Objective of the timed event at Heroic mode of Culling of Stratholme. At our first successful event he droped the Reins of the Bronze Drake (

) and of course an Emblem of Heroism

The timed event is 30 minutes, but to which boss? Chrono-lord or Mal'ganis?
评论来自
mrgamer
timed event is 25minutes
you have 25 minutes to wipe the 10 waves, talk to arthas, kill the dragons, kill 3 bosses, get to the "uncontaminated" stratholme part

Ran this place on heroic for the first time today and actually killed Mal'ganis with a minute left on the timer. We knew that there was a bonus boss but weren't sure where it spawned and that it would be there before Mal'ganis. One party member claimed to have seen it to the left side of the path, which splits also to Mal'ganis's area on the right, just after we looted the chest. But alas, we did not kill him!
Do this boss before Mal'Ganis!
Overall it really wasn't very hard to complete the event in the time we did. During the waves you need to be on your toes and listen/watch for spawn locations to get there fastest. Other than that you're really at Arthas's mercy as he can move pretty slow through some areas. Hopefully by the time you get to the "zombie alley", after the 3rd boss, you will have enough time to take them at a safe pace. We pulled a few packs together to speed it up as we had ~5 minutes left at the start of the alley. We are geared in some old high level 70 epics and some new heroic/normal/crafted gear.

I'm curious, do you only need to pull him within the alotted time limit?

Just killed the guy with around 2min left, cake. Lost the dragon tho, but I guess we can run it to all of us :)

It's not cake whatsoever, but the more you run this instance the easier it will become. Keep trying!
You can and should engage this boss directly after the undead gauntlet before you do Mal'ganis.
It is an easy boss once you manage to engage him in time. He will drop one mount that is rolled out like any other loot.
Good luck.

It's very possible to get the timed run down, many people have completed it in blues / greens.
Important things to remeber are;
Running to where the waves spawn, not waiting for them to come.
Engaging the boss as soon as your healer has sufficient mana.
Don't waste time, Talk to Arthas straight away.
Alot of people tend to rush the last say 6 or so minutes leading up to the Corruptor, take it quickly but don't rush - rushing gets you killed. Keep a moderately-fast pace, and you will make it.

Personally I think if you engage him, that should be enough to stop him from walking through the portal. How can he even continue corrupting the bronze dragon when he's fighting 5 people?

Managed to complete this instance on a timed schedule, aswell as obtaining the mount on the 29. of November, 2008.
The group we used was as following:
Holy Priest
Elemental (haste-stacking) Shaman
Beast-mastery hunter
Protection Paladin tank
Feral Druid
The instance was literally &*!@ easy with this group, and we had no downtime and / or wipes on any of the bosses - and so we managed to kill the Infinite Corruptor with 5 minutes overtime, then proceed onto Mal'Ganis.
Chose your groups carefully, and look into the benefits from each class, then you are absolutely certain you might get an opportunity to have this mount fill a spot in your 'Pet' label.
Most of the bosses were seemingly tank&spank bosses, and so we just rushed throughout all of it.
Good luck!

Chronalis
Just done this boss, got him to 1% hp and he disappeared through the portal. I'd suggest moving him away from the portal so that you can continue dps while he attempts to walk.
He's just a normal tank and spank boss.

My guild recently killed every boss in Stratholme, with 2 minutes to spare. This event, though at first very technical and kind of intimidating, is not at all hard. It just requires a fast paced sort of play.
Our group consisted of a Protection Paladin, Elemental Shaman, Mutaliate Rogue, Retribution Paladin, and a Holy Priest.
My words of advice, would be to over pull, especially when your group and Arthas are making the push after the third boss. Don't overdo yourself, but if you pull one at a time you'll waste serveral minutes killing them off slowly. Another handy piece of advise, is to not loot Mal'Ganis untill after you've downed the Drake boss.
Also, during the tavern, target the hunters first. They deal a considerablely large amount of damage compared to the other two.

all I can say
bring protection paladin
3 aoe
and healer
:)
Percentage of getting mount is 100%
Once again prot palas are the best ;)
at least for fast runs in HC :)

This as mentioned alot above make sure you do him first. once that timer runs out he leaves with the corrupted time keeper. my group got to him and we barely just killed him. mount dropped and amazingly I won it. but the mob isn't tough but he takes alot of dmg before dieing so when you engage him you have to burn him fast.

