The
new Community UI
release, so far, has divided people on whether they like it or not. Although the Community part of the UI has received overall praise among the community, people are noticing that, for the Guild UI, several features are either really buggy or just flat out missing from the UI.
Luckily, you can still see the old Guild! The command
/guildroster
can be used to bring up the old Guild interface.
The main complaint against the new Guild UI is that you can no longer customize ranks. With the new UI, only Officers can edit anything within the guild. That is, for something as simple as the ability to edit public notes, you're also enabling potential dangerous options like access to officer channels and the possibility to edit guild info. Thankfully, with the old interface, you're still able to customize each rank to whatever permissions you need.
Other complaints currently happening within the community system include the 1000 member limit, the region restriction (US and EU can't access the same communities), the faction restrictions for in-game communities (in-game communities works like guilds, you'll need to enter individually with each character, and those are also restricted to Horde or Alliance-only communities), and the 200-character message limit for community chat.
