This Glyph is best used in conjunction with Nemesis, as it effectively makes your metamorphosis 36 seconds with a 1 min 24 second cooldown
not sure where you get 1min 24secs CD, 30% = Metamorphosis every 2min 5secs, learn your math.

It should be noted that despite what one would think this Glyph is not part of the optimal Raid-DPS setup for Demonology. However for grinding, leveling and Heroics it is likely better since you can "skip" part of the downtime while you move from group to group, effectively increasing the uptime per combat time.
It is also (in those situations) comparatively strong for the added time in "tankmode".

This glyph is so precious on my server that it costs (on average) 40g, so for those wishing to get this off of the auction house, expect to pay a lot more than the wowhead buyout price of 5g. As stated before, the 6 seconds this glyph gives you is very useful, and worth every copper you spend on it.

Imo you are terribly wrong. Popping Meta and then DE+LP is a waste of GCD
I agree completely. I also use immolate and corruption before meta. Unless molten core procs your top dps skill is shadowbolt, so you want to fit as many SBs in while you have meta up so you want to refresh immolate/corruption as few times as possible while meta is up.
The only reason corruption is worth casting is molten core. By replacing SBs with corruption you're losing dps with the hope that MC procs (which then boosts your dps). I'm skeptical that having to refresh corruption more often could be a good thing.

Since the cooldown of a spell starts as soon as the spell is cast and not after its effects wear off, it also indirectly decreases the cooldown by 6 seconds.

Kind of better than 6 more seconds, eh?
Some things about this glyph currently in beta:
-The glyph makes the Warlocks mastery no longer increase damage dealt but instead reduce damage taken ->
Mastery becomes a purely defensive stat, the damage output of the warlock will really fall behind other classes.
-The glyph makes Metamorphosis no longer drain fury and you don't drop out of metamorphosis if you hit 0 fury. In addition, using the main filler spell starts generating fury instead of draining it. ->
You will never drop out of metamorphosis.
-All spells cast while in metamorphosis are instant casts, so you can dodge and will never have to stand still and cast.
-Soulshatter becomes a taunt with 8 second CD when using the glyph. ->
It is a "real" taunt that sets your aggro to the highest value on the target.
-Warlocks got a few new baseline abilities that are remarkably similar to things like
Vampiric Blood
and
Shield Wall
.
-A warlock in metamorphosis currently has more armor than any tankclass in full plate + shield. A warlock in metamorphosis also has the 6% critical strike reduction.

In MOP this appears to be a brother *stance* along with Metamorphosis, it provides with all benefits of Metamorphosis (all melee powers, using demonic fury and Nether Plating
]), but with unlimited duration and damage prevention (~10%) instead of increase of damage increase.
The animation is a static shadow wings behind the character.
It can only be picked if you are demonology talented.