You also need a bit of luck to kill him, depending on the wave spawn points. In our one try all waves have spawned in furthermost locations and we have spent too much time to run to them and though we have reached him, the timer ended when he was at 55% and he simply walked out of his portal.
On the other day with the exactly same group, we were more lucky with the waves, even three of them consequently spawned at the same place, And on that day, we killed him with 4 minutes overtime, Shame that I lost the roll on drake though.
The group consisted of
1 Prot Warr
1 Resto Druid
1 Ret Pala
1 Enhance Shammy
1 Fire Mage

An easy event as long as everyone is in for it and your group knows what do to and can dish out the damage.
One more note is that eventhough you have managed to get to him and engaged him, he has to be killed before the timer runs out or he will walk toward his portal and disapear.
He is, as said, tank and spank and sometimes throws a stacking DoT on a randomtarget, dealing percental damage once every few second, nothing serious unless one person gets two or more stacks. You'll need on average 3 to 5 minutes to take him down, depending on your dpsers.
After the third boss you should only talk to Arthas once so he can open the bookcase door for you, after that you will get to the "gauntlet"(or "zombie alley"), essentially a rushing with many mobs, you can take about a max of three elites at one time and while Arthas would be nice for the extra dps, he walks to slowly and does not benefit from any movementspeed buffs and thus, will slow you down.

My heroics group just tried this timer for the first time, and we just barely made it to him with about a minute left. No time to kill him - we caught a glimpse of him running out the portal and managed to get a DOT on him before he was out. =/
We realized afterward that we wasted a lot of time in the fiery gauntlet after the third boss. We single-pulled up until the "rest" period that Arthas gives you, then we realized we weren't going to be on time and we started chain pulling.
My suggestion to anyone would be to chain pull that whole gauntlet. It's one or two elites at a time with a LOT of AoE-able zombies, so grab the elites two or three at a time and get them down fast. AoE the zombies. Move through quick. This is the place where you can gain some valuable time.

I run this every day with friends of mine. Our set up is me a ret paladin, A protection paladin, Two mages and a shaman healer. We always blaze through this place because of all the aoe we have (divine storm, 2consecrations,2 holy wraths, blizzard arcane explosion etc.). By the time we kill the boss we usually have 4+minutes left...
Imo this group set up is the best for doing timed runs, you get a TON of AoE and single target dps, bloodlust and stuns (holy wrath.) and kings + wisdom or might....
PS: our shaman is an alchemist and he usually makes us each a elixir... other than that we just do regular self buffs.

Actually the timed event is not that hard as a lot of people say.
We did this with a group like this:
Prot Paladin
Retri Paladin
Mage
Resto Shaman
Blood DK (me)
The paladins did about 2k dps while me and the mage did about 1,5k.
The mage died 2 times and one point the shaman used heroism on trash by a mistake, but we was still able to kill him before the time is gone.
Bringing a paladin tank is defently makes the timed event easyer.
Save time by running into the front at the begining, always run only stop for mana after the bosses, and ofc bring mana potions with your self unless you have a druid or a shadow priest in the team :).
Good luck:)

Pull him far away from the portal and you'll get yourself more time if your timer runs out (if your DPS is good enough ;) ).

