The skip makes a lot of sense for Mythic raiders who want to pick up 246 gear from KT/Sylvanas. A lot of gear from KT and Sylvanas on Heroic will be BIS for Mythic Raiders who won't hit CE (which is a lot of players). The legendary bow and the strength trinket come to mind as being BIS even if they're 6 ilvls below Mythic loot. The Rogue dagger might still be BIS, it depends on the tuning for the equipped effect. The 246 set items are also a great way to keep your set bonus without having to resort to 239 ilvl loot.
I would say that having one skip is fine if there isnt any bosses you have to go through to activate the skip, like Shriekwing in CN. Also skipping to what boss matters id say, if you are wanting the higher ilvl loot from the last 2 bosses.

Personally, I think the Antorus skips really helped make the place into one of my favorites raids. Between the 2 skips and the choice of which early bosses to do, there were only 3 bosses that actually required killing another boss first (Kin'Garoth, Aggramar, and Argus). While my guild was still progressing normal, I went through heroic on my own and had the skips unlocked by the time we had moved into heroic as a guild. It was extremely fun to be able to chose which bosses would be easiest for us or would be progress-able if we were missing a raider or two that night. On the other hand, Nathria was terrible for its lack of meaningful skips. We spent more weeks progressing on Sludgefist than on SD, so the skip was barely used during prog. I also hated that so many of the bosses were required and in a certain order. Having to do Xymox and Council for weeks after the gear had become irrelevant was a huge waste of time. That being said, it would also have helped if that wing didn't have insane amounts of trash.I hope they include an additional skip or anything that will help raiders have a bit more control over which bosses get done in what order. That is one part of the new raid I have been concerned about for awhile, since it seems to be almost entirely linear.
Skips mean it will be so much easier to farm the mount four years from now!
Skips are good. And it was a genuine crime that blizz removed them from bfa raids. I’m a bit of a fan of having to kill at least the first boss in the raid before using the skip.Ideal skips that should have existed:Uldir: skip to mythrax after killing him 4 times. Have to require killing taloc and then mother goes friendly with zul instantly falling into the abyss.BoD: what we got later in 8.3 with a jaina skip, but needing to down blockade 4 times, and at least kill the first boss.Eternal palace (good lord I hated ever having to full clear this, and thank goodness for the underwater skip to zaqul): kill za’qul 4 times and have a skip to that boss after downing sivara.
I'd say 1 skip's fine, but if the place does take freaking long to complete/run around, then by all means give us 2.While on the subject, they should add some for old raids as well, especially those for mount collectors!
I prefer non-linear raid design in general, like Firelands was until Baleroc/Domo/Rag, so skips are a decent middle ground. I'd still prefer them to be non-linear for progression.
