So people know if you're running marksman spec you cannot swap between having a pet and not having a pet like you could before this patch, your dps is higher with a pet on single target dps and higher for AOE without a pet, the problem though is that if you dismiss your pet during a dungeon or raid it takes 10 minutes to get the full 10% passive damage increase from Lone Wolf.
" Lone Wolf - Currently after dismissing your pet, you gain the Lone Wolf buff, but on a ramping timer (Approx 1% every 6 sec for a total of 1 minute). The issue here is the ramp timer, not necessarily the ability itself. Having to wait a full minute to gain the full benefit of Lone Wolf feels very cumbersome. Any time you dismiss your pet, any time you get battle rezzed and any time you swap a Talent, it takes a full minute to gain the full 10% buff from Lone Wolf."It's in the article :) it takes 1 minute to get the buff again.
Spec feels slow. Why Aimed cast time is so long? Why it can't be casted on the move? Why we need 2 generators instead of one that is actually good? Why True Shot is so weak CD?Why our AOE has become so convoluted? Why MM tuned so low damage wise? Why Lone Wolf buff has unnecessary ramp up time? Why talent choices are so underwhelming/absent?
I was a main MM through all Legion and I can say that I prefer the Legion version. It was so much fun, ok you had RNG but the spec was fun, you always had something to press. AiS was not 2 charges and you could enjoy True Shot a lot more. Now with the new version... I went Antorus to get a feel and the rotation is so slow. I was having more fun with the Legion MM. The slow focus regeneration and the nerf it's killing the rotation for me. Rotation that it's not even much fun on long fights per se.Also, Piercing Shot in the same row as Lock and Load was a VERY bad ideia. It really feels like we will be the Legion Survival of this exp.
I mained MM in Warlords and I gotta admit, I much prefer that iteration over this rather slow and clunky version. I mean there are at least some good changes, but the it was so much more fun and rewarding in Warlords.
"Feels slow" is a good enough summary. I assume (hope) the severe undertuning will be a quick enough fix, but that's no compensation on the gameplay. I get wanting to return MM to feeling a bit slower and more deliberate in its shots, but I think they overshot the mark (no pun intended). Resource generation feels too slow, Aimed Shot cast feels too long, and frankly Steady Shot feels too long as well for what it is.
I agree. This spec is too slow now. I loved kiting and jump shots. Waiting forever to shoot is a bunch of happy horse hockey. Cooldowns fine. Do them after the shot. I suggest the developers rewatch Lord of the Rings. Specifically any scene where Legolas is working that bow like it's a Steinway, and moving like the elf he is. As for the pets, I've played so long without one now, its annoying to relearn to use them. I know, big whine fest. I get tired of the efforts to make the spec feel more "huntery". (their word not mine)
Careful Aim is useful for leveling. Mark + Double tap + Careful aim = 70%+ HP gone. Also, I'll rather take camo for leveling for a bit of healing than Trailblazer when I can shoot from almost 50yd. For short movement, Disengage with Posthaste works well, for anything longer I'll mount up.Trueshot (and Rapid Fire before it) is a CD that was always boring. It was tuned well sometimes but it was boring nevertheless. They should get rid of that nostalgia and give MM hunters something new already. And they should finally give multishot a new icon that actually fits a shot instead of this 15-years-old piece recycled from Warcraft3.
I was among the people who called for the removal of the Vulnerable mechanic but, frankly, I will choose Legion MM with its flaws and shortcomings over what we got in BfA. I have never missed Ranged Survival more than when looking at Hunter specs in BfA lol.
Low focus regen outside combat makes spec feel slow even during questing, despite that being best environment for Aimed Shot perks. Because if you happen to run out of focus right when killing the mob, and don't want to waste 50% opening bonus from Aimed by opening with Steady Shot, you have to wait over whole whopping 10 seconds just to recover enough for opening
It feels incredibly slow, clunky, unenjoyable and unrewarding, I much prefered when we could actually do a decent sum of aoe, current aoe is an absolute joke.
nah vulnerable was $%^&ing awful, anyone who defends it is a removedBFA is undoubtedly better than Legion MM, it just needs some minor tuning
The spec feels slow, and not gratifying. It hits hard, i'll give you that, but it's boring to play. I'd like to express my opinion, but I don't want anyone to feel like this is an attack or an offense, i have a few questions:- why can't explosive shot be a targeted ability ? or at least an AoE targeted zone, like volley in TBC ?- why remove the black arrow and dark minion ? replacing it with this serpent sting ? we only have one dot.- what about the combination between multi shot and serpent sting? was it so overpowered they have to remove it ?- why insist in having piercing shot as a talent, it's dmg is really low, only useful in certain ocasions and you no longer have the choice to use it at 100 focus. - I personally miss exotic amunitions, having an extra flavor to my shots, and a choice.- Why can't our L'n'L procs be as good as hotsteaks for mages ? 5% chance ? and it's a talent? - what happened to the fantasy of the piercing shot passive that made out target bleed ? - what is this "new" hunter's mark adding 5% dmg as a talent ? this should be baseline as it has always being, in my opinion.
PvE-wise, MM could be fine, I would wait for the first raid gear and its numbers.PvP-wise, MM lost its mobility, control and bursting nature. I cannot imagine any arena hunter playing MM.
Just got here to see people complaining about the easiest class and spec in game with the most damage, jesus get good for once hunters.