Our group just did this two nights ago. We had myself (Resto Druid), a Moonkin Druid, a feral druid tank, a rogue, and a mage. We started off kinda bad because the waves were spawning back and forth as far away from eachother as they could, so we had our doubts that we could complete it. We basically spent no down time, as I have some decent mana regen, and I had 3 innervates at my disposable. We got through the first two bosses with me only having to drink once (right before the second boss). We started the Chrono-Lord with 11 mins left and had everyone stack so he wouldn't rush around so much. I used my tranquility to heal through his first rush and we dps'd him down before he got a 2nd one.
I think the important thing we did was after the Chrono-Lord, we left Arthas behind as we made our way through the gauntlet. It seemed like less elites spawned this way, and we didn't have to wait for his slowness.
Got to the Corruptor with 3 mins left, and burned him down in less than 2. I lucked out and got the drake with an 88 roll.

hello,
I just did the timed event with a me ( as a hunter) dps priest (shadow) dps warrior ( arms ) a pally healer and a warrior dps. first just do the 10 waves not very hard, just don't waste time and go straight to the new group. Talk to arthas right away after the second boss ( it will tike him 30-40 seconds to get to you) then kill some groups and kill third boss ( not very hard either ). Now you get a choise, after arthas opens the bookcase you could wait for arthas and go through the 'zombie all' with arthas but as it is a timed run i would like to advice that you just kill every one in the zombie ally without waiting for arthas. Because of this we just made it and i got my drake. After this you can walk back through the ally ( killing all monsters again because spawn rate is very high) and talk to Arthas. Then you can still kill Mal'Ganis. ( so you will be going through the ally 4 times needing to kill all mobs)
I hope this helps

I just followed the armory link that someone posted higher up in reference to the incorrectly listed drop rate (should be 100%) and noticed that the armory listed this boss in both heroic and NON-heroic strath. Is this an error in the armory or WoWhead?
I've only over done CoS on heroic so I can't confirm.

I can confirm that this mob does not appear in a non-heroic run of CoT : the culling of stratholme. Even if you do it within the time ( there is no timer in your screen).

and remember u get achieved if u kill this guy within 25 min (like from the start)
then u need to fight with 3 bosses, some undead waves, some drakes and some new undead guys.
then u get to the end and take to the left and if ur lucky and havent wiped or anything, then u can find Infinite Corrupter just to the left^^
Happy farming^^

A good stratagy if you are about to run out of time when you reach him is to pull the infinate corrupter as far back from the portal as you can. That way, if you run out of time, he has to run a long distance to get back to his portal to disappear. Also, this gives the DOTs more time to tick.

I was in a group lastnight that was trying for the Reins of the Bronze Drake. We cleared all the waves in 13 min and killed Salramm the Fleshcrafter on the far side. As we ran to the town hall we meet up with Arthis and talked to him as soon as he spawned at the town hall. He started his script in the town hall and was just about to walk over and smack the guy, when some zombies ran in and he agroed them. After the zombies where dead Arthis did not finish his script.
So just a friendly FYI do not let Arthis agro anything in the town hall before he finishs his script or you can not finish culling of stratholme.

This probably gonna get downgraded but I just have to say it's a real shame that blizzard doesn't make a bugless stratholme. The vanilla stratholme also suffered from some script bugs, making it impossible to continue. A shame, because strat is a great place.

Our group was prot warrior, 2 blood DK's, ele shaman(me), and a holy pally.
I died once on the first boss but was able to rez myself and pick back up the dps, other than that no other problems.

Two more time saving tips: (both Arthas related :P)
Try to remember at which points you have to talk to Arthas to carry on the run. At several points he will simply stand still and nothing will happen until you talk to him. Just mouseover him occaisionally and look for the speech bubble cursor.
Secondly, if you're really cutting it close.. In the last section where everything's dead on the run up to Mal'Ganis, you don't need to talk to Arthas at the start to get to the drake boss. As soon as you get into that alleyway you can start chain pulling and power through until you get to the boss. We found this out by accident as we were burning through the place so fast. We didn't realise until after the drake was dead that Arthas was iles back trying to get his breath.
As for the drake itself, it's very easy and very fast to take down. Just burn all cooldowns and go all out. In a decent group with the dps averaging 3k each we took him down in under 50 seconds.

