Xavius

Other highlights of what was released this week include:

On this day, the NDA for Blizzard interviews regarding patch 4.3 was finally released, so we got to learn about the dungeons of that patch! 4.3 is the Hour of Twilight patch, which includes the
L’Âme des dragons
raid, and three new dungeons! In an
interview with Joystiq (now assumed by Engadget)
, Tom Chilton talks about how the story will progress and how players will finally meet Deathwing, and wrap up the story of Cataclysm.
The first instance is called
La Fin des temps
, and it sends players into the future to see what Deathwing's victory means.End Time shows a grim future for Azeroth, where Deathwing isn't stopped by the Demon Soul. Going through the ruins of the dragonshrines in Dragonblight, players meet the future versions of famous lore characters that are struggling with Deathwing's victory.
The second instance is called
Puits d’éternité
, where players go back in time and obtain the Demon Soul, the only item capable of destroying Deathwing.
In this instance, you travel back to the past, all the way to the end of the War of the Ancients, and meet lore characters such as Mannoroth and Queen Azshara herself.
The third and final instance is called
L’Heure du Crépuscule
, where players escort Thrall to Wyrmrest Temple and the battle begins.
In the Hour of Twilight, you're back to the present, and your group helps Thrall escort the Demon Soul all the way to Wyrmrest Temple, where the assault on Deathwing can finally begin.
After going through all these dungeons, player arrive into the Dragon Soul raid, where you start chasing Deathwing from Wyrmrest Temple and eventually defeating him in the Maelstrom.
You can check out Tom Chilton's interview, as well as more details of the 4.3 dungeons and Dragon Soul itself, here!

Onxyia returns!
As part of the celebration of WoW's 5 year anniversary,
Repaire d’Onyxia
has been revamped as a level 80 raid!
Her original loot has been updated for WotLK levels, and included replicas of Tier 2 helms, revamped weapons that were originally Vanilla drops, such as
Vis'kag le Saigneur noirci
, and a new version of
Quel'Serrar
,
Quel'Serrar resplendissante
, that had it's original quest removed.
A new drop specially from this version is the rare mount
Rênes de drake onyxien
, a drake mount made to look just like Onyxia herself!
The vanilla meme
Onyxia Wipe Animation
got achievements referencing it:
Les dragonnets ! Butez-les ! (10 joueurs)
, and
Plus de dots ! (10 joueurs)
.
Another very popular meme back in Vanilla, complaining that Onyxia is somehow using her Deep Breath ability more often, also got an achievement referencing it,
Elle inspire plus profondément (10 joueurs)
.
The original version of Onyxia's Lair was removed from the game. Players who did kill the original, level 60 version of Onyxia before it's removal obtained the Feat of Strength
.

No quarter! Rejoice, everyone, fer th' first annual
Jour des pirates
event happened on this day!
Based on the popular
International Talk Like a Pirate Day
holiday, that happens every year on September 19th, now you can become a honorary pirate for a day!
Capitaine de l’effroi DeMeza
will appear in Booty Bay, and if you share a drink with her, you'll officially become a pirate with the achievement
Le butin du capitaine
!
Although this is a very small event, it did evolve over the years. Since then, you can defeat the rare shark
Vieux L’ouïe
and obtain the toy
Livre d'insultes légèrement mâchouillé
, which allows you to swear just like a pirate! Another new addition is
Petey
, sold by DeMeza, which summons Petey the Parrot to sit right by your shoulder.
If this is not enough piracy for you, you can download the addon
Yarrr
, which gives you more pirate swears!

Lament of the Highborne gains a official trailer!
The sad song that talks of the dirge of the Elven Races now has a trailer version, sung by Sylvanas Windrunner. The song was originally revealed during a quest chain in
Bois des Chants éternels
, that starts with
Le collier de la dame
. This short quest chain brings you to Sylvanas herself in Undercity. After completing the event,
and witnessing Sylvanas sing the song
, you can obtain the lyrics in form of
La complainte des Bien-nés
.
The item
Boîte à musique de Sylvanas
, one of the rewards you get after obtaining a
Deuillelombre
, summons banshees that sing this song.
The trailer itself shows Sylvanas as a high elf, and the suffering The Lich King inflicted upon her.
You can watch the trailer here
.
How have you fared into the Emerald Nightmare? Do you have any stories including the Cataclysm Caverns of Time dungeons? Did you cry during the trailer of Lament of the Highborne? (I did, don't judge me!)
