Thanks, swapped them.
You don't actually need pet treats, with just the hat 1-25 is 2 fights.
Is this US servers? On my EU server there is neither Squirt or Pet event.Oh, at BTW - Squirt is great for powerlevelling your char, as she gives more XP than the others and do not use your rested XP.
The undead pet from the Day of The Dead event probably deserves special mention Macabre Marionette, he's undead so he takes reduced damage from Dragonkin, but his primary attack is humanoid, which deals extra damage to dragonkin, giving him a type resistance for defense and a type advantage for attack, pretty good at killing dragons
To be fair, this is a very simplistic listing of certain family/ability combinations; but doesn't take into account whether the abilities are actually meaningful or not.For example, Dream Whelpling does have Toxic Skin which is an Aquatic move, but the damage it deals isn't Aquatic - but typeless. For this reason, the point of having an Aquatic ability (which you'd ideally use against Elemental) is moot. It's still the only Dragonkin with that ability (so possible situational value) but the Dragonkin+Aquatic niche is still deserted.Same with Pierre it has Critter abilities (Stench, Food Coma), but they are non-damaging, making their type completely irrelevant, and ruling it out as a Mechanical+Critter pet.On the topic of Dragonkin ability listings. Spiked Skin is a bit of a stretch since it's not really a reliable damage move in terms of killing off Magic pets (although still valuable for other reasons), but Starfall is very much unusable due to awful damage and cooldown. So while Stardust and Celestial Calf "have" Dragonkin abilities, they will perform terribly when it comes to countering other Magic pets.We also have Chop counted as a Mechanical ability but its Mechanical-type damage is very low, with the rest loaded into the Beast type. This makes Boneshard a fairly ineffective Undead+Mechanical pet, whereas Blightbreath suits that task much better with Toxic Smoke. And then we have the abilities with really long cooldowns, like Call Lightning and Sandstorm. Certainly, they can deal the listed type of damage, but don't change the "main" damage type of the pets that use it (as they will have to resort to other filler damage moves in the meantime). An edge case to illustrate this is Crow - sometimes considered effective vs. Dragonkin due to Call Darkness - totally disregarding the fact that the rest of its damage will be Flying and thus weak against them, falling behind other Flying pets that may have been ruled out due to not having an Humanoid ability. In short, many of these niche family+ability combinations aren't really that remarkable, and would fail to make a difference in the likes of the Celestial Tournament or Family Familiar; so I'd advice against following it to heart.
We actually have no idea how the pet dungeons will go - it's possible it will say things like "Use a Mechcanical pet with Critter abilities to defeat this fight" - in that case, they wouldn't need to be damaging abilities. The point was to highlight near unique combinations, and it's just for fun. Feel free to suggest other pets you think people should level :)
Why is Squirt so special? I never understood that part.
HUGE xp output because she's a trainer + pet battle bonus week = pet from 1-25 in 2 battles.
So, the weebom strat is semi-revived with a DIFFERENT pet in 7.1 --- just use Boneshard in place of Weebom. Sweep > carry > Boneshard 2/2/2 cast all 3 Bonestorms (Boneshard dies) > swap back to Broom, wind up > wind up > batter to finish them off. It's SO EASY.Happy battling!
Nothing will beat Murkalot's ability..
It's US only. For EU, Squirt is up the day after the Pet Battle Bonus Event concludes. So EU players who want to level pets get royally shafted by the different schedules (since this is the second pet battle event in a row that US get Squirt but EU don't).
So, what good ways are there for us EU Players, to get use out of this pet battle bonus event? Any other good fights, except Squirt?