Just did the timed run on my holy pally.
Group consisted of:
Protection Paladin with 29k unbuffed hp, 32k with kings.
Holy Paladin (Me) with 1831 SP unbuffed, 1849 with kings
Unholy Death Knight #1 with 2427 overall DPS
Unholy Death Knight #2 with 2286 overall DPS
Survival Hunter with 1408 overall DPS (I don't know how that happened, as he had 3.6k AP and didn't die once. Probably just that his pet's DPS isn't being included.)
We basically just did all of the tactics mentioned above, such as going to the groups and not waiting with Arthas during the gauntlet when he lets us rest. In the end we made it to the Corrupter with 6 minutes to spare, and downed him in 50 seconds according to my damage meter. Hunter didn't have epic flight so he didn't roll, and second DK won it. Here's hoping I get it next time!
Edited for spelling/grammar corrections and additional info.

I know this is old news, and by now plenty of people have already locked this timed run down, but for those who might find themselves still working towards getting a shot at the mount I thought I would offer up some basic info that has helped me pull off multiple timed runs with various group compositions:
1. Minimize your down time.
It's been said before, but I will say it again here for effect, your #1 priority is maintaining as much continuous action as possible without over taxing your healer or running your mana dependent party members completely dry. In my opinion your tank is going to make or break this run. In addition to knowing this instance inside and out he/she needs to know the limits of your party to avoid getting in over your head while constantly pushing forward.
When I am tanking I will not stop to loot during the initial waves. I actually break contact when I have the last mob down to about 30% health and start heading to where (I hope) the next group is going to spawn. Not a big deal on the surface, but that is how I cut down on some time.
2. Your biggest time suck is Arthas.
Know when you need to interact with him to get him moving forward. He is painfully slow with his theatrics and getting from point-A to point-B so you do not need to wait for everyone to be at full health/mana before talking to him.
The fight with Chrono-Lord Epoch is a perfect example of where I have seen many groups lose valuable time by looting the boss, taking a mana break and then talking to Arthas. As soon as the fight ends you need to talk to Arthas and get him started on opening up the book case. You will have plenty of time to distribute the loot dropped from the boss and eat a 5-course meal while Arthas sashays ahead.
As far as the "final gauntlet" is concerned, I have completed it many times both with and without Arthas in tow and found that his presence doesn't have much impact on how fast we clear the hallway. Honestly, the only time we leave him standing there is when we want to milk the instance for every last drop of reputation by killing the respawns after we down the Infinite Corruptor. If you do not feel you can stay ahead of Arthas in order to control which elite (or groups of elites) you want to pull just leave him behind by NOT talking to him and come back for him later.
3. Minimum level of DPS.
Normally I would not stress too much if we had a party member or two who could not pump out some solid DPS (for sake of argument, let’s say an acceptable minimum would be 1600 DPS), but the only thing you dictate inside Culling of Stratholme is how fast you down mobs. Until you master this timed run the most frustrating aspect, for me at least, was how much time is lost between running back and forth during the initial waves, sitting around waiting for the next wave to begin after downing the first boss and wondering why Arthas insists on flapping his pie hole between encounters.
Depending on the competency of your group and its composition it’s possible to carry weak party members – but this timed run is definitely one of the few WotLK dungeons (with Utgarde Pinnacle taking a close second thanks to that brutal fight leading up to Skadi the Ruthless) where you should not feel bad for demanding a higher level of performance from your party.

I highly recommend having someone who can offheal in your group. Normally when you get to the final gauntlet the tank won't have time to wait around and charge through agroing all trash. All dps with aoe nuke the weak trash and the adds quick.
Its often good to have a shaman in the group for him to save bloodlust/heroism for when you get to the boss, as it will be a mad dash to nuke him down fast.
Also aoe class dps are important. Either a mage, warlock or elemental shaman can help with the trash clearing fast.

