Zuldazar, capital city of the Zandalari Trolls, is located in Zandalar, and within the city you will find The Terrace of the Speakers, a place where varying troll factions from all across Azeroth come to share information and purchase goods. Wandering through the Terrace we come across many familiar Tribes that you may have encountered in your past adventures--including hostile ones like the Amani and Sandfury. There are other tribes located in Zuldazar but in this post we will be focusing on those located in the Terrace of the Speakers.
Some of these tribes will be more known than others but we will talk about where each tribe is from and what they're famous for.

Amani
The Amani Tribe has a very long and vast history. However the Amani Tribe that is located in the Terrace of the Speakers mostly seem to focus on their time during Zul'Aman. You can see they use the Eagle Loa to represent them based on their banners. There are also statues of Zul'jin located throughout their subsection, as well as many
Kriegsbär der Amani
. This mount was one of the rewards in the original Zul'Aman raid and obtained by releasing the Amani prisoners before they were sacrificed. Later on when Blizzard re-released Zul'Aman as a dungeon, they added a different color variant of the Amani Warbear. In the back of this subsection you will find the Disciples of the Amani, each representing one of the Loa God Bosses that you fought in Zul'Aman;
Nalorakk
the Bear,
Akil'zon
the Eagle,
Jan'alai
the Dragonhawk, and
Halazzi
the Lynx. The Amani are hostile to the Horde, which makes sense based on their history with Zul'jin and our time killing them in Zul'Aman! You will need to acquire some of their heads in the quest
Abschreckung
and face off against their Disciples in
Strafaktion in Tal'aman
.
Farraki aka Sandfury
We mostly know of the Sandfury Tribe from our adventures through the dungeon
Zul'Farrak
. Their banners represent the Hydra Loa, and they continue to use basilisks as their primary mount of choice. The final boss of Zul'Farrak was
Gahz'rilla
the Hydra Loa God that they worship and continue to do so even after we killed it in
Zul'Farrak
. You can see a familiar gong and pool located in this subsection as well. We eventually learn that the Farraki Tribe is causing trouble and that you need to "put them in their place". You will need to acquire some of their heads in the quest
Abschreckung
, and their Axe Throwers still run away in fear at low health. You will also need to bang the gong and summon the hydra for
Strafaktion in Tal'farrak
.
Frostmane
The Frostmane Tribe are Ice Trolls mainly found in Dun Morogh. These were likely some of the first enemies you fought when you started your adventure as a Dwarf. Frostmane Tribe left the main tribe of the Drakkari in Northrend and eventually came to settle down in Dun Morogh. During Mists of Pandaria we found out an agent of Zandalar has infiltrated Dun Morogh and rallied the Frostmane trolls. At Varian's request, Moira will lead her personal guard against them once the king's champions have stopped the magical storm protecting Shimmer Ridge.
Winterax
The Winterax Tribe once inhabited the Winterax Hold located in Alterac Valley. However due to the conflicts between the Alliance and Horde they eventually left their home. In original WoW, several Alterac Valley quests covered Korrak, the leader of the Winterax, like
Die Legende von Korrak
. It wasn't until much later during our adventures through Zul'Drak, specifically in
Das Amphitheater der Agonie: Korrak der Blutrünstige!
, when we meet Korrak again. Since defeating him we haven't seen much of the Winterax.
Bloodscalp
One of many tribes that split themselves off from the Gurubashi Empire after the defeat of Hakkar, the Bloodscalp Tribe moved far West of Zul'Gurub, across the river. The Bloodscalp Tribe can be easily spotted apart from the other Troll Tribes located in Stranglethorn Vale due to their bright red hair, which matches well with the name of their tribe.
Skullsplitter
Another tribe that split off from the Gurubashi Empire was the Skullsplitter Tribe. After the fall of Hakkar, the Skullsplitters moved south of Zul'Gurub and came to inhabit the area known now as Zul'Mamwe. Much like the other tribes located in Stranglethorn Vale, the Skullsplitters can also be spotted from afar based on their deep blue colored hair.
Smolderthorn
Players first encounter the Smolderthorn in either Burning Steppes or Lower Blackrock Spire. The leader of the Smolderthorn, located in Lower Blackrock Spire, is
Kriegsmeister Voone
, who joined forces with Warchief Rend Blackhand of the dark Horde. Another known Smolderthorn enemy is
Schattenjägerin Vosh'gajin
, known for her powerful shadow magic.
Vilebranch
The Vilebranch are a tribe of trolls that had split themselves off from the Amani Empire and returned to their homeland of the Hinterlands. The Vilebranch had aided the Horde during the Second War under the leadership of Zul'jin, however due to the defeat of the Horde and the disappearance of Zul'jin shortly after, the Vilebranch Tribe came to loathe the Horde. Now they remain in the Hinterlands, and due to their vast numbers, show no signs of weakening. In
Dunkle Gefäße
we learn they used to drink the blood of Hakkar, but now drink the blood of Shadra, the spider loa.
