Second Take: The Druid Combo
A couple of weeks ago we took some time to discuss the Druid Combo of and . In it we highlighted some pro player comments, touched on ramifications of changes, and proposed solutions. There's a lot to consider and it's a pretty meaty read, we had SpaceWizard take a look at what our community had to say and offer his own opinion on the matter.

Should the Druid Combo be Nerfed?
Over the past few weeks, Blizzard's August Dean Ayala, known as Iksar to the Hearthstone community, has been discussing the impact of and . A game designer on the title, he's well versed on the balance of these two cards, commonly known as the Druid Combo, and how they actually perform across the wide range of ranks and game modes. There have always been advocates for nerfing one of the two, but for so long it's been baked in as part of the class' identity and eliminating it could drastically change its performance as a whole.

New Cards, Same Ol' Savagery - A Guide to the New GvG Druid
Druid has consistently been at or near the top of the meta for longer than any other class since the beginning of the Hearthstone Beta. The addition of the Goblins vs. Gnomes card set did nothing to slow down the versatile class and, in fact, has increased its power. While other classes, such as Mage and Paladin, have benefitted a little more, saving them from the depths of the rankings, Druid didn't need much help to begin with. In fact, no Druid class cards have been added to the standard aggressive Druid deck but the neutral cards that were added to the game fit very nicely into the existing deck and have really upped the power level.
Let's take a look at the deck and break down each card. Then we'll discuss some important combos and possible replacements as well as general game strategy.

Guide to Tanks and Tanking
We're always trying to help players improve at their roles, or pick up a new one, and so, thanks to
Sunnier
, we have a basic guide to tanks and tanking. Of course, if you're a seasoned tank, much of this may not be news to you, although you may learn something about classes other than your own. For newer players, would-be tanks, and anyone wanting to learn more about tanking, read on.
World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor Guide to Tanks and Tanking for Patch 6.0.3.
Tanking in Warlords of Draenor has remained largely unchanged as a role since the introduction of active mitigation in Mists of Pandaria. If you're new to tanking, your base role responsibilities are as follows:
Ensure that any enemy mobs that can be tanked are attacking you instead of your fragile allies.
Position enemies to best enable your allies and avoid unnecessary damage.
Use your mitigation abilities to ensure you're taking as little damage as possible.
This guide aims to give you the basics on how to tank, and a summary of the five tanking classes in Warlords of Draenor.

How to Win $100k and Influence People with Druid
Druid has gone through so many iterations at this point and had many players refine and innovate around the fantastic class cards that are available to it.
StrifeCro
is one of the first players credited with creating a powerful Druid deck with his old school Watcher deck that relied on silencing or taunting up . More recently we have seen
Kolento
take an updated Token Druid to the top of the ladder that included cards like and . This is a leaner and more solid version of Druid that has several strong opening hands, some hard to deal with creatures and a lot of burst potential to pressure the opponent's life total and control the board.
Let's take a look at the version Firebat used to win it all at Blizzcon and break down each card and its place in the deck.

Ramp Up and Burst Down: A Guide to the New Druid
The
Druid
class in Hearthstone has been popular in the constructed meta since beta and is still being refined to this day. The StrifeCro Ancient Watcher decks were huge for a while, followed by the Token Druid which was more aggressive and recently the Ramp Druid deck was all the rage after Gaara won Dreamhack with it. Now we are seeing a new sleeker version of the Druid with elements of all three decks. It is quite consistent against the current meta and has a lot of tools to control the board as well as finishers to get that last bit of damage in for the victory.
I’m not sure who created this exact version but I’ve seen
Kolento
play it a bunch on his stream and even get to Legend rank 1 with this exact deck. In this article we will discuss why the cards that make up this deck work well together, the deck's play style and how to mulligan your opening hand.

News Roundup: Deck Tech, Unleash The Hounds DE changes, Community Tournaments, Druid Blog
Deck Tech
On this week's Hearthstone deck tech, Spacewizard experiments with two rarely used Shaman cards, Ancestral Spirit and Far Sight. With this deck you can pressure your opponent into submission with powerful minions that simply refuse to stay dead. If your collection lacks this week's legendaries, check out the budget decklist for some alternatives.
Unleash the Hounds
Community Manager Zeriyah posted a small reminder to the world that Unleash the Hounds is being reverted to its original disenchant value tomorrow. Since its nerf, it's been disenchanting for the dust required to create it, so that if you were dissatisfied with the card following the nerf you didn't lose out on too much. As Zeriyah mentions, this temporary dust buff ends tomorrow:

As a reminder, Unleash the Hounds will disenchant for its normal cost once again on May 22nd!

Burning Seeds: Fire Kitty Disguise Added in Patch 5.2
During the Patch 5.2 PTR, players noticed that
Graine ardente
had been datamined, which would allow players to "harness the essence of Fire granted to the Druids of the Flame." The buff given,
Essence ardente
, explicitly stated that players turn into a Druid of the Flame while in Cat Form. This sounded exactly like the fire kitty effect granted by
Faux de flammes de Fandral
, except you didn't need to farm up the staff. What was the catch?
Well, nobody knew how to get them, which has led to a heated discussion if this item ever made it to live servers. Earlier today, Community Manager Crithto
made a post
that
Graine ardente
