If people are wondering why Enhancement shamans now are rolling on this, apparently, enchance uses spell power instead of +agility weapons. It baffled our guild, but that's the case now. It's how Blizzard made the changes. I guess this puts more competition for caster classes but helps out rogues and hunters (because enchancement shamans won't be rolling on their gear, now).

That's because Harry Potter spells are ridiculous rip offs of the Latin language, of which this weapon's name is part.

Incineratus means "reduced to ashes." It is the past participle form of the word "incinerare."

Etymology of "Incinerare:"
in- "into" + cinis (gen. cineris) "ashes"

To break "incineratus" down:

In = Into
ciner = Ashes
at = (changes tense to past)
us = fourth declension, changing word to noun (male, in this case)

Making it, essentially, "This masculine thing has been burned into ashes, and exists as such." Which obviously isn't true, since the named thing is a fire elemental, rather than an ash elemental, but that's hardly anything you would expect Blizzard to catch. :P

35 DPS weapon for a melee? I don't think any sane enhancement shaman would roll on it. That was the ase with some HC caster weapons which did not have their DPS reduced by a lot in comparison to melee ones. I won't even discuss giving melee weapons to hunters before melee classes.

Quit rating this guy up when you're obviously ignorant of the reason shaman can and should be using a spellpower mainhand until 4.0.6.

While weapon DPS determines how the spellpower weapons are ranked, it's obvious that even the low-DPS spellpower weapons are vastly superior to even the 372 heroic agility weapons for enhancement shaman. This is mostly due to the fact that there is a bug with Mental Quickness that causes it to apply twice when you have two flametongues active, causing you to gain spellpower from your attack power at a 1 to 1 conversion instead of a 1 to 0.5 conversion.

Point is, this is better than every single agility weapon in the game for an enhancement shaman until patch 4.0.6. Don't rate people down and up (or purge, as in the case of the above post by Aoeu and an ignorant moderator) if you don't know your facts.

You can notice an eye on the dagger moving around ala Dark Edge of Insanity. It's about 74.3 percent less cool, but it brings memories.
