By the RNG gods a top tier player who is excited for removing master loot? Insanity...He's right though. It sucks knowing that 100% you will be gearing up last. Good perspective!
Weekly affixes....are not that great. Some affixes are terrible in lower keys, like bursting, some in higher keys. Some weeks are easier than others, how does that make any sense? We need a better system than that...
Shows how much of a scrub I am that most guilds I joined ended up using some form of master looter where the healers and tanks were geared first.
I am still somewhat horffied from the whole concept of enforced personal even in guild runs. Someone unlucky may aswell never see the item drop they need through the raid tier. In my old guild we used to clear EN heroic on personal loot and I have -never- acquired the chest from Nythendra despite of weekly clears and rerolls. Even in Antorus on personal loot it is common to get just 2-3 items per entire clear that are often ill-suited for my spec and the idea of potentially entire weeks of clearing wasted ain't nice since the items might be your highest ilvl, yet absolutely worthless for the class/spec and thus unable to trade them away.
Yup, seen guilds who gear tanks > healers > dps. You can have a wild guess that most of these guilds have GL / RL or officers who are tanks / healers. Their argument can also be, because its quicker to gear fewer roles first and also if tanks cant stay up, its a wipe.Depends on the skill levels of the whole team, I can see how it can work either way.
....Im constantly buffled at how much Blizzard is trying to push the most retarded desicion they've ever made. Complaining that a world first mythic guild prioritizes certain people to gear first is like complaining the boss died. This feels like such an obvious sellout I cant even take it seriously. I cannot imagine a person in a guild like method not understanding why priority in loot is a thing. And again, I have to restate. fine you want your Personal go make a guild and use it. Do not deprive me of the choice to use what I want for my own guild.
This is an awesome write up.Thank you for this! Also, please stop putting BFA spoilers on the front page :( . I come here to lookup items, lookup guides, check affixes, etc.... I really don't want to be spoiled by the front page. I know you want clicks and feel you have to click bait to get them but please reconsider and consider adding a BFA landing page for those that want it.Thanks for the great site!
Both personal and master loot are trash ways to deal with giving loot. One is RNG based and the other means someone else decides if you get anything at all.And about the affixes.. Tyrannical is BS affix that needs to go or get nerfed. As you said jb it basically is a week where no one wants to or able to do high keys. There is enough class and racial imbalance as is in M+, we don't need there to be affixes that make it even harder.
Don't take this guy's word on Master Loot that seriously. He's in the Method's Mythic+ team, not the raiding team. Look at the server he's in: Turalyon, Method raids in Tarren Mill across the pond.
I really love these! They're very helpful for casual M+ players like me. Although, I would've loved that "push week" advice at the beginning of the past week, not when tyrannical week is on.
Soooo he wants Master Loot removed because he is tired as a healer (his choice) that he is geared last ... soooo... basically he is happy for the very selfish reason being that he'll get gear tossed on him instead of the gear being distributed where it's needed for the good of the raid team. If you have an issue with gear being distributed in such a clinical fashion then why sign up for a team that is trying to run M+? That's just the nature of "high end" raiding. If you just want the best gear fastest and don't want to be with a group that is trying to maximize their efficacy then maybe you are in the wrong environment.
I learn something new every week from these guides. Great work!
