For my best attempts, I did this:

There's nothing mentioned for the "Jump" keybind (Spacebar by default), but using it followed by 喷发 leads to faster starts compared to only gliding forward + Dashing. I was using a second Dash as soon as available and then tried to avoid touching the gale wind behind the last ring in the canyon because you'll waste several seconds while losing control from being catapulted upwards.

To have my cooldown ready near the gates, I won't use another Dash while getting closer to Blackrock Mountain. I use the boost of another gale wind and grab the green Vigor sphere. Because being too fast within the mountain's winding corridors (IMHO the most tricky part of this race with many chances to ruin your timing), for the only time in the whole race I'm using 重石急停 close to the gates to slow down completely and immediately Dash with 喷发 (without touching the ground) to have a nice pace to get me through the mountain. When you feel safe, you can use another Dash inside but make sure to have 喷发 ready for the exit.

The rest of the race is all about using the gale winds and grabbing the available Vigor spheres to Dash on cooldown with one exception: When you temporarily leave the Ruins of Thaurissian and enter the Flame Crest area, there is a tight S-curve. You don't want to be too fast when going in, so keep your 喷发 for the end of this short passage.

This completely messes up my UI by moving my quest log right over to the left edge of the screen. Doing a reload before the flight doesn't help.

It must do something different with the UI change for this because no other vehicles or pet battle shift my UI about.

It's odd that it moves something none of my addons modifies.

Is this quest necessary ? I suck at these and cant figure out how to raise up when get to low

It feels weird to me that the area around Blackrock Mountain is a race track now.

Back in the day this used to be a place of mystery, where you would fight your way through Blackrock Depths if you could find a capable group; and that instance was unbelievably huge. I remember spending more than one night there.

Seeing it used as a race track just feels weird, but that is probably only me. I wonder what the people think who originally designed this area.

I have tried for weeks to run this quest. It looks like it's loading and then I'm back to the Daycare and the blue exclamation is still there.
Anyone else experiencing this?

What I want to know is why this one is always up way more than the others? Also the Practice makes Perfect is annoying - why would I want to do this again for absolutely nothing?

If you have issue with screen loading when you start quest - you need to disable ALL addons that you have.

I just accepted this quest not knowing about the addon issue, and the NPC proceeded to teleport me into the middle of the ocean where I had to hearth back to avoid fatigue death.

Tried again after disabling my addons, it did the same thing.

I think I just figured it out.

In addition to disabling addons, make sure you are NOT MOUNTED while picking up and starting the quest. This ported me directly to the race starting area in whelp form.

I think perhaps being mounted prevents the switch to whelp form.

Sadly for me, disabling all addons and dismounting is not working. I am getting a loading screen for Eastern Kingdoms, then it immediately reloads Valdrakken. If I don't move away from the npc immediately, it reloads once more and drops me in the water outside the Azure Span, in fatigue range. It is happening both with regular flying and skyriding

It seems to be even more broken for me. Not only will it randomly teleport me to the ocean every other try (Even after disabling all addons, closing the game and relaunching). It teleports me without actually picking up the quest. So even when I complete it... it just teleports me back to the quest NPC offering me the same quest as if I hadn't picked it up in the first place.

Worked only after I disabled all addons, relaunched the game and acceped the quest dismounted. Accepting it while mounted would prompt the bug. Hope it helps someone!

Anyone that is struggling with this and getting multiple loading screens in quick succession or just getting teleported to a random location. You need to make sure that you have completed the quest that rewards you with Rusziona as a battle pet, after this, you are able to partake in the daily.
