I like that people keep trying to push that it's "Season 4" when there is no season mechanic and it's just the same game as PTR. So this is just D4 release and nothing more.
Season - "we fixed our terrible stats" but that took all our development time so you don't actually get a season mechanic this season 4
Good changes. But I would appreciate it if the bosses had mechanics that you couldn't ignore.I spent the last two seasons killing everything with my eyes closed. I got bored because of how trivial everything was.I would like to do the same combats as the story mode bosses in end game content. In those fights there was tension, I had to stop attacking and evading when necessary. But that doesn't exist after completing the story.
They really should have cancelled the seasons thing earlier when they realized that the entire games foundation was so poorly designed and had to be redone from the ground up. But I guess you can't sell season passes that way.
The complains I see here confirm to me that those people either never played Diablo and just want to talk bad of the game or are just haters (I try to be polite). Like pilek01 said, seasons which doesn't have a new mechanic as always been a thing since they started this, which is since D2 with ladders. It became then seasons in D3. But all this as always been fixes, changes in classes and set, and on very very rare occasions new sets. New and temporary mechanics started with D4 and, for me, I liked those new mechanics, and it's understandable that they don't really keep it on Eternal Realm (there would be way too much things in it, which would not be fun at all). I find it perfect that they make some new aspects based on those new mechanics.I played Necromancer in S1 and S2 with different build each (and ironically fitting to the season), and I had a lot of fun trying those new mechanics with it. So for me the goal of ''even if playing the same class for the season, you will be able to try new things and have a different feeling with it'' work quite well (I don't say perfectly). My issue with S1 has been how long it take to grind and, or course, the feature of the season about Malevolent Heart, which was not really that interessing. S2 was great, with the vampire theme, the vampiric zones, etc. S3, on which I played sorcerer, lacked of new mechanic for your class, and I admit that I felt like the robot was not there (and I say this despice knowing that he saved me sometime by tanking the ennemies for me). But I liked the idea of trapped dungeon and I liked playing those new dungeons more than the normal dungeons. I find it funny that there were people complaining about those traps, because they don't think to dodge them.So for me, its fine to have a season not introducing a new temporary mechanic, but instead a big rework on gameplay. Its a season just like they did before, which is perfectly fine. And its good that it is a season, because its easier to lvl up et get gears you need in a season, while you can have fun trying a class you never did before. Even playing the class you prefer but with a different build, so you can get gears you want for your Eternal Realm character. There are so much ways you can build your character already. For this season, I'm going to play Barbarian, which is a class I never played before.
Ah yes, this thread is full of gamers' second favorite hobby: complaining about games.
