: Sort of. One of the big points of feedback was after the opening questline in 7.2 there wasn't much to do. Argus should have lots of stuff to do -- it has 5 chapters and you'll have lots of stuff to do. The second week, you'll unlock invasion points and the second zone. After the third week, you'll unlock the
Netherlight Crucible
and the dungeon, the
Seat of the Triumvirate
. They don't want players to feel like they have to rush through the story and questline to unlock the end reward, the
Netherlight Crucible
.
Q: Will World Quests on Argus be account wide?
A: As many things as possible are going to be account wide -- the
Netherlight Crucible
, the
Seat of the Triumvirate
Dungeon and World Quests are going to be account wide. There will be certain World Quests that may not be account wide due to phasing.
Q: Any plans to remove the time gate for the 3rd relic slot in 7.3?
A: Yes! The time gate for the
3rd relic slot
will automatically be removed in 7.3. In addition, players will not have to do the
Broken Shore questline
to unlock

and the other new traits.
Artifact Knowledge is also getting changes
and will be global across all player. The week of the patch, all players will be Artifact Knowledge 41.
Q: Are
Legion Invasions
continuing in 7.3?
A: Yes. There's still rewards and achievements to be earned. They haven't considered if they're going to be removing it.
Q: Why is there no catch up for Champions?
A: Because Patch 7.3 isn't live yet. There are
new missions, equpiment and chests
on Argus that can shoot Champions all the way to item level 900.
Q: Is the Netherlight Crucible supposed to be fully RNG on Tier 2 and Tier 3?
A: The artifact traits in your weapon have always been a steady form of progression. However, the relics you slot in your weapon is subject to RNG -- the loot might not drop or other factors.
Well what's a problem with relics? Relics point to a specific index and for each spec that can use that relic, that specific index will map to a specific trait. If a holy relic is a bad trait for one spec and they wanted to change it, that would change the relic for all the other specs that could use it, because of the way the index works.
They wanted to fix that with a system that gave relics a random second trait in 7.2, but it was pulled at the last second. This was supposed to help classes that were searching for specific relics but was determined to be too random. The Netherlight Crucible is slightly different; while it has some randomness, players will not be able to choose their worst trait because they simply won't pick it.
Q: Why is the Netherlight Crucible good, but Reforging bad?
A: Reforging wasn't great because of hit and expertise management -- e.g. when you got a ring and had to reforge 10 other items because of it. They don't think it was an interesting system, since if an item didn't have your best two stats, you simply just reforged to your best stats. In some cases, it was hard to evaluate upgrades as well.
Q: How much of the new Artifact Power will work in 7.3 PvP?
A: The first trait from the Netherlight Crucible,

, on each relic will work in PvP, but that only equates to a fraction of a percent upgrade since it applies before the scaling. The remaining traits will not work in rated PvP.
Q: Have you made a decision on unlocking of Artifact appearances?
A: They've been talking a lot of this. They are still figuring out transmog and there may be some challenge like transmogging to a skull as demo. Previously, their idea was to remove the ability to unlock their appearances post Legion, but they are less satisfied with that now. Right now, the new thought is to let all appearances be unlocked post-Legion, except the
Mythic 15 Keystone appearances
and
Mage Tower skill challenge
skins, similar to Challenge mode skins.
Q: Do you plan on adding more Artifact skins in 7.3 or future patches?
A: They're done with that. The last set was done in 7.2 and it's time to take your powered up artifact to the Legion in 7.3.
Q: Can we get account-bound Prestige?
A: This is related to a previous question with artifact unlocks. The problem is that PvP on different characters is a different experience and there would be nothing to work towards if it was account-bound.
Q: Are you satisfied with the current state of Mythic+?
A: Very satisfied. They wanted to make sure that the risk-reward of high keystones was achieved. With the changes, Mythic+ participation is up across the board in all regions and people are actually pushing and doing higher keys.
Mythic+ was created since they wanted to make something different from Challenge Modes. They didn't want it to be a Speedrun since Challenge Modes weres about Stun and Burst AoE. Now, if you have good single target, that will be very useful on high Tyrannical bosses.
Q: M+ is awesome but doesn't drop tier forcing us to organize raid. Can we get tier from chests post +15?
A: They've set up M+ to be a parallel loot system to raiding, but they want there to be rewards from setting up organized raids. M+ also has smaller sets and certain valued items like

that can't be gotten in raid.
Q: Has the team considered expanding the system to include scaled-up dungeons from past expansions?
A: It's a popular question, but not right now. One of the current values of the Mythic+ system is that it retains value in the Legion dungeons. They know that Timewalking doesn't scratch the itch for week 1 Grim Batol or the original Shattered Halls, but getting a keystone for The Arcatraz doesn't make too much sense right now.
Q: Is there any chance for a reusable Augment rune? They are different to obtain.
A: There is one in 7.3 from Exalted Army of the Light,

