The Heart of Azeroth trait system reminds me of the old glyph system in the past expansions. It's a nice feature and it's much better then the artifact weapons system.
oh great...now we get to worry about the mobs ganging too lol. should be great
I need to sit and watch this panel (haven't yet) ... interested in the social aspects.
I'm impressed with the amount of new systems and ideas that have been presented. I really like the direction of the features in this expansion. The variety of things to do in this game is becoming just staggering. Good stuff!
I hope the combat traits in this new artifact mcguffin are kept to a minimum. I would honestly hate it if every piece of gear had a BIS combination.
wondering when this new expansion will be released omg
Awesome! Great news all around!
Pvp is not really my thing but i'm curious to see how everything is gonna work out
I love PvP so thrilled to see new aspect brought to the game. :D
I really like that they are adding back scenarios. Always used to run those back in MOP.
I loved scenarios in mop, super excited to do them again!
I really love that the AI for the 3 man scenarios has a tactical element to it. Keep everyone on their toes!
Cool!
I'm really looking forward to the new community/guild feature. I also love that we will be going out into the old world and build our base.
I hope we dont have to grind azerite like we had to with AP
I'm really looking forward to those 3 man szenarios. I liked them in MoP and think they'll be a great addition to Dungeons and Raids
1. To everyone asking "What happened to Silvermoon"Alliance controls NOT ALL, BUT ALMOST ALL of Eastern Kingdoms, with Silvermoon being last Horde stronghold on the continent. You can also clearly see it on the map - it's not all blue, it's blue up to Menethil, with Lordaeron being contested; except Gilneas which is also Alliance. And they clearly said that Arathi is the war front: while Alliance is eager to push north and remove last remnants of Horde from the continent, Horde want to conquer Gilneas and have all of Lordaeron under theit control. And, as far as I understand, Alliance did not conquer Undercity - it was destroyed, and those ruins are not interesting to anyone.2. As for the neck.So far it feels not like infinite grind artifact was. You only seem to need those levels to unlock gear trait tiers; and once you have unlocked all four, there is no more need to upgrade neck. Also it would be quite unreasonable to make 4 tiers and make 4th tier unobtainable throughout the whole expansion; so I would suppose it is unlockable reasonably fast. Maybe half a year to unlock 4th tier for casuals, or 1-2 months for heavy grinders, and then you can stop - contrary to the artifact, where additional levels beyond the cap still made you stronger, forcing you to grind infinitely. On the other hand, capping your neck in first several months of the expansion and forgetting about it is not a good idea. So I can hypothesize neck level required to upgrade traits on gear could be tied to item level of that gear. Therefore, you can gring neck to sufficient level to unlock all traits on your current gear and stop for a while. Then next raid tier comes with higher item levels, and you have to grind your neck a bit more to be able to unlock all traits on this new gear. Thus it is finite grind to cap that you have to redo once in a while to get to new cap, and this seems most ideal for me. A system working through the whole expansion, but not overdoing it to make you hate it.The only thing that makes me worried is: once most raiders (who are most of heavy grinders) cap their necks, they will stop doing azerite content (including islands, which are mainly needed for azerite, as far as I understand). Then casuals will start whining that good players they expect carry from are not queuing anymore. Then Blizzard will do something to "encourage" raiders into doing that content again - turning it into infinite and making you hate it. Like they did with world quests and paragon bags containing rare mounts. But well, maybe it's me just whining here :) We will see.3. Warfronts. So far it sounded rather odd to me. Something like a battleground; but instead of going straight into battle, you spend first 30 minutes gathering lumber and gold and building your base and army. Only after that action begins... unless either side decides to zerg rush. Sure, that is the way of RTS, but is it going to be fun in MMORPG?
Best feature of the expansion so far for me: Communities! With a cross-guild raid group and a few various friend groups this will be a lovely bonus to my wow life.
Looking forward to the new island expeditions. Definitely going to steer clear of the PvP setting, but a challenging AI definitely has my interest piqued.
It's good to see voice improvements, but I don't know if it will be enough to pull people away from their existing solutions. I suppose it depends on just how well it integrates with the other social features. Keeping the Horde from coming down from Silvermoon seems like a daunting task. Also, since they have burnt Teldrassil, and how they have destroyed Undercity... just wow, it's like Cata again with the old world destruction. They must have said that they HAD to do Classic at the same time they keep tearing up the live world. So, that must mean Theramore is no more... I wonder how The Exodar will have fared? Anyone checked that out on the demo?
