PvP Changes in Pre-Patch of Burning Crusade Classic
With the
PvP Honor and Ranking System changes coming in the Pre-Patch
, Classic's PvP gear that could only be unlocked through the ranking system will now be available for purchase with Honor Points and Battleground marks. Now, any time an enemy player is killed, objective is taken in a battleground, or a battleground finishes, players will be instantly awarded Honor Points.
The Honor Point Cap for players is 75,000 Honor, meaning you won't be able to gain any more honor after 75,000. Also, Battleground marks (
Alterac Valley Mark of Honor
,
Warsong Gulch Mark of Honor
,
Arathi Basin Mark of Honor
,
Eye of the Storm Mark of Honor
) used to be unique up to 20, but change to 100 in the Pre-Patch and for Burning Crusade Classic.
New 75,000 Honor Point Cap
Battleground marks go from maximum stacks of 20 to 100

Gearing Characters During Pre-Patch
During the Pre-Patch releasing on May 18, 2021, which lasts until the Dark Portal opens on June 1, 2021, players can queue into battlegrounds and begin farming the new PvP currency, Honor Points. Battlegrounds marks are rewarded at the end of a battleground, and with enough Honor Points and Battleground Marks, players can purchase PvP Gear. With the new system in the Pre-Patch, PvP Ranks no longer exist and are not required to buy level 60 Epic PvP gear.
This is a fantastic way to gear out Boosted Characters, Alts, and a great way to pick up some catch up Gear before the Dark Portal opens. Another great option is for main characters to just stock up on Honor Points and Battleground Marks, if they plan on purchasing PvP Gear at level 70.
