In preparation for Battle for Azeroth, we've updated all of our profession guides for the latest expansion! There are new recipes to collect, the Scrapper system, and BoP profession perks.
Scrapper
The Scrapper, a system that lets you break down any gear, not just crafted gear, into crafting reagents. The materials you get depend on which profession can craft items for the itemslot that you are scrapping.

BoP Profession Perks
A notable addition to professions in BFA is the presence of BoP-specific perks. These do not provide sizable combat benefits, such as the original profession perks years ago, but add some interest to utility and Battle for Azeroth missions.
Alchemy-only perks:

Alchemists can craft the BoP Champion Equipment

Alchemists receive increased duration on effects of elixirs and flasks that they know how to make.
Blacksmith-only perks:
Blacksmiths can create epic BoP plate armor, up to ilvl 385.
BoP Utility:

- When crafting blacksmithing armor or weapons, there's a chance it will be given the "Indestructible" property. Allows the user to repair all their equipment in an instant. (1 Hour Cooldown)
Blacksmiths can craft several BoP Champion Equipment.
