T10 was the last DK tier set that mattered. They've all looked like complete garbage since then, but nothing will top how hilariously bad the Burger King set from Firelands was.
Why is there 5 'normal' tints and 2 mythic tints? Is it an alliance/horde mythic version? One of the 'normal' tints is for pvp?
Any chance of getting this available for the Dressing Room?
This looks great, I wonder which is the pvp set and which is the normal raid sets.
fugly
Sodding ugly. Why take a step back and add those boots when you have an amazing set like the pvp legion S1 elite (red lich king set)... Which most people will never be able to get...I do question some peoples state of mind...
I know Mythic sets tend to have some extra flair/detail these days and I can understand that. It seems a little much on this set though...I don't know that I like the Mythic version either- but the Normal set almost looks like questing gear, or a low-tier PvP set. I guess in short: It doesn't feel like the Mythic set adds anything- it feels more like the Normal set(s) removes something. It's a weird subjective feeling, to be sure, but there ya go.I think tier sets are a pretty important part of maintaining class fantasy, and certainly gating them behind current content makes sense. But it didn't used to be the cutting edge of current content. Color tints would change, but it was still generally true that if you were completing current raids on some level at Normal or above, you'd be able to get the great-looking armor designed for your class. I feel like we've gotten away from that and it's a bit frustrating.
I REALLY dislike the sleeveless part of this set. What kind of juggernaut runs around with exposed skin? Sure they can't feel pain, but that defeats the point of a juggernaut. It looks like a mail armor set.As for the set in general, I see where they were going with it. It looks to be a remake of the DK starter gear (green quality) with shoulders being more reinforced and the helmet becoming a full helm instead of a hood. But the sleeveless chest just ruins it completely. The mythic version doesn't really add much either. The tusks seem to be from the blue quality DK gear.Personally, I feel they should have remade either the Scourge Lord set or remade the DK starter gear (blue quality). Maybe even the armor Darion wore, not sure which set that is though. The helmet and shoulders I'm okay with, but that chest needs to go. The boots need to be bulky boots, same with the gauntlets, but to a lesser extent. The belt is okay, but could add more to the set as a whole. That chest though, ugh... it needs to go.As a DK main, not very impressed, especially after the class over hauls about class fantasy then they make this. T19 was fantastic, but this just pales in comparison.
It's ok, but this looks like one of those sets where the Mythic/Elite version is just nice, not outstanding, and it looks like they had to make the other versions really plain just to make the Mythic/Elite one look better in comparison.
I mean seriously, 7 year old can come up with better looking tier after spending 20 mins in paint
I think it's supposed to be based off the DK starting set
So it's the starter set on steroids sans the skirt
They should've given DK robe this time around.
this looks like crap, and doesn't give that "Black Temple" BC feel at all... this feels like Cataclysm and WotLK tier had an ugly baby.
I'm actually a fan. It's simple, but cool.
I'm dissapointed with helmet, expected something neat like Scourgelord set one or Dreadwyrm-Lich King like.I can deal with the rest.
For some reason i keep seeing the dk shoes as spiked steel slippers...