A few easy steps to make sure you can get to this boss with enough time to kill him:
1. Have somebody who can track undead. It's not essential, as the yells that go out tell you where to go. It helps you though, in the sense that you do not end up running to one spot, only to see the yell go out that the mobs spawned in a different location, at the other side of the instance. There can be a 4-5 sec delay between the mob spawn, and the yell that goes out, which is why I suggest a form of tracking undead.
2. Have a good healer/tank. Many groups that I've done have failed this, due to the fact that the tank can't pick up mobs correctly (dps aggro's and dies, so lack of dps followed by a need for a res = very time consuming), or a healer can't support the tank, possibly because the healer (or the tank), is undergeared. A healer that doesn't have to drink after each pull (either due to a small mana pool, or due to reasons stated above) should also be preferred .
3. DPS is good, but it's not the most important thing. As others have stated, about 1600-1800 dps or so is needed for this, if all goes right. Having people with beefy aoe's, heroism, or just flat out reasonable gear in your group should be good enough (I don't think greens will cut it. Lv80 H blues are fine, purples are obviously the best choice).
4. Arthas is slow, so take this into consideration. For example, after boss 2, when you run to meet Arthas at the town hall, and talk to him so he can summon the 1st wave of dragonkin, that's a perfect time for mana, rebuffs, and whatever else, since that first conversation takes a good 30 secs or so. The same applies for when he goes from location to location inside the town hall, use it to drink if needed, prepare totems, whatever. And if needed for the gauntlet, don't bother waiting for him, just keep moving. I mean, it's not like the game currently revolves around him or anything...oh, wait.
5. Pull the Corruptor away from the portal, and engage as quickly as possible. Whether this be via sprint, pets, hacks, whatever. It's also very important that when engaged, you proceed to pull him far away from the portal, so if the timer DOES run out, you can possibly finish him off before he can run back in. It usually takes about a minute or so to kill him, if you have decent enough dps. So you should aim to get to him with about 2 minutes left, to be on the safe side.
Oh, and for clarity's sake, remember you should fight him BEFORE Mal'ganis, so do not talk to Arthas once you make it through the gauntlet, just run through Market square (or w/e its called), and get that Corruptor.
Just my 2c.
Oh, and in response to taurenmoo812, I find it more effective to use heroism twice, first on the portly boss#1, and then on the time-consuming boss#3, as the CD for Heroism is up by then, and it kind of makes up for all the time stop/slowing effects that make that fight longer then it should be. In that sense, I would think that it would be more worthwhile to use it on boss#3 then the Corruptor, since the longer that fight drags on with boss#3, the more time stop/slows there will be.

This boss is not going to be removed to the best of my knowledge. This is why:
Blizzard routinely removes mobs that drop rare flavour-loot which would be too common if the encounter is going to be too easy. An example of that is the Armored Amani warbear which required finishing a l 70 timed raid. This event would be too easy with a l 80 raid group.
Lower level mobs that still drop mounts and such often do it because the droprate of the mount is extremely low (Kael'thas' Phoenix, Baron Rivendares Mount etc with droprates of ~1-3%)
The CoS timed run will not be easier after 3.1.

I've run this several times, and only been unsuccessful twice, due to awkward zombie mechanics.
Arguably the best run I've ever had of this involved:
Myself as Tank (Prot Pally)
My Guildmate as Healer (Resto Shammy)
2 Ret Pallies
1 Ele Shammy
With 3 Blessings, 3 Auras, and 8 Totems, this event is a cakewalk. Don't underestimate the power of buffs. :)

instead of pugging it, hoping to win the roll on the drake, you're much better off running it 5 days in a row with the same, dedicated grp of wich you know they can do the event, with time to spare (in case smth goes wrong)
much like grps were doing in ZA with the bear mount
this way, you'll be gaurantedd to get your mount after at least 5 days

This guy is indeed a tank n spank of a boss, experienced both from the healing and tanking sides. The only trick he has is that he tends to hit a lot harder at times than say... Meathook. But it comes so few and far between that tanks simply need to be prepared for it and healers can get the tank back up quickly. In terms of burst damage the Infinite Corruptor has the highest potential of the four bosses, but is probably just as easy as if not easier than Mal'Ganis himself.

