So they add 583158138513 strength one-hand weapons for frost dks, single-minded furries, and tanks to use but only one poker for us

I actually picked this piece up as a tanking weapon for my warrior. The stats are all really useful, and it's speedier than a sword would usually be, meaning more melee hits and faster rage gain. I look a little silly stabbing at a boss as a tank, but it was a great upgrade!

1.Increased Swing Speed
-It may generate rage faster because of the faster swing speed, but on the other side (and more important) side of the coin it allows for more parries/dodges by the boss. Unless they've changed the system, when you're parried the boss instantly swings on you, meaning you will take more damage. This is why Frost Death Knights in WotlK were better off tanking with a 2h versus dual 1h, even though you could easily find 1-hander with tank stats on them. A dodge by the boss means less threat generated.

This actually has been changed. Parry hasting has been removed from all bosses now (ICC only saw two bosses which were capable of parry hasting anyway - Sindragosa and Lady Deathwhisper), which has also downgraded expertise's value as a tanking stat.
