I bought these to try out. I mostly got Radiant Remnant, but eventually I got an Umbral Eggplant which started the quest Invasive Cuisine.

In order to see the vendor, you have to light the lesser keyflame at:
/way #2215 64.4 31.0

It took me 8 tries to get the item.

If you can't interact with vines after using these, leave the area and come back.

Seems to only pull something up if you have anything targeted when interacting with it. Can be used to gather 不寻常的土豆 and 徽记. I recommend doing a lap around where 巴拉赛迪乌斯 spawns as there are few hostile mobs and the vines spawn fast.

It seems there is …

an area where I can pull 巴拉赛迪乌斯,
several areas where I normally pull one 光耀残渣,
and one or more areas where I usually pull nothing.

Wondering now if the pet can drop anywhere, or only in a specific area “type”…

Some rewards are area-specific.

At Duskrise acreage I got the 夜垦蔓芽pet, and eventually my efforts spawned 巴拉赛迪乌斯.

At the Whirring Field, I repeatedly spawned 遗失的箱子 (which I couldn’t access due to being not yet 80) and the 幽影茄子 quest item for the cook.

At Stillstone Pond I got the 影泽跃蛙.
