This is lookin good. =)
Transparent Bestial Wrath? That sound like an amusing bug. Thanks for the update!
Well I hope those effects are placeholder because hardly anything has changed. Given that every other class under the sun seems to be getting visual polishing, they wouldn't leave frost mages as they are on live... right?
If there's a big batch of spell animation updates, we'll make another video. Windwalkers have been around a while on the Alpha and haven't gotten a ton of flashy visuals though. Glacial Spike is pretty great, I was personally disappointed not to see more new animations.
Nice artifact preview for Frost Mages. A little bland in terms of how to obtain it, then again, it's only alpha. And I don't mind that the visuals for the majority of the frost spells weren't changed. I like Frost as is, but some updates to the animations are always nice if they decide to.
That glacial spike animation reminds me of FF VIII xD
Does anyone else find the datamined sixth weapon form to be the most appealing across most of the classes? Because I know I do. :)
I'm looking forward to see more animations of the Windwalker Monks.
I am very encouraged by the frequency and detail of the communication and response we are seeing from Blizzard. It looks like they are doubling down on what was started in the "Ghostcrawler Experiment." If this keeps up and evolves into a more focused partnership between the developers and the community, we could see this time being a pivotal point in games design moving into the future. Blizzard right now has the unique position of having millions of passionate, engaged players in the largest focus group in history. I'm glad they are finally leveraging this position and every gamer and developer stands to gain from it.
Wait, is Grimoire of Supremacy being removed from the game entirely? If so, why? My main complaint with warlocks for the past few years is how squishy the pets are. They need to be buffed across the board, and removing Supremacy is a step in the wrong direction. For example, compare a BM hunter AoEing mobs to a demo warlock: for the hunter you can pull out a tenacity pet, pop Misdirection, then basically go to town. But for a warlock you can either a) maintain AoE threat with a felguard which is too squishy to survive a lot of damage, or b) attempt to tank with a voidwalker, which is (sometimes) as tough as a hunter pet but has absolutely no way to maintain AoE threat. Hunters already have more utility - interrupt, snare, FD for spell blocking, plus additional CC options from talents - when soloing, so at the very least it would be nice to see warlocks approach the same level of pet toughness and tanking that hunters get. It's possible that Demonic Servitude could theoretically fill that gap, but only if the Infernal gets a buff to their survivability.
Good news about Hati. I was worried we were looking at an uncontrolled pet who, like Leorajh, aggros everything and dies often. It looked like BM hunter equated to an expansion-long escort quest. Too bad the different appearances are just recolors and not creatures of different families.
Strange: I haven't touched frost since Wrath, and yet I feel inclined to play with it a bit come Legion... Looking forward to the fire mage animations showcase. ;)
Still no update for the water elemental.:/
I'm disappointed to see Ice Barrier and the pally and disc priest's shields are still 2D animations.. Guys, its 2016 :D can't have 2D shields anymore...
I really love your guys' daily content updates...but why do you show spell animation videos that go through every single animation, which for 99% of the spells out there, are still old and the spells we've seen 10 zillion times before? I only noticed Glacial Spike; I think that's new; I also think they updated Icy Veins and Frost Nova, other than that I couldn't really tell.
It's good to know that the particles in blizzard look just as awful as they did back then and still make no sense. Why are particles moving in different directions? Or does wind not work like that in the Broken Isles?
