Patch 5.2: Isle of Thunder Content Guide
The
Île du Tonnerre
is a new zone in 5.2 that is the location of a server-wide War Effort, new factions, and daily quests. However, there's a lot of vanity-related content as well, for players that dislike dailies.
This guide aims to cover the basics of completing your new dailies, but also to highlight all the other things you can do on the island. Since you access more content as you progress through the War Effort, we've also pointed out what things you can do now, and what things you'll have to wait a few weeks on.
Unlike factions tied to MoP's launch, the factions on the
Île du Tonnerre
are not tied to getting raid-quality gear or unlocking dailies for other factions. While you can complete twelve dailies a day, it's possible to have fun on
Île du Tonnerre
without doing any dailies and simply enjoying the other content, such as killing rare spawns, getting
<Name> Stormbreaker
for completing achievements, and farming troll transmog gear.

Blizzard Dev Notes, Patch 5.0.5 Hotfixes
Earlier this week, the Blizzard Community Team shared notes from weekly developer meetings to fansites! While this is a partial transcript as not all questions and answers can be shared with the public, there's a ton of useful information covering a wide breadth of topics and it's a neat to see what's discussed at dev meetings.

New Mists of Pandaria Quests Reveal A Legendary Questline
We just did a massive update for quests and NPCs from the Mists of Pandaria beta! There were
over two hundred new quests and thousands of NPCs added to the database
this afternoon.

Speaking of quests, remember
Souffle du prince noir
which we datamined?
Well, we just found its quest source.
Apparently running the Black Market Auction House wasn't enough; it looks like Wrathion is tied to some legendary quests in Mists of Pandaria--possibly for a new weapon. We think these datamined quests and items are for a new type of legendary that any class can collect--similar to how the Quel'Delar questline from Wrath had an epic questline and weapon reward for all classes and specs.
It's possible that a new legendary will increase your ilvl of a current weapon (similar to the new
Valor Point

Souffle du prince noir
and add a buff to make it unique. When we datamined legendary items a few days ago, we also found these three buffs:

Mists of Pandaria: Jade Forest Quest Preview
La forêt de Jade
has undergone an extensive revision since we first previewed it, to better demonstrate the Alliance and Horde conflict. This zone is the first zone players will reach upon questing in Pandaria. Unlike past expansions, there are not two options for starting zones.
Players will acquaint themselves with Pandaren culture, as well as the Jinyu and Hozen. The Alliance will trace Anduin Wrynn's disappearance, and both sides will have a tragic clash by the
Temple du Serpent de jade
, a new 5-player dungeon. Players will also have to return to The Jade Forest at 90 to train with

Nimble Fingers: A Guide to Acquiring Fangs of the Father
Rogues get a new legendary set in 4.3--perhaps to deal with all the melee balance problems in Firelands! Like the means of acquiring
Courroux du dragon, le Repos de Tarecgosa
, rogues will obtain this legendary through a series of quests interspersed with looting items from raid encounters. While completing the entire quest series does require a raid, there's a ton of great solo content at the start, such as exciting high-stakes stealth missions.
For background: check out the quest series in Badlands covering Rheastrasza, the ambitious red dragon who acquired a black dragon egg and magically purified it, cleansing it of the Black Dragonflight’s corruption. This questline covers the fate of the purified egg and introduces the enigmatic Black Prince, Wrathion--in a storyline taking the enterprising rogue to Dragon Soul, Karazhan, Ravenholdt Manor, and much more in the process.
In this guide, I've provided a list of all the quests--their objectives, dialogue descriptions, and relevant notes and tips to help you get through each step faster! Questing in Cataclysm: The Best Quests and Rewards
With a bit of a break this holiday weekend, it's time for an old-fashioned quirky guide--this time on quests and fun quest rewards.
Around a year ago, the revamped 1-60 content was unveiled, providing players with a fresh way to complete Loremaster! With 4.3 on the horizon, take some time before the chaos starts up again to check out some of the following quests. From silly to serious, you'll learn a bit about Azeroth's lore and collect some unique rewards along the way.

BlizzCon 2011: Exclusive Interview with Dave Kosak, WoW Lead Quest Designer
Saturday afternoon, I was fortunate enough to get a one-on-one interview with Dave Kosak, WoW Lead Quest Designer, before his Lore and Story Q&A.
