If WoW is still currently on the top of MMORPG, that's probably because the game got a strong visual identity (despite the lore, questionable in many ways, but I like it too). I don't get why all these people are wanting a realistic game that much. Ardenweald and Bastion are probably the proof that they're able to create magnificent environments even with an old engine.I just don't get why they're sometimes creating low-res textures while another ones are more detailed. Anyway, concerning Dreamhaven, wait and see...
Dude this is going to be so good, a bunch of legends who left the wow team + devs who made my favorite RTS ever + a stunning looking engine = great game hopefully
I truly don't understand why this is on Wowhead at all. It isn't WoW news. It isn't Blizzard news. It's random Indie video game company news that happens to employ some ex-Blizzard employees. If Wowhead wants to be an overall video game news website, that's fine. That's up to them. But perhaps they can tag this as Other so that I and others who aren't interested in this can filter it out.
Exciting. Nice to see C&C alum along for the ride as well, so many happy memories playing Tiberium Sun/Red Alert. Before there was WoW I was addicted to RTS and it's just such a compelling genre. I think in many ways it could be perfect for mobile (heresy I know) if done right, the only issue I guess is I know in my heart that any mobile games will be stuffed with either annoying ads or purchases or both. Really a shame, a quick game against an NPC or another player on a 45 minute transit ride to work would be just perfect for lots of people and their commutes. I have to wonder if this is at all in response to the success (relative) of C&C remastered.
100% agree here, WoW has this unique art style that makes it what it is. Blizzard knows it and I doubt they will change that. They might find ways to improve the graphics quality, but the style will remain as it is in my opinion.
So why we got news about other companies in the Blizzard section? Are wowhead editors drunk or something? Can't wait till they announce Bethesda news under the "Blizzard" tag. Lol.
Mislabeled, they left Blizzard so they have nothing to do with Blizzard?
Good news for fans of Starcraft, one of the devs in Frost Giant is Monk who helped design coop in SC2.