. Augment runes were made for the high-end guilds who like to min-max. A guild gets a high-end BoE and then can sell it for a large sum of gold and get Augment runes or other items from the gold.
Q: Will Timewalking Raids lockout management be reworked to make it easier to pick back up?
A: It should have been changed for the next time

Q: What do you think is the ideal time for a raid to be first cleared?
A: Probably around a week and a half to two weeks but it's subjective. At the end of the first week, if top guilds are just reaching the end boss and then the second week they reclear and kill it, that seems about right.
The Encounter team is designing fights for the vast majority of players. When tuning, the last few bosses they do take the World First race into account. They want to tune the last few bosses so that the top guilds are able to distinguish themselves from each other. Mythic Kil'Jaeden was probably slightly overtuned knowing they could nerf the boss rather than it falling over.
In this tier, they also wanted to increase healing requirements across the board after top guilds 2 healed Mythic Elisande. The Internal testing team also spends hundreds on hours testing fights like Mythic Kil'Jaeden. Generally, Method and Exorsus are better than the internal testing team and they have to scale up fights from testing.
Q: Why are there so many soak mechanic this tier?
A: A lack of communication. Throughout the creative process, when they see "problems" such as melee are hitting a boss doing nothing for 2 minutes, generally new mechanics are added. Most of the solutions were adding soak-like mechanics which they noticed too late.
Q: Will Nethershards be relevant in 7.3?
A: They'll still be used on catch-up gear and cosmetic items. However, the Relinquished Vendor will be packing up and moving to Argus! Players will be able to trade a new currency, Argunite, for

on Argus and also be able to target relics.
Q: Do you feel like PvE utility for DPS is improperly balanced or do some classes do not have as much to offer for the group?
A: There's some specs that are lacking a bit of utility and they would like to bring them up a bit. But say a Rogue's personal utility becomes group utility when you bring 5 of them to Mythic Kil'Jaeden. But there's always going to be someone who has more than the others. There are things that generally don't matter but player find a way to make them useful during raid encounters such as use the speed increase on Monk's

Q: Spec damage auras have become a major tool for balancing specs this expansion.
A: It doesn't change anything for the general player experience. Previously, when they buffed specific abilities, it had a chance to change the rotation. Now they'll just buff everything by 3 or 5 percent using the aura and players won't have to look at the tooltip and add percent manually.
Q: Any chance of seeing class and dungeon/raid balance on a more frequent balance?
A: There have been places in dungeons and raids where they waited too long, such as Cathedral of Eternal Night. For classes, they like doing them in a large batch. It's a moving target for how often they should be done, and due to the "flavor of the month" classes, good players gravitate to the spec that has the 1% higher potential, but skew the data and cause a larger gap than 1%.
Q: LFR is supposed to be a way to see end-game content, so what's the deal with removing major mechanics?
A; Yes, there may be cases they've gone too far such as Desolate Host not appearing in the Desolate Host encounter. They've recently been changing their thoughts on LFR. Previously, when mechanics were unlikely to happen on LFR, they would nerf the damage by 60%-75% but there was one general mechanic that players would need to learn. Now, they want to only have a couple of mechanics that
do
matter rather than a large number of mechanics that are watered down and players can ignore.
Q: How am I supposed to get the 10 Rated Battegrounds appearance on unwanted specs for the Mage Tower skin?
A: They've changing this unlock and other similar unlocks from "Do X while equipped" to "Do X after you've unlocked the appearance". All players will need to do is win 10 Rated Battlegrounds after unlocking the artifact appearance.
Q: Have you thought about limiting split raiding?
A: We know that players don't like split raiding and Blizzard doesn't like it either but they also want to make sure that the cure isn't better than the disease. If loot is locked across all difficulties, then a casual raider who does both normal and heroic has nothing to look forward to in one of their runs. They want to make sure they find the right solution.
Q: When can we expect Worgen and Goblin remodels?
A: They haven't forgotten but recently they've been using the resources on the new casting animations. Goblin and Worgen are on the to-do list.
