Banger of an expac? It’s cool to like DF; it's his opinion. It just feels like another thing to justify the bare minimum of content. And that’s even though I do my best to not blaze through content. Maybe if the starting price was better…On another note, I can see why Blizzard wouldn’t want their customers spending thousands of dollars on pixels. However, saying it’s for free doesn’t feel right. Unless you’re going to use gift cards, that’s two subscriptions even during a time when people are struggling to afford essentials. (I suppose if you make enough money, you can convince yourself that’s not happening, though.) One last thing: I was overjoyed that the Magenta Cloud Serpent was added. Then again, I suppose Taliesen thinks the writers needs to cook up this awkward story about the color was suddenly found. Oh, and I’m still mount collecting so, I’d probably raise an eyebrow at the thought of passing up one just for being a recolor.
This might be the best expansion they've ever made and the cadence has meant that I've never run out of things to do. If I were a person who didn't enjoy the game at this point, I'd just move on to a different game. :p
DF for me is way better than SL. SL (and BFA somwehat) there were all these "you need to do X a week to keep up with the rest of the playerbase" DF doesnt have that, you can just log in, do an M+, WQs, raid, som races, whatever, and still have time to play other stuff. Also this 3rd Evoker spec stuff is getting old. Like one amazing Wowhead comment I saw said, 'You're smoking crack if you think theyre adding a spec mid expansion'
The scarf bit.... lol exactly
As if they couldn't let DF just stand as the best expansion in years, they also had to make a move that ruins the fun for a lot of people and put out TCG stuff for free, ruining their value in an utter and irreversible way. As fun as genuine DF content is, as disheartening is a decision like this - one that is clearly not made by people who love, develop and play the game themselves, but my characterless, sales-driven suits who only care for numbers and money.