Dark Apotheosis - The Guide.
"Witness now, the Apotheosis, of my genius."
Dark Apotheosis is an ability granted through The Glyph of Demon Hunting, a Major Glyph for warlocks. It is intended to give the Warlocks a little more survivability in Solo-play and to enable, at a stretch, the ability to backup tank whilst an actual tank is otherwise occupied or unable to perform the role. This particular ability allows a Warlock to tank at range quite effectively.
So what is it?
Dark Apotheosis is a second "Stance" if you like that increases your threat generation by 500% and grants physical and magical defenses as well as transforming some of your abilities in a manner similar to metamorphosis and conferring Nether Plating, a 250% Armor Increase and 35% Stun and Snare reduction. Even though it counts a demon form it does not consume Demonic Fury! Which means you can run around with wings indefinitely.
What can it do?
Aside from keep you alive a little longer and prevent your squishy demons being squashed, here is a comprehensive list!
What changes?
- You gain a very weak ranged auto attack in the form of shadow bolts, regardless of your weapon.
- Shadow Bolt becomes Demonic Slash, a 3 charge instant ability on a 4.5 second recharge that generates 60 Fury.
- Twilight Ward becomes Fury Ward, a damage absorption shield.
- Fear becomes Sleep, causing the target to snooze for 20 seconds.
- Soulshatter becomes Provocation, a Taunt.
Are we able to access our other Metamorphosis abilities?
Some. You can access Aura of Enfeeblement/ the Elements, Carrion Swarm, Immolation Aura and Void Ray.
What you do -Not- gain access to
.
Doom; as Corruption is not disabled by Dark Apotheosis.
Touch of Chaos; your Shadow Bolt is instead replaced by Demonic Slash.
Chaos Wave; your Hand of Gul'dan is not disabled by Dark Apotheosis.
While Dark Apotheosis may not consume Demonic Fury, your Metamorph abilities still do, excluding Demonic Slash which is a Fury Generator. Thankfully you're not restrained by 6 per second Fury Drain of regular Metamorphosis and your ability to cast Hand of Gul'Dan, Corruption and a very nice spammable Demonic Slash means you're never low on Fury.
Mastery, You, and a set of Purple Wings.
Put as simply as I can, whilst in Dark Apotheosis, the +% Damage Done modifier that applies to Metamorphosis becomes a -% Damage Taken modifier. This enables you to withstand immensely heavy punishment. Alas, you're still no tank without a Crit Immunity.
Is it worth getting this glyph?
Mmmmmyes? I would give my personal opinion on this Glyph as "Brilliant for quick soloing and being able to feel Demonic and Epic 90% of the time." I just pray you don't fall into the "I'm-a-Tank" trap. You are not a tank. You are just incredibly resilient against common mobs and in a 5-Man dungeon, you -May- be able to hold your own until an actual Tank comes along. I'd definitely say it has the most utility and flavour of all the Major Glyphs.
Since the coming of 5.0.4, Demons have become incredibly squishy, even the Voidwalker. This Glyph enables you to kill things quickly whilst your Demon of choice is able to bring the pain.
Recommended Glyphs
So, considering the fact that is in itself a Glyph, that leaves you two spots open to play around with regarding Major Glyphs. Considering the Solo-Play orientation of this particular ability, there are two that I find serve grinding and questing particularly well.
Glyph of Soul Consumption
- You restore 20% total health after you kill an enemy in Demon Form.
Well, this is an obvious choice isn't it? Dark Apotheosis is a -Constant- Demon Form and Pandaria Mobs do hit rather hard. There is a minor internal cooldown I haven't been able to gauge, but nothing too hindering. Combine this with Soul Leech for little to no downtime between mobs.
Glyph of Siphon Life
- Your corruption heals you for 20% of the damage dealt.
This is really just for keeping your healthpool up on top of Soul Leech and the likes, thus perhaps negating the need for Fury Ward on a regular basis and allowing you to spend that Demonic Fury on Molten Core procs, Carrion Swarm and the likes.
Both of these glyphs are affected by the Fel Armor passive Healing increase, thus making these two the most practical and preferred for Solo play.
Possible Talent Builds
I understand that when it comes to Talent these days, personal choice and preference is what matters. And thats what I emphasise upon and encourage, however below are a few builds I had fun making, and I would like to see some other peoples builds in the comments below.Consider all builds to make use of the three previously mentioned Glyphs.
The Shocktrooper
Get right into the fray with this gap-closing build that lets you and your Wrathguard cleave away. This build makes heavy use of Fears to allow for singling down a target with an emergency shield in the form of Sacrifical pact.

-Sacrifical Pact
-Blood fear
-Grimoire of Supremacy
-Archimondes Vengeance
The Bulwark
Become a bastion of impregnable Demonic energy as you absorb your enemies blows.. Consider this build when soloing proves difficult. The lack of a pet is noticable.

-Soul Link
-Unbound Will
-Grimoire of Sacrifice (Read Below)
-Archimondes Vengeance
I know that this is the Demonology spec, and what is a Demonology spec without Demons? The reasoning comes from the extra survivability of Grimoire of Sacrifice and Soul Link. These two talents work in such a way as to provide a passive 20% health increase from Soul Links contribution to sacrifice, and 30% increased damage. This increase in damage contributes to Soul Leech and Siphon Life procs, while you keep the enemy locked down with Shadowfury.
The Swarm
Overwhelming numbers of Demons obliterate foes before they can react.
-Dark Regeneration
-Howl of Terror
-Dark Bargain
-Blood Fear
-Grimoire of Service
-Archimondes Vengeance/ Mannoroths Fury
With this build, replace Glyph of Soul Consumption with Glyph of Imp Swarm.
Heres a few last pointers!
- Capping on Fury and then trying to swap from Apotheosis to Metamorphosis will drain your Fury at an accelerated rate.
- You can cast Demonic Leap without activating actual Metamorphosis
- Wild Imps will proc off your Demonic Slash.
- Soul Leech will return health with Demonic Slash.
- Turn of your Felguards Threatening Presence. Even with 500% extra threat, you'll struggle to keep the enemy off of him.
- I reccomend the Soul Leech, Mortal Coil and Dark Bargain Talents for a truly solo-orientated Half-Demon.
- Fury Ward is your friend.
- Do not try to DPS in dungeons within Dark Apotheosis, the Shadow Bolt transformation to Demonic Slash hinders your dps. It is more so designed for quickly slapping down quest mobs in a solo-situation.
- You can mount whilst Dark Apotheosis is active, however you cannot activate it while mounted.
- Whilst in Dark Apotheosis, you speak Demonic and can understand it in turn, allowing you to translate some previously unknown sentences spoken by demon mobs. You can not toggle off the Demonic.

On my leveling lock I am finding that this +
Glyph of Soul Consumption
is the golden ticket.
You count as "demon form" so you may use the baseline demon abilities like the interrupt or auras. You gain defensive properties, you're more mobile (instant filler nuke, leap, etc), and you self heal like a boss. Soul Consumption I find had the biggest impact on downtime, but Siphon glyph and Soul Leech talent help.