So from what im reading do you really need to even take arthas down "zombie Alley"? ive run down it a few times tanking on my pally b4 speaking to arthas. it seems like less mobs and its easier than running with him.
So once he opens the door for you could you and your party just walk on to the timed boss.. come back after and get arthas?

We got this guy down with 3 minutes to spare, i pulled 3600 dps (rapid fire was never down) and we downed him in under a minute, plus with bad internet connection i was offline for half the dungeon, very easy if you know what your doing, take the fight to the mobs dont wait for them to come to you, dont rush it and wipe, if you wipe your guaranteed to fail, and have a good tank who can handle lots of damage if you are strained and half to take on lots of mobs at once in the trash part with the burning buildings.

only thing i can add is to find a good tank that can carry the group
me being a feral tank mistimed an enrage on the dragons spawns
our holy priest got instagibbed cause of that( bad call on my part)
after we killed them i quickly battle rezzed her and innervated her
i really suggest to bring any kind of druid cause battle rez and innervate can save off some precious time
also gauntlet we usually take arthas with us but he is more of pain then help the guy is true leeroy jenkins for sure i usually try to stay ahead and pull 3 packs at once during that gauntlet and arthas sure is a pain and can pull about 2 more lol

Got my drake last night, but just ran this again hoping to get it for either tank or healer, both guildies.
Group was Rogue (me), 3 DKs, and Resto Druid. We'd been moving a little slowly, so we were kind crunched for time, but we were still looking like we were gonna make it. Halfway through the gauntlet, tank missed really aggroing a mob, causing healer to build up enough aggro on it that he died before we could get it off of him once we realized. As a result, we had a dead healer, no way to rez him, and not much time left. We worked our way the rest of the way to the Corruptor hoping that healer could make it back in time, but he was just entering the instance when we arrived, and with under 3 min left, we couldn't wait any more.
Our solution: all three DK's popped Army of the Dead and I blew every CD I had right off the bat. Killed the Corruptor with no heals, no deaths, and 1 min to spare. It was completely and totally epic.
Healer missed out on rolling for the drake, but my tank guildie won the roll. One of the DK dps got ticked and bailed without a word before Mal'ganis, but we 4-maned him anyway. One of the most awesome runs I've been in.

This run will become relatively easy as more and more players "gear up" with Emblem of Conquest items.
Our guild ran this last night only because it was the daily heroic and we were doing Emblem runs. We were not trying to do the timed run. Our tank had never done it before, and one of our new 80's was geared PvP and did less than 1K dps. We reached the Corruptor with about 3 minutes to spare and downed him in about 30 sec. We had a Hunter and Rogue with GearScores of 4200+ and everyone else (except for the new 80) was scored in the high 3's.
I think the most critical time-saving piece of advice is to leave Arthas in your dust once he opens the bookcase, and run as fast as you can to the Corruptor (keep bearing to the left). Down the Corruptor, then take your time finishing the last boss!

For those interested in the lore - my group wiped because of a couple of DC's - on my way back, the timer for the Bronze guy was almost out - I ran to the gate near town hall where you could see the corruptor - he converted the bronze guy into an Infinite Dragonkin, then they both went through the portal.

With Cataclysm geared level 84 Hunter, 89,000 Hps pet has 82250 hps is it possible to solo this heroic now?
Anyone tried this yet?
Thanks!

