A few days ago, there was a post saying Soul Ash was required for rank 5 and rank 6... now you are saying it is not? What is the real story?
So assuming that there are similar quantities available, soul ash will be a useless currency, if you are able to upgrade straight to a level 5 legendary from soul cinders then no one will be using soul ash to get any other rank because it will waste gold on the runecarver equipment right?
What a mess. How can you look at this system and genuinely be satisfied with the game design? Utter failure of content.
Wait, you can spam infinite runs for Soul Ash hereafter?
something's not quite right
I love the idea of being able to spam torghast (even if at a reduced rate) to farm soul ash on alts/for other legendaries, should have been incorporated on launch up till weekly cap.
Reading Blizzard's various posts on the new patch is like watching a comedy
The post was showing the total cost of ash and cinders for rank 1 to 6, the soul ash requirement stops at rank 4
Since people in comments didn't read the last wowhead post, you will need the remaining amount of soul ash to upgrade a legendary for rank 1/2/3 AND the soul cinders to upgrade to rank 5/6. If your legendary is already rank 4 then soul ash won't be required to upgrade. In example, a rank 2 legendary will require 3150 soul ash and x number of soul cinders to upgrade to rank 5 (not sure what amount of soul cinders is required to upgrade to rank 5/6).