I noticed something really cool today about this glyph, when you speak (/s), you talk in "Demonic". The cool part is Horde and Alliance can both speak/understand eacother while speaking Demonic.

Having finally played around with this thing today, here are some (random) thoughts on it:
1. It is
not
going to make you anywhere equal to a real, actual tank class. If you pick this up expecting to solo ICC 25, let me save you some repair bills: don't. You're going to die if you take on anything that churns out more damage than, say, a DPS warrior can take on his own.
Having said that, this glyph makes soloing possible for a large number of cases: questing (right up through end-game zone quests), hitting old raids up (I'd say nothing more difficult than about Naxx 25, which is where I ran into problems with bosses like
帕奇维克
, among others), and generally blowing through any old dungeons (including some of the Cata ones, though you might want some DPS along to speed things up a bit). You can really take a huge beating with the abilities you get.
2. The trick to using this form is to keep your Demonic Fury topped out as much as possible. Your main methods of generating fury will be:
,

. Demonic Slash has 3 charges and recharges fast, so it's good to keep them going to keep your fury high, because a lot of your damage mitigation is going to be through the use of fury. Corruption seems dull, but if you take
, then you just added some survivability to your form that you will need. Hand of Gul'dan is same as always, but you may find it useful if you need to DOT up multiple mobs and/or slow them down some.
Drain Life may not seem like a great idea, but there's some things you can do to really pack a punch with it...
3. ...and those things are the
and the talent
. The first one is obvious: it makes your Drain Life heal more, which is great to drain-tank a boss and stay full.
But that second option, Harvest Life, is where you suddenly become a tank worth taking along. You can very, very effectively tank huge groups of mobs, using Harvest to keep yourself healthy while helping DPS them down. You won't even need a healer for anything; just walk into a huge mass of mobs, get them close, and Harvest them down.
When you combine this with the other damage mitigation tools you have, you really do kind of become slightly unstoppable. Through Naxx 25, no mobs killed me until Patchwerk; the best we could do is a stalemate where I couldn't damage them much (Cavaliers and Gargoyles were very annoying), but they never touched my health much. Of course, some fights (like Razuvious) took a while and I had to stay on top of things to keep alive, but there is no danger so long as there is demonic fury to use on cooldowns, and you're still doing DPS to put them down.
4. When I picked talents, I aimed solely to be survivable. The biggest choice here, of course, is your fifth tier talent (at level 75). When I was looking it over, I decided there was no choice of having a pet out that would help me survive longer. I could take Soul Link and use something for DPS... but I'm aiming to be as much like a real tank as possible, not some gimped hybrid wannabe of tank and DPS. By choosing

to provide even more damage mitigation.
And truthfully, Sacrifice is a really great idea. The basic buff is by itself boosts Drain Life even more, along with you melee attack in form, and Hand of Gul'dan. You can sack the voidwalker and get

ability to take damage. Or you can sack the imp for
if you are being hit with a lot of various magic debuffs. There's also
,
, and
, but for pure survival I've stuck to the first two, with good results.
So, for talents, my choices are:
(if you're going for the full-throttle "drain-tanking", may as well go all the way with it)

5. Glyphs also were taken to support the ability to take/heal damage. The only two real choices here are

, which will vastly increase your self-healing capacity. The
seems okay, but the cooldown on that thing is so long that you'd only really get, at most, a couple of uses out of it, and while it heals you, it doesn't do anything else. Drain Life, on the other hand, generates fury while being used to heal you and DPS your target, giving you more bang for your buck, I think.
Minor glyphs are whatever tickles your fancy; none of them are super-useful for tanking.
6. The rotation I typically use is: Corruption, Demonic Slash all three times, then hit Fury Ward and
to start reducing the damage coming in. After that, I just use Harvest Life, and Demonic Slash when it's got a couple of charges or so.
Let your
procs build up some until you are sure you have plenty of demonic fury, then cast them when you aren't taking much damage. Make sure you keep an eye on your health and fury, and try to keep fury as high as possible in case you take too much damage. You can sprinkle Hand of Gul'dan in there for the DOT, especially at the start of an AOE pull. Pop
when your fury's at 100% to add some more damage to the mix, or when you get adds and you're about to Harvest them.
7. Don't forget to put your talent spells in the action bar, so you'll have your survival CDs where you can get to them fast.
8. Some old content actually needs a more traditional touch. Patchwerk 25-man has been too hard-hitting so far, and I'm probably going to use
and a voidlord to take him on. The problem is generally how fast he's hitting; it's nearly impossible to stay ahead of his DPS with the usual heals, even with pots, healthstone, etc.

In Warlords of Draenor, Glyph of Demon Hunting has been removed. It's description used to read:
