society has been slowly moving back towards having a more harmonious relationship with the light and presumably do not tolerate dabbling in dangerous magic like they once did. However those who dabble in fel have control and mastery over their powers and it has never threatened the Sunwell. The same cannot be said for the void elves who was delving to deep into the void and nearly succumbed to it. These powers unlike those of fel threaten the Sunwell itself, a font of holy energy and the blood elves way of life. Also the traitor Dar'khan Drathir whose actions helped Arthas destroy the Sunwell dabbled in that same magic. The blood elves were justified in banishing them for the safety of their people and the Sunwell. However, though they lost control and was a danger to everyone around them the void elves have good intentions and wish to use their powers to defend life. Them being saved and using their magic for the good of azeroth will be valuable down the line in the fight against the void and other threats. Learning to control their powers without falling prey to the void will be useful in the battles ahead.Although I'm still a little sketchy about them as a race and their numbers which i think aren't big enough to qualify as a race, I'm keeping my mind open. I have a potential to like them and maybe they will grow on me. So far their backstory not to bad.
Makes a lot of sense. Didn't we get that cube of the void in Mists of Pandaria? All sin'dorei are taught to pull from the Light of the Sunwell, just as they used to pull from mana and then fel energies. It's pure, it's redemption. In Broken Shore scenario, it's their place to be holy guardians that enchant your weapons with the Light. As a people they're no longer the mana addicted snobs they were. The purity of the well has changed them, even every day citizens.Except when Aleeria hits the Sunwell it begins to turn it into some Void gateway. The way this guy talks, I suspect eventually we'll see another march on the Sunwell in an attempt to bring Void Lords here, or whatever physical manifestations they can have.I knew it didn't make sense for Slyvanas to exile elves for practicing shadow. It wasn't her call. These aren't simply shadow priests drawing from a source. These are more like a paladin version of the void, taking over their bodies.Very cool story.
DAMN IT ALL! Perc, why won't King Anduin throw a fit! He doesn't want the Void Elves!
The Nightwell wasn't a source of Light that could be corrupted. The Nightwell is created by one of the pillars of creation and sustained by leyline energies. It creates things.Think like on Star Trek and The Orville, where they can replicate food and stuff, to a degree. So they used this well to basically bring themselves nourhishment since they couldn't feed an entire walled in nation for 10,000 years. That's what changed them. 10,000 years of drinking mana to survive. It's just a different type of energy, but imagine if they used this Nightwell not for sustenance but power. Making weapons, etc. That's why it was destroyed. The Sunwell taps into the raw energies of The Light, as well as waters from the Well of Eternity (Azeroth's blood). The Light and Void are inverted/opposites. It's why Naaru have cycles of light and dark. So what's made of light could be converted and vice versa, potentially.Feeding off the Nightwell was similar to feeding off fel magic. It was too strong and had severe consequences (whithering). Feeding off the Sunwell just blesses you with Light, and it's not your only source of nourishment either.TL;DRNightwell was a font of arcane power used to create food for the most part. The sunwell is much stronger and is a font of Light energy with remnants of the well of eternity.
Based on the skybox of the screenshot, it looks like it might be that second planet when you look outside of the Antorus version of the Vindicaar.

Raw, neutral power. You can see it this way: Light = 1 (positive), Void = -1 (negative), Arcane = 0 (neutral) Light x Void = 1 x -1 = -1 (Void corrupted)Arcane x Void = 0 x -1 = 0 (Arcane)Kinda like this if you want to, idk. Maybe this theory is altogether wrong but hey.
