This feels somewhat similar to EVE's Council of Stellar Management
Well here's trying to get some customizations I'd like in lol
No luck the first time, here's to a positive second tryout! \o/
This time the council might have ear listening, blizzard has made a real change in vision for the game and philoshopy in general.
Greetings everyone, Hopefuly they choose 'Nobel' (Nobbel87), 'Hazel' (Hazelnuttygames), 'Bellular' (BellularGaming), 'Perculia' (Wowhead), 'IKedit' Team, 'Platinum' (PlatinumWoW) and 'Taliesin' (TaliesinEvitel) for the Comunity council seats. Each one of them loves this game and I think wow developer team needs to listen to their feedback about how to keep this game fresh for both veterans and new players. If they are chosen I'm sure they are going to keep the lore/ identity of each character (like 'TheRedShirtGuy') and push the game to have shorter but meaningful updates (no more than 2 weeks of development and 2 weeks of testing for minor patches, if possible shorten the mayor patch development circle from 6 months to just 2 months). The idea is to have constant enjoyable updates to avoid losing player base and remove the super long 'time-gated' rewards that 'force' the player to play a repeated daily that makes the game feel like a job. (For instance Mechagon drops, rares and archivements with a constant battle for survival aganist common mobs when it was current content, not fun at all) For personal untradable boss drops, a pity system needs to be added (like a 'mount', 'weapon illusion', 'toy', 'transmog' or if your class requires a second weapon) to be able select a pity item and know you will get it if you kill the boss 10 times or less (the selector chest from doing raid content, mythic dungeons or PvP only works in current expansion and is RNG what piece you get from it, this pity is in order to gear up or if you are trying to get legacy items). If you read this comment thank very much, hope this gives a general idea why wow feels a little rusty compare to current games right now. I agree some twitch streamers are not the best choice to become a council member because even if they have a lot of followers doesn't mean they care for the game and its current issues (they just switch games to keep their sucriber counter).PD: Pivotal 'PivotalYT', Captain Grim 'CaptainGrim' and Nixxiom 'NixxiomOnYouTube' would do a far better as council members than the bald streamer.
They should pick for the council at least one person who doesn't have the Auction house Reins of the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur mount. It makes a huge different in game play convenience and function, and they practically removed it while many players have it and it gives them unfair advantage over others in many different situations.Someone should be the voice of many in the player base to get it back into the game (and no, twice a year in random realm BMAH is not realistic option). A person who already have it usually just don't care, and even prefer it to not be in the game anymore, so need someone else to deliver our voice!
They need to pick real players that love the game, not streamers or YouTubers that just trying to milk it for cash....
I wish this had been advertised a bit better. I'd never even heard of the community council until I saw the "title" beside someone's name in a forum and decided to look it up. I would have loved to submit an application, but sadly, it appears it's too late. :-(
