Completely ruined mine class. Poor subtlety.
I dont know about others but It now feels dull to me without Bite and DFA abilities...They removed all 2 coolest abilities that were giving a little bit of diversity and satisfaction to the spec outside of the basic spammable cds.In return they added "secret techniques" that does not even have its own animation, its basically an eviscerate with shadows from the former legendary trait...I am dissapointed.Definitely not gonna play sub in BFA unless it's completely broken.
I think same.
Arent all daggers supposed to have main stat?It changes from intel to agi...If so we can trade with priest, mage, lock, druid, right?
I miss catlike reflexes. Whole reason I played sub was for that ability.
I got in the habit of dive bombing into battle off my flying mount... Almost died twice now from fall damage, whoops! The spec feels so slow and boring at the moment. I know it will probably get better with azurite traits and such, but for now I will probably give outlaw another go.
Been playing sub since WotLK, Secret Technique is the new thing now, it seams better then Crimson Tempest was for AoE, i wasn't a fan of Death from Above because it makes you loose control of the character. It wasn't as bad as Shadowstrike at the start of Legion which killed me a lot of times in raids, like at Trilliax. I also don't like Marked for Death because it's to specific and i can't just use ist whit other cds, so im not going to use it. But a bunch of more AoE is always welcome cause sub sucked at it for a long time.
Subtlety forever.Rogue life forever .
at least 1 spec have problem how about shaman all spec even healer :D all ..... cant say the word worth shaman even play in this 6 years :|
I hate that I have to believe in gravity again but the spec feels fine
Spec is ruined. There are severe energy issues. It has great burst for the first couple of mins but it falls behind. We shouldn't have to talent into more passive energy. Unless you pvp with it, the pve part overall is falling behind the other two specs.
I am going to really miss the DFA combo, it was the most fun I had as sub since Cata Sub.
i think the changes make the spec feel pretty clunky and the energy regeneration is very very poor, i really dislike the new sub... its sad
I definitely feel that Nightblade duration should be increased. Missing Bite means that there are more 'downtime' windows where you are energy starved, waiting for cooldowns of Symbols and Dances and are stuggling to keep Nightblade on (hard to fit in a single Eviscerate). The spec is also very reliant on mastery, where as other specs are more flexible with their stats. If haste scaled better with energy regen, that would be great.I'm affraid I'll be stuck with Outlaw (or Assassination) until I get decent gear and some of these issues are addressed.
I really wanted the offhand sword (slow) weapon mechanic to come back into play. I didn't like the artifact railroading us into dual daggers.
The thing I will miss the most is catlike reflexes. Immunity to fall damage was amazing.
I didn't play my rogue during legion, but from playing against them I can say that sub rogues were definitely broken OP in pvp.I've been playing on my rogue recently and I can feel the effects of the nerfs to the spec even without having experienced it at its peak. I don't think the sub spec was entirely...eviscerated...but you are being sorta pigeon-holed into a specific set of talent choices to make the spec not seem clunky. This is the build I'm using now:http://www.cuckhead.com/talent-calc/rogue/subtlety/cNyz/Zwq/_QF/Z_Y/ZfyI've tried a lot of combos and this one is not necessarily the max damage, but it does have the best blend of damage + resource uptime.15 - Find Weakness is a no-brainer, as Shadowstrike (not backstab/gloomblade) should be your main dmg source.30 - Subterfuge works well for assassination, but I prefer the damage boost of nightstalker here. If Vigor talent did not exist, I'd probably go with Shadow Focus as sub's energy regen is a bit slow.45 - Vigor is a must. Energy regen on sub is bad, and it's smarter to choose Vigor here and Nightstalker on the 30 tier, than it is to choose either of the other two talents with shadow focus. Dmg is better this way, and you'll have energy to use your abilities.60 - Soothing darkness is great for pve, and decent in pvp. Cheat death is a 6 min CD which limits it to only really making sense if you're doing arena with a healer, and Feint now has a 15 sec CD so the value of elusiveness is dubious. 5 sec of 30% dmg reduction only softens 2 GCDs worth of incoming dmg.75 - Prey on the weak is OK. Shot in the Dark is nice for conserving energy, but it's really a toss-up between those two, and it's more of a pvp decision than pve.90 - I use enveloping shadows because it results in vastly better shadow dance uptime. If max burst is your aim, dark shadows may be a consideration. With ES I can "keep going" and always have at least one charge of shadow dance off CD. With DS you feel "locked out" of damage once your burn your 2 SD charges.100 - Master of Shadows works the best here. Secret Tech seems cool but it's really not much stronger than eviscerate and costs a lot more energy. Shuriken Tornado would be a great combo point builder but its 60 energy cost means you probably wont have enough juice to follow up with 4 back-to-back eviscerates unless symbols of death is off CD and you use it at the right time.
Didn't feel too bad when I messed around on Beta a while back but I must admit I am very disheartened by the loss of DfA (also Catlike Reflexes... about as bummed for that as when they took away Burst Of Speed).DfA was one of the most enjoyable talents for me in Legion (and even prior to Artifacts). I think the main thing that felt off for me in the Beta (and now on live) is simply not having that ability (amongst others) and not being able to prep myself via lining up buffs and CDs to make the most of the take-off and finish. There was much more depth to the spec (duh, as with all specs) with Artifacts and I think of all the specs I've played around with thus far, Sub to me seems to feel the loss more-so than others (I'd mention Prot Warriors, but............ I still can't wrap my head around 90% of those changes yet...).And it's slow.SOOO slow.I thought we (they; us all) had established months ago that pooling energy was/is NOT fun. AT ALL.ZERO FLAVOR. ZERO COOL™."Oh... yes, yes... I see I wounded you well and good, there, Sir, but.. well, if you'll excuse me for a moment--Do you have the time? Is it 7:30? Or 7:31? 7:34 YOU SAY! Well I'll be, I think I might have finally regained the energy to put you out of your misery! Sorry for the delay!"Alas, I cannot abandon my beeb, so I shall press on, but I'm sincerely hoping changes will be made--swiftly--and NOT just via Azerite Traits because that's exactly like giving us !@#$ing Artifacts and then completely ABOLISHING everything that worked for the class/spec come the next expansion. Again.
