At first I was worried the things I wanted to try would be too offbeat, but Terran was into it and an advocate for me on some odd things we ended up doing (compared to what people are used to seeing in our in-game cinematics). For that I cannot express my gratitude enough.— Michael Bancroft (@MichaelBancroft) August 13, 2018

To the Alliance, I really hope you enjoy some of the weirder stuff you'll be seeing as you quest. Wont spoil anything, but one in particular was a massive labor of love for me and I knew as soon as Terran pitched the idea that I was dying to put it together.— Michael Bancroft (@MichaelBancroft) August 13, 2018

This was so beautifully well written, thank you! <3
I just noticed that this cinematic solves the "Quantum-Tandred-paradox" where Tandred was present at the following quest "a nation united" yet has a gravestone next to his father and brother. He was the leader of the fleet that was held hostage by the tidesages and apparently gone for quite some time. At least long enough for the people of Kul'tiras to think that he and his entire crew died.
Great analysis! Really helpful for those of us who've only completed the Horde campaign so far!
I have to say I am impressed with the cinematics in BFA so far they have a lot deeper meaning and actual character development instead of the flashy stuff for the sake of flashy stuff like we had with Legion.
Love these analyses, keep that up! :)
Theramore citizens and Varian's vision were kinda nightmare or her misguided guilt i believe. Since Varian never blamed her like that. Or I am forgetting something? Also now its clear that Daelin was wrong. So Jaina did the right thing in Theramore. Her storyline is revolved around regret and guilt. Everyone blames her for her perfect decisions. Her only wrong decision was blaming (and still blaming) the entire horde for Garrosh. She saw first hand that entire horde stood against Garrosh, she still kept her grudge for the horde in legion and wod. That's something makes her "villain" to the horde playerbase. Along with Genn, Jaina was the another threat Sylvanas was counting on. I hope we'll see far more better story ahead.
this cinematic bring me to tears, finally, just finally after years of being tortured by blizzard writers she now finds something good to find inner peace, probably know she can start being more calm, rational and smart? she could be a great leader not only for kultiras but also, the alliance, if she learns from her mistakes.i truly love her character in bfa.and i don't blame players who hate her for trying to find someone who they can antagonize in the alliance, since that is something that the alliance lacks.the alliance doesn't have the kind of villain like sylvanas, in fact, anduin is the polar opposite of sylvanas.but i understand if people gets frustrated for that.
Wow, it's almost like it's a morally gray world and both factions are garbage.
KINNDYbury me with my rum
Jaina quest line is one of the most touching things in the expansion for me. I hope good quality writing doesn't end here. Thanks for a breakdown!
Jaina's Theme is so stunning and moving. The music department at Blizzard is beyond good.