Do not attempt to solo this at 85 unless you can remove curse or something. The damage is % based so it will still mess you up. Learned the hard way =/

soloed this easily on my 85 fury warrior. the % damage ability is a little tricky to get around, and i popped enraged regen. i have 113k hp and a mixture of pvp blues and heroics. easily soloable probably by all classes

I just tryed soloing this dude on my prot pally and it did not go the way i planed.
The debuff he gives you hit 8% of you max healther every 3 secs...i got him to 10% with 5 stacks on me...40% of 160k is a lot every 3 secs..so earther bring a healer or a dps with you if your a tank.

Soloed this as a blood dk, this fight is more of a dps test to outdamage and/or outheal the percentage debuff, I managed to kill him on the first try when I had 4 stacks of the debuff.
Now I see why ppl say that blood dks are op.

This guy cannot be soloed by an 85 Arms Warrior in heroic dungeon gear. He casts
Corrupting Blight
on you and with all CDs I was only able to get him to about 30% HP, while I was sitting on a 3 stack (32% per 3 seconds) of his debuff.

Well after getting geared enough to solo this fast enough to get to this guy, I had the distinct pleasure of realizing he has another of the "% of your health every x seconds". If you're trying to solo your bronze drake, you're going to need a considerable amount of dps or the ability to heal 40% of you health every 3 seconds.
As an added note, having your tank with minimal stamina if you're going back for achievements would probably make your healer's life a whole lot easier.

Soloable as a 375 Affliction Warlock. Most annoying part is getting to the Corruptor before time runs out...these mobs still hurt a bit in cloth gear. None of the bosses themselves were hard, just the large numbers of mobs. Voidwalker and SB:SoC work well.
Still, managed to grab the drake with a bit of time to spare.
His DoT doesn't really have enough time to stack up for me.
Good luck!

You can solo this very easy as a blood dk

I'm trying to help a guildie with getting the drake. I've done this instance (on heroic) for each guildie I've helped get the drake in the past. For the past week, this bonus boss is not appearing for some reason. We're following
everything
to the tee, getting there before time runs out (with minutes to spare), not talking to Arthas until we get to bonus boss (who isn't there). Anyone else having this issue? I put in a ticket about it, but just wondering if there's anything I'm overlooking or if anyone else is going thru issues in this instance as well?

If you're attempting to solo this at 85, unless you are able to remove the curse he places on you, you will likely find this a waste of half an hour.
I myself managed to get to Infinite Corrupter with 5 minutes to spare only to find myself raped by the stack-able curse which (even with my paladin's desperate healing) harshly ended my dreams of obtaining my bronze drake.
So my advice is to bring a friend with you, making sure that one of you can either heal or remove the curse. The fight itself is not hard otherwise.

Just soloed the whole place on my Frost DK. I have ilvl 390 with full S11 PvP gear. Was a walk in the park because I could spam HB for a ton of dmg and so the trash and the gauntlet where super easy.
The Corruptor was no problem either because he was down when I had 1 stack (did 25k dps). The most important part about this boss is to bring him down before the debuff stacks too high and becomes unhealable.
As a DK just pop army and ghoul and use your self heals and just BURRRN him down :)
Had 5 min left upon reaching the boss

Soloed this Boss on a Warlock, Demonology spec, itemlevel 371. Used my Felguard and popped every cooldown. Didn't get more than 2 stacks of the curse, so the fight was quite easy.

Before patch 5.0.4 I tried it solo as Arcane Mage with 392 ilvl. Couldn't make it at time with my 30 attempts (i know, I am stubborn).
And after 5.0.4 , still on 85 lvl, just changing spec at Frost, I made it EASILY. Just used all my cooldowns and AoEs making my way to Infinite Corruptor.
Not even once my health went down below 80%.
About mana I didn't have to worry at all.
Got the drake in the last 3 minutes.

