Season 2 Keystone Master Requires +15s on Both Tyrannical and Fortified in Patch 9.1

In Shadowlands Season 2, the Keystone Master achievement is changing to require 2,000 rating which can be obtained by players completing each dungeon at +15 on both Tyrannical and Fortified, each dungeon at a +24 solely on either Fortified or Tyrannical, or a similar combination, making this achievement much harder to obtain.
Big thanks to Mythie for helping to figure out how Blizzard's Mythic+ Scoring system works.
Mythic+ Achievement Changes
In Patch 9.1, the Season 2 Mythic+ achievements (Explorer, Conqueror and Master) are being converted to a Mythic+ Score requirement instead of requiring players to complete all dungeons in-time on a certain difficulty.
Esploratore delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
- Requires 750 Mythic+ Rating
Conquistatore delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
- Requires 1,500 Mythic+ Rating
Maestro delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
- Requires 2,000 Mythic+ Rating
Patch 9.1 Mythic+ Score Basics
We gathered some Mythic+ score data of varying key levels from the Patch 9.1 PTR and Mythie has determined an good approximation of how Blizzard's Mythic+ scoring system works. For this post, we'll only be covering the essentials, but stay tuned to Wowhead for a more descriptive version in the future.
The higher the keystone level completed, the more score that you get. This increase appears to be
linear
unlike Raider.io's exponential scoring system.
A small amount of points (essentially up to ~10) are awarded or subtracted based on how much faster or slower the dungeon was completed.
Score is accumulated for your highest key on
both
Tirannia
and
Potenziamento
. Your higher key of the two will award
100%
of the score, but the lower key of the two will only contribute
33%
score for the run.
This means that completing a key on both
Tirannia
and
Potenziamento
will be required to get the highest score!

Keystone Master Requires +15s on Tyrannical and Fortified
We've waited an extra build to see if either the achievement requirements or Mythic+ scoring system changed in the recent 9.1 PTR build, and no changes were made to either system.
In Patch 9.1, players must complete a +15 on both Tyrannical and Fortified (or make up the score elsewhere) for every dungeon to achieve
Maestro delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
.
If you only want to play on one of
Tirannia
or
Potenziamento
, the achievement would require you to do each dungeon on a +24.
Breaking Down Keystone Master in Season 2
The
Maestro delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
requires 2,000 Mythic+ Rating, which over 8 dungeons would require an average of 250 Score per dungeon.
A +15 keystone completed just in time is about 187 points.
Completing both a Tyrannical and Fortified +15 keystone just in time is about 249 points.
This basically means that if you just barely time every dungeon on a +15 keystone on
BOTH
Tyrannical and Fortified, you should just achieve
Maestro delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
. This is a huge change from every past Mythic+ Season, which only required a flat +15 on every dungeon, and didn't require players to complete a +15 on both
Tirannia
and
Potenziamento
.
Making Up Mythic+ Score for the KSM
However, there is one upside. Because the achievements are now based on Mythic+ Score and not keystone levels, you can have a lower score in one dungeon, and make up Mythic+ Score from other dungeons. If you find a dungeon difficult to complete on a +15 (such as
Profondità Sanguigne
or
Aldilà
), you can do a lower level key, and then make up the score by completing a higher level easier dungeon (
Nebbie di Tirna Falcis
or Halls of Atonement).
While completing a +15 on both
Tirannia
and
Potenziamento
for each dungeon is probably the easiest, you could for example do a +14 on one affix and +16 on the other affix. If you don't want ever want to play on one affix, Mythie's approximation says that you'll need to complete +24s to receive the required score.
Of course, this is subject to change on the PTR in the future, and any further changes to the achievement requirements or Mythic+ score system will be noted here on Wowhead.
Keystone Master Season 2 Mount
Blizzard announced that the
Maestro delle Chiavi di Shadowlands: Stagione 2
mount will be a recolor of their Season 1 variant
at BlizzConline
.
Don't forget that there are additional
Dungeon Portals (CM Ports)
as a reward for completing each dungeon at +20, coming to Patch 9.1.
Thoughts and Conclusion
This seems like a weird change but possibly intentional change considering the new values of a +15 on both
Tirannia
and
Potenziamento
work out to almost exactly the requirement needed to get the achievement.
Potenziamento
is generally more favored by the community, and it's been clear that Blizzard wants players to play on
Tirannia
, so this could be a way to get players to play on
Tirannia
weeks. For the majority of players this change will require more time to get the reward of Keystone Master.
However, this change does come with a very nice upside -- you don't need to look for exact keystones and can mix-and-match dungeons, keystone levels and affixes to achieve the required score. You can use some of the easier dungeons or affixes to do the heavy lifting and receive more of the required score from them. If you get a really nice Mists of Tirna Scithe +18, you can probably slack a little on your Sanguine Depths key(s), or
Tirannia
dungeons. As a bonus,
Keystone Rerolling
is being added in Patch 9.1, to make it easier to get the dungeons that you want, which should make it easier to gain score in the dungeons that you're looking for.
This does also have a side effect of requiring more keystones needed for players to boost Keystone Master, which could make the reward for Keystone Master more rare.
