In Retail it kinda never got fixed until they reworked the AH as a whole X) so good luck!
Consequence of doing mega servers with a ton of layers. At least they are working on it, these kind of problems can't be tested well on the beta so I'll give them a pass... :D
Can be fixed by limiting the amount of things people can put on the AH per account. This would piss maybe .01% of the playerbase off but make everyone else happy.
I wish they would just use the modern auction house. I don't understand how flipping through 3000 auctions of 1 cloth has to be apart of the classic experience.
Modern AH pls!
Maybe some bans to the players putting up 193 stacks of 1 cloth?
All I care about is getting @AnnieFuschia in my friends list now.
Limit maximum auctions to 20. Prevent auctions from being 'cancelled' once they receive a bid. (this will stop people listing at 1c)
So either they didn't think this could happen (even having a decade plus of data on how players behave and knowing some of the limitations on how the AH operates) or they knew this was a possibility and did nothing to prepare (hello classic launch, tbc classic launch, shadowlands launch, legacy server blade shipping mishaps, etc). As for the "beta couldn't have prepared for this" line...really? How hard is it to have your own system of bots create lots of auctions so you can see where your games limits are. Oh that's right, their systems are only for catching bots, and then making people that get false positives jump through hoops and threaten harsher punishments.I mean maybe if they expanded beta past streamers, raiders and a handful of lucky folks, they could actually test stuff properly. And expanding at the last minute for the stress test that it beyond poorly thought out for the umpteenth time doesn't count.
You mean they ain't claiming DDoS on this one? Shocking!
They just need to implement the current AH. The no changes crowd have to swallow that one.
Just add the modern auction house from retail to TBCC.#somechanges