Shatterspear
Shatterspear were one of many tribes that split off from the Gurubashi Empire upon the defeat of Hakkar. Many of the tribes stayed in their lands of Stranglethron Vale and in turn began to fight among each other for land. The Shatterspear however moved as far away from their home as possible to Darkshore. The Shatterspear seemed to just want to keep to themselves, and in-game they were not hostile. You may remember them as the "dancing troll village," a hard-to-reach village in Darkshore full of friendly celebrating trolls. The elves had no problems with them being there since they bothered no one and kept to themselves. However after the Cataclysm, a tunnel opened up which made the village easier to reach. Eventually Garrosh Hellscream found them and they became part of the Horde. However in doing so, he also encouraged them to attack the Night Elves, which in turn led to an elven counterattack. You can experience these events in-game via
Die Eindringlinge der Splitterspeere
.
Mossflayer
The Mossflayer Tribe is one that has suffered much. The Mossflayers took to calling the Eastern Plaguelands as their home. Due to their proximity to Lordaeron, the Humans tried to drive them off but the Mossflayers would not give up. Eventually the plague began to spread throughout the human cities and the nearby lands. The Mossflayers thought this plague only changed humans into Undead, so they felt safe..until they began to see that this plague not only affected the humans, but all life. Plants decayed and the animals became diseased. Food became scarce and eventually a Lich found the Mossflayers, corrupted one, who then infected the rest of the tribe. You can find the Mossflayer in the
Aus dem Ziggurat
quest. Prior to Cataclysm, the quest
Hameyas Bitte
explained how the Mossflayers infected each other as well.
Firetree
Formally part of the Amani Empire, the Firetree Tribe are found in Blackrock Spire. Along with the Smolderthorn Tribe, the Firetree Tribe also joined the False Horde aka Dark Horde in aiding the Black Dragonflight. Not too much else is known of the Firetree Tribe.
Witherbark
The Witherbarks are another tribe of Forest Trolls that joined forces with the Horde under Zul'jin in the Second War. After their defeat, the Witherbark returned to their homelands of Hinterlands and Arathi Highlands. During Legion, the Witherbark attacked Stromgarde in the Death Knight campaign (
Das verfallene Königreich
). You fight against them in your search for one of the new four horsemen.
Revantusk
The Revantusk Tribe are a small tribe of forest trolls who also joined during the Second War and in turn were nearly wiped out. Unlike many of the other forest trolls who fought in the wars, they detested the Horde afterwards, seeing them as weak and disjointed. When Thrall began to gather up allies for the new Horde and spoke of his goals, the Revantusk thought them to be noble. The Revantusk joined forces with Thrall's Horde and due to this plus their small tribe size, the other trolls in the Hinterlands saw them as weak and now see them as an enemy. You can find the Revantusk in the eastern Hinterlands and start questing for them via
Das Dorf der Bruchhauer
.
Drakkari
The Drakkari are a large tribe of Ice Trolls, mainly located in Northrend. Over time, tthe Drakkari have had some smaller groups of trolls separate themselves from the main tribe to create new, smaller tribes. The Drakkari capital is located in
Gundrak
, a playable dungeon added in Wrath of the Lich King. The Drakkari played a large part during the Wrath of the Lich King, as the minions of the Lich King began to attack their lands after their stronghold of
Feste Drak'Tharon
fell, and the only way that they were able to fight back was to spill the blood of their Loa Gods which was extremely potent. Perhaps these acts are also what drove their prophets to madness. You can learn more about the Drakkari through questing in
Grizzlyhügel
and
Zul'Drak
.
Shadowtooth
Seeing the Shadowtooth Tribe in the Terrace of the Speakers was surprising. It was thought that this tribe was wiped out during the Battle for Mount Hyjal in Warcraft 3. This tribe of trolls is also the only known troll tribe to be referred to as "Dark Trolls".
Other Troll Tribes NOT Currently located at the Terrace of Speakers
Since this is an early look at this location, I did notice while writing this that there were a few tribes that I could not locate or were simply either left out of this area or were purposely not allowed to be here.
Gurubashi - The Gurubashi were located walking around in the Zuldazar Harbor but only seen as "Thugs". There was no Gurubashi Speaker at least at the time of this article. The Zandalari periodically refer to the Gurubashi in disparaging ways and dislike their behavior in Zul'Gurub. We later find some Gurubashi mind-controlled as slaves by Vol'jamba, even though Zandalari forbid the use of slaves.
