This is good to know. Was gonna spend my sparks from Eternal and Season 5 on transmog unlocks so I should do it when it costs more sparks just so I don't have to spam content on Eternal in a week to properly utilize the sparks on a realm I don't normally play on.
Locking core gameplay systems behind the expansion now makes the game exactly what they said It won't be, pay to win. Esp runewords and mercanaries.
I like the halving of mats, initially I understood it would be one spark and 3 sets of 10 (or was it 15?) of the runes, totaling 30 (or hehe, 45?) runes plus a spark. The big question I want to know, and I am sure everyone else does, is how often will runes drop? Where are they going to be best farmed and are they going to be easy, middling or difficult to get? Sparks we get at an already extremely low rate from salvaging a mythic we don't want, they already make this sort of crafting difficult at best.I'm Eternal and already have all my mythics I want, but I would love to have a crest that has a couple of Greater Affixes like my brother got as an Uber Boss drop.As far as I know, adding new features to a game introduced via an expansion is normal for Blizzard, look at warcraft, prime example. I bought the expansion, so I'm not concerned, but it should have been made very apparent. If not, then hesitant players should have also been given the initial option of 4 sparks to craft a mythic of their choice if they don't want to buy the expansion just yet. Then the updated crafting method could be swallowed a little easier for those who have held off buying.