Ugh. Totally peeved. I am a guildless solo player, level 85 Hunter. I went in to get the Bronze Drake mount, and I was reading on the other page on here about it, and no one mentioned at all the 25 minute thing. I was taking my sweet time and wondering wtf it was for, until after the tunnel when I looked for the NPC and it wasn't there. -_- Then I came to this page for the NPC, and top comment says it. You'd think someone on the other page for the actual mount would have mentioned that little tidbit.
Now I have to wait another 20 hours to do this nonesense again.

A very easy dungeon if you are level 85. I soloed it on my druid with 7 min left and never dropped below 80k health.

This is my advice on how to get the bronze drake the fastest and easiest way: Get your level 90 if you have one and solo this on heroic. The mobs are very easy to kill and I defeated the final boss with 12 minutes to spare. After looting the chest I went out the way I came into the room and turned right into the middle of the map. The infinite corrupter was standing to the left of me corrupting a dragon. I stood in front of the portal and killed him in a few seconds and got the bronze drake first try. And I didn't have a group so I didn't need to roll for it and risk losing it. If you do not get it your first time running this then do it again. This thing is easy to get since it has a 90.20% drop chance and also looks great when you are riding it. It's also an account level mount. If you do not have a high level toon and are bringing a group then read some of the other comments on here, they give very good advice. This is just the fastest and easiest way to get it if you have a level 90. My 90 was under-geared and only had 366k hp.

Btw the timer starts after you talk to Arthas not before so you can enjoy the grain dispelling walky thingy leading to Startholme city entrance.

I did this one alone and I it right off the bat (finished with about 4 minutes remaining). However, I did this shortly after with a partner and the timer wasn't there and this creature did not spawn. How does this work? Is it a once per account thing? Or is the timer part a random thing?

So I just soloed the boss as a level 100 Hunter with around 10 minutes to spare, however it all bugged out and the boss was unlootable and the kill also wasn't registered by the objective tracker at the side of the screen despite the little dialogue scene playing and everything. Very weird (and disappointing that I didn't get the mount). Can only think of a few possible reasons as to why this happened, 1) I killed him too fast? Doubtful, but you never know. 2) I hadn't spoken to Arthas to tell him I'm ready? Again I find it doubtful that was the reason, or 3) My pet (blink strike) insta-killed him first somehow which bugged everything. I find this the most likely scenario (find it stupid that this means you can't loot it and it doesn't count as your kill though). Need to remember from now on to keep my pet dismissed whilst soloing.

today ( 2-8-17) was my first time coming across Infinite Corruptor for the Bronze Drake mount. I've done Heroic Culling of Stratholme many times on many toons and always saw the message from Chromie to help her fellow dragon. but could never find him... finally Before killing Mal'Ganis I healed and then turned down a side path to the left I hadn't notice before and found Infinite Corruptor killed him and got the mount. YEAH! amazing what you find when you search. LOL
when Arthis tells you to rest and let him know your ready to face Mel'ganis who is to the right and the path leading to Infinite Corruptor is to your left..

I have ran this a few times and can't figure out how to get to the infinite corruptor he spawns but the gates are locked to get to him am I doing something wrong is there a passage to get to him. I guess I'm not seeing something on the map, or I'm missing an inn or something to cut through, I don't know, must be blind.

Regarding the REINS OF THE BRONZE DRAKE: As soon as you enter Market Row (just prior to the final boss), Arthas will make a comment about being in luck because the Market area isn't on fire, then he'll head towards another gate on the right that leads to the fight with Mal'Ganis in the Crusaders' Square. Don't follow Arthas thru the gate yet; instead, go left down the street deeper into Market Row and you will shortly come to the Infinite Corruptor. Kill him and he'll drop the Reins of the Bronze Drake. (Remember - you have to do this quest on Heroic, and you only have 25 mins to get to, and kill, the Corruptor to get the drop.)
On a side note, as long as you have time left on the timer, you can kill Mal'Ganis first and then run back to Market Row and kill the Corruptor because the events don't have to be done in any specific order - you just have to kill the Corruptor before the timer expires.
