First time trying pvp pet battles anyone know which pets are usually best for pvp?
We have some suggestions in our new PvP Pet Guide! Graves is pretty OP.
better add to the charts the current player status in it...
From the post:
I know this don't have to do with pet battle, but I feel that members in the WoW community should be told that you can now fish Winter Squid on the US servers, you can catch Winter Squid from Sept 23 until March 20. The equivalent is the Raw Summer Bass which can only be catch on March 20 till September 22 so if you haven't got the Raw Summer Bass you'll have to wait til it's in season. This is for The Oceanographer fishing achievement. Happy hunting! (:
2 Pet Battle Trainer in Dreanor are enough (with Safari Hat) to level a pet from level 1 to 2 5 :D So use the guides for them and the pandaria trainers to level your pets fast. And dont forget to do Erris also to get even more exp for your pets.
LOL. Your pet chart shows how much people enjoy collecting and leveling them but not so much having to PvP (pet vs pet) other teams.
I love collecting, but I detest PvP battling. Perhaps it's because all I see are cheap tactics and super OP pets, but it's just not my thing. Since MoP, I just now got the "Win 10 PvP Pet Battles" Achievement.
I'm totally in the leveling/collecting camp as well. I had Serrinne write the PvP tips guide partially because I really didn't know where to start.
There seems to be a constant set of pets people use and while I admire the level that people take these things to, it's crazy to me. Kinda why I got out of the Pokemon competitions too when it became all about EV training and super specific numbers. Ruins it when it becomes more of a spreadsheet process instead of just being fun, ya know?
I think it's useful to have a few starter pets that you know are solid. I used to just enjoy collecting pets but didn't really know where to start leveling them, until I used a few suggestions from guides. Once you have a core group, you can start to understand which pets work well together and can get more creative. Right now I have most of the pet battle achievements done and just put together and level pets I think look cute, with one OP one to carry.
I'm running Blossoming Ancient, Brazie's Sunflower Seeds & Ruby Droplet and went 5-0 without any trouble. They say running a sunlight/healer team is worse than Hitler but still...
Yeah you'll notice I didn't suggest a full healer team because I'm not evil ^__^
Hahaha - You are so cruel.
I tried the PVP event 25 times yesterday. I went 3-22. I tried all the various options and teams discussed in this thread and many others. I will say the ones I did win were earlier in the day.Graves was definitely one of the main opponents. Many of the matches were very close with the other team only having 200-400 health left on their last pet. However, for the reward given it is MUCH faster to do other pet related activities. If you enjoy PVP battles then enjoy, but if you are simply doing it for the reward I would look elsewhere.
For those who have a garrison, look for another garrison with Kura. Ive found that most level 4+ pets can take 1 hit, then I use 2 level 18+ pets to finish off the kura pets. Its great XP for pets but can only be done once a day. Currently Im running a 3 undead team:WeebominationScourged WhelplingSpectral KidOpen with Kid because you can normally guess what they will use for an opener which will either be the set up or the big hit. Block this, Cast haunt, then bring out the whelpling. The whelping is your sacrifice pet. For whelpling I use: Plagued Blood and Death and decay. Cast death and decayFinish with Plagued blood until both pets are dead. if they swap recast plagued blood so you get the dot on another pet. Scourged whelpling diesKid respawns/comes back to life. Bring out weebominationCleave until 50% then use consume corpse. bring back out kidhauntCleave until their pets are dead.
Chrominius and Anubisath Idol master race. Also I rather enjoy how high Clockwork Gnome is.
