When does Mythic raiding start?
Sep 12 for EU // Sep 11 for NA
What should I be doing before Mythic raiding opens?
The amount of characters required is dependant on how hardcore your guild is. Method requires 3-4 characters a min but that's for a world first level. More casual guilds should stick to 1 or 2.
The 2 most important things before mythic raids are the following:
Farming Azerite Power: This is to increase your neck level. These levels will increase its Ilvl and along with that of course the secondary stats and stamina it gives. And it will allow you to use azerite traits inside your 3 azerite armour pieces. These traits are a good dps increase so getting as many traits are possible before progress is optimal. There is no official number yet on what would be achievable before mythic week however.
Farming rep with the faction “
Champions of Azeroth
:” Reaching Normal/Honoured/Revered/Exalted will reward you with a quest at Magni Bronzebeard. This quest will give you 15 ilvl for free on your neck (so overall 45 when reaching Revered ) This is of course a big stat and stamina gain. Do note that these 45 ilvls do not impact azerite traits, only the ilvl. At the moment, we believe you are NOT able to achieve Exalted before Mythic. So farming Revered rep is very optimal and “easy” to achieve.
What are the biggest changes to gearing and loot for raiding?
Masterloot being gone makes it so that top end guilds receive a lot less value in terms of running split heroic raids. In previous expansions, guilds would run 30 man groups and assign all loot to 3-5 characters. This is now out of the window, making it more important for raiders to keep our alts up to date in terms as azerite. This makes gearing characters you want to use for progress more of a gamble.
What do we know so far about Uldir?
Uldir located in Nazmir and has 8 bosses, with G’huun being the final boss of the tier.
The first 2 bosses are required to be cleared, then next 3 bosses are free of choice on which you want to clear. After that it's Zul to open up Mythrax, and then G’huun becomes available once those are cleared.
During Legion we saw Mythic raids take 17 hours to clear for Emerald Nightmare up to several weeks for other raids. How do you expect Uldir to feel compared to Legion raids?
Everything comes down to tuning. First tiers in expansions never last too long. Highmaul in WoD took about 2-3 days and of course Emerald Nightmare took only 17 hours.
I don’t expect the first tier to take too long. However it is the first tier without split heroics, this will likely impact guilds in terms of being able to really gear up. So who knows, maybe if they tune bosses the same way as they have done in Warlords and Legion, players might be relatively undergeared and this first raid tier may be extremely hard. Only time can tell.
Have you seen any interesting new boss mechanics and encounters during Uldir Raid Testing?
G’huun looks very interesting. The mechanics with the orbs and having to bring them to the panels is very interesting (and scary) at the same time, as its a main mechanic of the fight. Blizzard has to be extremely careful with how powerful some classes could be at this, as it could become a class stack fiesta based on the mechanics. Other than that, Zul looks interesting to play, Vectic and Fetid will be number checks mostly.
How important is running Mythic+ dungeons if you want to be a Mythic Raider?
This is very much going to depend on Blizzard. M+ gets released during Heroic week, this means it's another way of us farming gear outside of clearing the raid a couple of times. However during Legion, they capped the gear you could get from M+ on normal ilvl that drops from the raid. This cap was removed during Mythic week. If this cap ends up being there it won’t be too impactful outside of farming trinkets and better stats.
The biggest use for M+ during Heroic week launch will be the amount of azerite it will reward - boosting keys could be a very effective way of farming. We might see people who are sitting (e.g. not in for the fight) for a certain boss instead blast M+ during the time. Then, when they are needed for the next boss they will be better geared, this is a good use of their time. This could be extremely important for bosses that have a heavy DPS check, or for bosses that require a certain comp.
Top 5 Tips for Leveling in BFA
Level in a group.
its more fun and also more effective. Solo leveling is the worst of all. Even a 5 man group is way more effective then solo.
Have correct gear
For example mail and leather users can buy crafted legendaries that give insane mobility.
Secreto de Sephuz
is also really nice. Being high ilvl will make you oneshot mobs during early levels. Even being 220 ilvl is a big difference for the first couple of zones. You can get 210 items extremely easy from the current Darkshore world quests.
Buying consumables is very useful.
Think
Poción de soplo aéreo
, Invis pots , Flasks, Food ,
Pistobotas
,
Kit de parapente goblin
s etc. These will be useful for leveling, Mythic dungeons and M+
Addons.
Azeroth Auto Pilot
will show you were to go. And AutoTurnIn is very useful for things like auto sharing quests in group. This will make it less effort and is extremely effective.
5% xp gem.
Jewelcrafters can make a 5% XP gem (
Rubelita natatoria
- you can only have 1 equipped at all times ). With this have everyone in your group get mining, And 1 person jewel crafting. Since mine notes are personal everyone can mine it. Trade the ore to the jewelcrafter and get XP gems rolling in your group.
