Does not affect gold acquired upon opening a Dragon Racer's Purse.

Edit: Rogues using Pick Pocket on mobs also gets the bonus gold.

However, it does increase the 'bonus gold' received from doing the The Field of Ferocity Redux world quests.

EDIT: I don't get why this was downvoted. The Field of Ferocity Redux world quest always gives 600 gold REGARDLESS of what the listed reward is. So if the reward for the WQ is 1000 gold, you will receive 1600 gold. If the reward is a weapon, you get the weapon plus 600 gold. The 600 gold is ALSO increased by the magpies buff.

Says +100% but seems more like +200%? 600ish WQs giving 1800 sometimes 2k+ gold

EDIT: seems to have been hotfixed (18/10) and now its actually 100%

Tooltip says it gives 100% bonus, but it's actually calculating like this:

(Base Amount + (200% of Base Amount)) = Reward

For example, if a WQ awards 500g, it's actually giving you 500 + 1000, so 1500 total.

Is this bugged? This buff worked for like the first 2 weeks and ever since that I'll see the buff as the chosen buff on the dreamsurge but I don't have a buff on my character & thus it isn't rewarding the extra gold.

Sadly, hotfixed this week, so it now gives the double gold, as intended

What's up with this buff since 10.2? I finished the climbing quest and got the reward then I did Field of Ferocity and only got about 1600g then the buff completely changed to something else.

People will see "Gain 3 centimeters of extra mob aggro radius" and "Turn world quests into 1200-1600 gold farms" and still vote for the first option, smh

This buff is a bit of a pitfall when it comes to gold farming consistently. The point is that it'll have to overlap properly for it to be worthwhile:

For starters, the affected zone needs gold world quests. This is not really rare in itself, but if there aren't, no gains.
Then you must catch the buff: this means you'll have to track it one way or another and it's easy to miss a half hour.
Lastly, if you do intend to get gains on multiple characters, you have only half hour per cycle to get stuff done which is limited.

If anything, it's a nice bonus, but I'd look elsewhere for consistent methods.

Please stop doing the Field of Ferocity quests DURING the magpies buff, every one you do costs everyone else 1600g since we need to rush alts to do the world quest and the time you're wasting is precious.
If you want the gold, do the quests BEFORE the buff comes up, then you're not only not wasting your own time but you're also not wasting everyone else's.
