Good. The boss ladder is one of the best things about D4's endgame, and for it to work the top of the ladder needs to be desirable to hunt, otherwise what's the point?
The way that's worded, it could easily mean they cut the other bosses chances in half and duriel/andariel remain the same.
Normalised is better. Developers should stop repeating old mistakes and make up their minds. It is getting ridiculous.
Might want to update that article to state you have to farm Mucus Egg, Shard of Agony, Sandscorched Shackles, and Pincushioned dolls. In other words, you're basically forced to run the entire gamut of bosses for the materials for Duriel and Andariel. Not exactly very fun.
They should rather equalize the difficulty of these bosses and give each different boss a couple of mythics that can only drop from from them. I don't know why they would want to make only two of the bosses desirable to do.
Here are some of my own stats on running these bosses during and shortly after this recent March of The Goblins event, as that is when I amassed a good stock pile of summoning mats.Out of 18 runs on the Beast, 2 mythics droppedOut of 14 runs on Zir, I got 2 mythicsOut of 20 runs on Varshan, 2 mythicsOut of 22 run on Grigore, 3 mythicsOn 30 runs against Duriel, only 1 mythicWith Andariel, I did 23 runs, and only 1 mythic.I still have a lot of summoning mats, I ran out of the Stygian Stones and that is what stopped me trying for more.I hope that if they do not mess with the lower end bosses, we can still get decent drops for our efforts. But, considering this new difficulty system, it is going to be confusing just on what difficulty level we are to do these runs on Tormented versions of the bosses? At least with the current system, you could only get them World Tier IV, now... I don't know.
I don't understand what the point of standardizing the difficulty with torment tiers was if they are going to make duriel and andariel harder then the other bosses on let's say torment 1.I thought that torment 1 was going to mean that you knew exactly how hard everything was going to be, but now the tormented bosses will have varying difficulty just like before with world tier 4.
I wanna say this isn’t true I’ve ran duriel 117 times on T3 no mythic drops not even one. I’ll say that blizzard has failed the math class and needs to take it again.
