a whole lot of reading into this when its just speculation or what was formally known as trolling.
People are clueless when they say blizzard stocks are down. No, its not just blizzard, pretty much every public company out there has seen its stock go down from november (which co-incidently lines up with blizzcon so people think blizzard stocks are down cause of blizzcon announcement, no thats not it) to december. Apple, Samsung, Tencent, EA, Amazon etc.
Teldrassil might be regrown and will look beautiful. Night Elves might relocate to the moon through an Elune story.
And what exactly does this mean to the playerbase? Nothing.
Do you guys not have good stock numbers!
The funny thing is.. we all kept looking to see what the next WoW-Killer would be, you know, game wise..I don't think any of us anticipated that it would be killed by it's own people.
Honestly, when I read an article a few weeks ago about how the finance department was being pulled into meetings about game development I thought, "well there's a horrible idea". Accountants don't make good games and old-school Blizzard was famous for delaying the release of a game until everything was just right. I think I hear the sound of micro-transaction being added as we speak.
Good she needed to be fired. She was destroying Blizzard Entertainment
Pain is required for change to happen - the question is: does Blizzard understand what they did wrong in BfA or not? So far, seems not, as the fixes that have come or are coming (that we know of) don't address the problems at all. Logins have to be way down, they need to bring those back up, and they can look at other xpacs which did it well (MoP and Legion, in particular). The RNG-at-all-costs has drained the spirit out of WoW fans.I'm trying to scrape some fun between 8.1's release and the real Jan 22 release... and I have 2 new tanks each at nearly ilevel 370, but with 340 weapons... Not gonna tank PuG M+ until I get a weapon, damn shame there isn't a currency system I can use to plan and get the one piece of gear I need most for my role. Instead I have no less than 3 two-handed 370 weapons on both tanks... it'd be funny if it didn't put a direct hurt on the game itself by making me tank less...
I fail to see the interest in news such as these but I guess the game is so dry with this expansion, you have to come up with something to show to the players/fans/haters just to say the website is active and alive.
I was just today thinking of Blizzard's leadership (reflecting on developers after watching the dumpster fire that Atlas is)...and thinking it's been a bit lackluster. Maybe Legion was a high point for sure, but there seems to be lacking a single unifying vision that's keeping the game together. We've gotten a lot of new features, but they're all disconnected and not fitting together neatly.
Based on the anonymous developers' reports, I am happy that Amrita Ahuja is leaving.
